Twenty years later, I've built a rich and varied experience, dividing my time between day and emergency practices. The day practices have given me a solid foundation in routine medical procedures, from drawing blood to conducting routine check-ups. In contrast, the emergency practices have taught me to think on my feet, remaining calm and focused in the face of urgency and uncertainty. Throughout my career, I've developed a special affinity for post-operative care, taking pride in helping animals recover from surgery and return to full health. I've also learned to recognize and address anxiety in animals, using a gentle and compassionate approach to alleviate their stress. Meanwhile, I've honed my technical skills, mastering the art of medication administration and injections with precision and care. Pursuing a PhD degree offers me the privilege of a highly flexible schedule. Unlike a traditional 9-to-5 job, my daily routine is not bound by specific hours. I can choose to work at times that suit me (and your fur babies) best. With a sprawling, fenced-in yard as their playground, my two energetic dogs are never short on adventure. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have seen them in every stage of life. I love spending time with them, and I have cared for puppies of all ages, sizes and breeds. I have also sat sit for multiple different clients. I have basic pet first aid skills, and your pets safety and happiness will always be my top priority. I am currently going to school so my availability is limited during the day. Please reach out to me for my hours and we can arrange something that works best for me and your pup! About: I am a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet sitter who is new to Rover but not new to caring for dogs. I work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. I also have experience administering medications and am comfortable following detailed feeding, medication, and care routines. My husband and I live on a farm with our 4-year-old female Standard Poodle, Maggie. She is friendly, well trained, and enjoys having other dogs around. Although our yard is not fenced, all dogs are closely supervised outdoors and taken on multiple leashed walks each day. Our property offers plenty of space for safe walks, exploring, and sniffing. I recently completed my PhD at Baylor University and bring responsibility, attention to detail, and reliability to everything I do. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I will treat your dog like part of our family while keeping you updated throughout their stay. I have cared for pets for friends, family, and others since high school, with more regular pet-sitting experience in recent years. Please note that dogs staying in our home must be comfortable using stairs. I work from home most days, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I am available throughout the day for regular potty breaks, companionship, feeding, medication, and plenty of attention. I already follow a consistent routine with my Standard Poodle, Maggie, including multiple leashed walks each day. Because we live on a farm, visiting dogs also have plenty of opportunities to walk, explore, and sniff while remaining safely supervised. I live in a cozy studio apartment above the garage on our farm, so the indoor space is modest, but dogs have plenty of opportunities for supervised outdoor time, walks, and exploring around the property. I follow each pet’s usual feeding, walking, medication, and sleep routine as closely as possible. I also provide regular photos and updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
