“Allison was amazing. I had a short notice business trip and she took care of my boy while I was gone. She went out of her way to bring in some packages I had delivered as well. Very professional. I will be rebooking for sure!”

“Sarah was wonderful in taking care of our cats. She was communicative while we were gone - providing great updates. She went above and beyond by cleaning up our litter room and made sure everything was nice and tidy. We appreciate it so much Sara, and will definitely want you back!”

About: With over 5 years of hands on experience in pet sitting, I’ve had the joy of caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small mammals. My services go beyond basic feeding and whatever needs. I schedule my day around the needs of the pets I care for, whether that means early morning walks, mid-day check-ins, or evening feedings and playtime. I carefully plan my week to ensure I can give each pet individual needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize trust, safety, and routine. I start by reviewing any care instructions provided feeding schedules, medication, behavior notes, and emergency contacts so I can follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible.
About: Growing up surrounded by animals, I was destined to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. Twenty years later, I've built a rich and varied experience, dividing my time between day and emergency practices. The day practices have given me a solid foundation in routine medical procedures, from drawing blood to conducting routine check-ups. In contrast, the emergency practices have taught me to think on my feet, remaining calm and focused in the face of urgency and uncertainty. Throughout my career, I've developed a special affinity for post-operative care, taking pride in helping animals recover from surgery and return to full health. I've also learned to recognize and address anxiety in animals, using a gentle and compassionate approach to alleviate their stress. Meanwhile, I've honed my technical skills, mastering the art of medication administration and injections with precision and care. Pursuing a PhD degree offers me the privilege of a highly flexible schedule. Unlike a traditional 9-to-5 job, my daily routine is not bound by specific hours. I can choose to work at times that suit me (and your fur babies) best. With a sprawling, fenced-in yard as their playground, my two energetic dogs are never short on adventure. As a fellow dog lover, I'm excited to offer pet care services that cater to your pet's individual needs. Whether you'd prefer me to care for your pet at my home, surrounded by my friendly dogs, or in the comfort of their own home, I'm happy to oblige. From crate-trained companions to free-spirited friends, I've got the experience and patience to make your pet feel at ease. My dogs, with their boundless energy and affectionate nature, are the perfect playmates for your furry friend. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rock Creek
Allison did a great job caring for our 3 small dogs and 2 cats during our vacation. She communicated promptly and sent pictures during each drop in visit. She even agreed to water plants! We appreciate her caring for our pets and would recommend her for pet care in the future.
Colleen was just what we needed. She was willing to meet and greet a head of time, and that was really appreciated. She is good about sending updates and pics. She was patient and understanding to my dog and didn't force him in to doing anything. I knew she had to be perfact, because upon arriving home the puupies were so happy.We will be calling on her again. Thank You

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
