About: Animals have been a big part of my life since I was 12, and I’ve spent the last 18 years caring for cats, parakeets, and small snakes. I have hands-on experience with pets who need extra support, including caring for a family cat with cerebellar hypoplasia. I’m comfortable administering medication, trimming nails, and sticking to routines that help pets feel safe and comfortable. For the duration of undergrad, I volunteered at a bird sanctuary, where I cared for and comforted sick and lonely parrots—an experience that was truly life changing.
