“Sarah was awesome! She made sure all the food and water bowls were replenished and actively communicated what the cats were doing and where they were hiding. She ever scooped the litter box which I'm sure the cats appreciated. The pictures of the cats were great and she spent a little extra time playing with the two non-scaredy cats. I'd recommend Sarah as a pet sitter any day.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have grown up around pets for as long as I can remember! I’m someone who is patient, responsible, and genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m always willing to learn what makes your pet feel the most comfortable and happy. When I’m taking care of your pets, my priority is making sure they feel loved, safe, and cared for while you’re away. Whether that means going on a walk, playing outside, getting some extra cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they get the attention they deserve! I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different energy levels and personalities, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. I also understand how important it is to feel comfortable with the person taking care of your fur babies, so I’ll keep you updated and make sure you know how they’re doing. I’m currently a student and would love to spend some of my free time caring for animals! I’m dependable, flexible, and excited to meet some new furry friends. 🐶🤍 I’d love the opportunity to take care of your pets and treat them like they’re my own! I have classes Monday–Friday, but my schedule varies throughout the week. Mondays I’m in class from 9 AM–5 PM, Tuesdays from 11 AM–12:30 PM, Wednesdays until 8 PM, Thursdays until 5 PM, and Fridays until 3 PM. I’m completely free on weekends and am also happy to work with the gaps between my classes during the week. I’m flexible and would love to find a schedule that works best for you and your pets! Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I will make sure they are supervised, secure, and comfortable at all times. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including their walking routes, feeding schedule, medications, and any specific rules you have for your home or pets. I’m also very mindful of their environment and will keep doors and gates securely closed, watch for anything that could be unsafe, and never leave your pet unattended in an unfamiliar or risky situation. I’ll treat your home and belongings with the same care and respect that I would want someone to show my own home. Most importantly, I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is safe, happy, and being well cared for while you’re away!
“Brittany did a great job taking care of our puppy, and communicated well with updates and questions! We appreciated knowing our dog was in good hands while we were gone.”

About: Growing up surrounded by animals, I was destined to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. Twenty years later, I've built a rich and varied experience, dividing my time between day and emergency practices. The day practices have given me a solid foundation in routine medical procedures, from drawing blood to conducting routine check-ups. In contrast, the emergency practices have taught me to think on my feet, remaining calm and focused in the face of urgency and uncertainty. Throughout my career, I've developed a special affinity for post-operative care, taking pride in helping animals recover from surgery and return to full health. I've also learned to recognize and address anxiety in animals, using a gentle and compassionate approach to alleviate their stress. Meanwhile, I've honed my technical skills, mastering the art of medication administration and injections with precision and care. Pursuing a PhD degree offers me the privilege of a highly flexible schedule. Unlike a traditional 9-to-5 job, my daily routine is not bound by specific hours. I can choose to work at times that suit me (and your fur babies) best. With a sprawling, fenced-in yard as their playground, my two energetic dogs are never short on adventure. As a fellow dog lover, I'm excited to offer pet care services that cater to your pet's individual needs. Whether you'd prefer me to care for your pet at my home, surrounded by my friendly dogs, or in the comfort of their own home, I'm happy to oblige. From crate-trained companions to free-spirited friends, I've got the experience and patience to make your pet feel at ease. My dogs, with their boundless energy and affectionate nature, are the perfect playmates for your furry friend. About: With over 5 years of hands on experience in pet sitting, I’ve had the joy of caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small mammals. My services go beyond basic feeding and whatever needs. I schedule my day around the needs of the pets I care for, whether that means early morning walks, mid-day check-ins, or evening feedings and playtime. I carefully plan my week to ensure I can give each pet individual needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize trust, safety, and routine. I start by reviewing any care instructions provided feeding schedules, medication, behavior notes, and emergency contacts so I can follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible.
“Dustin has made my first time experience with Rover amazing. He made sure to keep me updated with how Bella responded to him and took pictures on their walk. He definitely treated her like his own. He made her really happy during his visits. I would definitely use him again. 10/10”

About: Hi, I’m Dylin! I have cared for large and small dogs, cats, bearded dragons, chickens and goats (and every small rodent in between) since I was a child! I have petsat for family and friends since I was around eight years old. I grew up on a farm and have experience working with aggressive pets and tending to sick or injured animals. I love taking walks through Cameron Park. I’m a theater student with a flexible schedule and a love for all creatures, big and small! I’m currently living at home, working part time locally and saving to move out! My schedule is very flexible, I have early morning availability and I can work on the weekends. I am enrolled in online classes and I like to take my schoolwork with me during pet visits. The only times I can’t work are Wednesday evenings, other than that I’m free! I am respectful of client’s homes and I run a tight ship! As well as providing love and attention for your pet, a top priority of mine is to keep your house and their space clean. I go the extra mile to ensure your home is exactly as you left it! I am a considerate dog walker to furbabies and other pet owners out walking! I let dogs take their time to sniff, and I am patient with unruly or hyperactive behavior. I have experience walking with big dogs that pull; I’m stronger than I look!
About: I have cared for pets and people for many years. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits & chickens, and I dream of someday having my own homestead. I have years of experience as a care taker for children & the elderly, but if I'm being honest I much prefer the company of pets over people! I've fostered feral cats and rescued runaway dogs. There is something so pure about the love of an animal. I have a daughter (3 years old now) who loves animals so much and gets so excited every time she gets to meet a doggie or kitty, so she truly loves coming along with me for these jobs! My schedule is very flexible at this time: I'm available for daytime visits and overnight care to spend time with and love on your fur-babies! 😻 I have a great deal of respect when visiting others homes. I always take special care to leave it cleaner than I found it and tidy up any messes as needed. A clean home is a happy home! Bedding in the crate needs to be laundered or litter box needs to be cleaned out? No problem! I can also water plants, take in the mail, put trash cans out, pickup packages from the porch, load the dishwasher or whatever may be needed! I want to be of service to you and your pet as much as I can during my time in your home. References available upon request.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
