“Alicia was on schedule, no excuses or drama. Responsibly followed instructions to the letter. Communications were answered promptly, pet pictures were accomplished without pet trauma. (my car is shy) Nice job!”
About: Hi! I'm an animal lover who's been around & caring for them my entire life. Caring for pets has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I've grown up with animals and have experience caring for my own pets as well as dogs, cats, and other animals belonging to friends and family. My husband and I have experience with raising puppy litters over the years as well! I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I want to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. Whether your pet needs a walk, some playtime and attention, meals and medication, or simply some company, I'm happy to provide personalized care based on what works best for them. My schedule is very flexible and I'm responsible, dependable, and will treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I love sending photos and updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are happy and doing well while you're away! I work part-time from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I'm usually able to work around your pet's routine and am available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting throughout the week. I'm happy to work with different schedules and do my best to accommodate whatever works best for you and your pets! I have two friendly medium-sized dogs (Shiba Inus) and a very social kitty who are very well socialized with other animals. They are all indoor/outdoor, so if your pet enjoys having some company, they're welcome to interact with them - or I can keep them separate if they prefer their own space. I have a private, fenced-in backyard where your pets can safely get some fresh air, exercise, and playtime. I want every pet to feel comfortable and safe, so I'll always follow your preferences and your pet's individual needs.
About: I have owned pets my whole life. I am a lover of any and all dogs!! I am a full time college student studying nursing and I cannot wait to meet your furry friend!! please reach out :) I am a full time college student who also works part time. Typically my sundays, mondays, wednesdays, fridays, and saturdays are the best days for me. Times of day can vary depending on when my class/work schedule falls. Feel free to reach out and we can set something up!! I keep an eye on my animals when they are outside or playing which would go the same for yours. I do have a dog, her name is Tessa. She was kept away from public most of the time as a puppy so she is now starting to get acclimated to other dogs as well as people, so for the safety of your animals, I do not offer any boarding services but i am happy to come walk your animals as well as drop ins!!
“Jessica was great with our cats. The one is usually not big on people and she would come out for pictures every visit. She was very detailed in her report after each detail. Highly recommend.”

“Dane & Kayla were great! They were available last minute and came quickly for a meet and greet. Our cats warmed right up to them. They even did a few extras like bringing in our weekly water delivery and cleaning up a kitty accident. We appreciated the regular communication and cute photos. Very grateful for the care!”

“Mary and Derek have been reliable and consistent taking care of Bruno. He can be a finicky eater and tends to be a little diva some times, but he has been comfortable and well cared for. Thank You!”

“My pets were happy and my house was still clean and tidy when I came home. Mark was very accommodating and flexible with his schedule. He also stepped in pretty late in the game before my vacation after my previous dog sitter canceled. Thanks for taking care of my babies :)”
“Leann was a wonderful caretaker for my two cats, Finn and Astria! She followed instructions and handled some surprise situations with grace, professionalism, and some solid creativity. We'll be sure to reach out again in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up in many households of pets - right now I have a great dane (Luna)! Past experience with puppies to older dogs including chihuahuas, doodles, labs, pitbulls, bulldogs, german shepherds, boxers, retrievers, great danes, etc! I’ve done any care including feeding, bathing, potty breaks, cleaning, walking, etc. Between May-August my schedule revolves around my part time job, but I am very flexible. During the school year, August-May, I am a full time nursing student, but still available most evenings and weekends! I will care for your pets in your home just as I would want a sitter to do in my own! Your pet’s comfort and keeping your space in good shape is my top priority.
“Amanda is amazing! We feel fortunate she was able to help us watch our cat. We had to leave in a hurry and did not get to set everything up so Amanda had to sift through some of our things to help take care of our cat. Thank you again so much for all you did and we will definitely book her again.”

“Alyse is beyond wonderful! Great communication and gives my boys so much love and attention. I had a schedule change and needed to have help so my boys would have a break and some love. She is great, seriously the best! Thank you Alyse!! 💕”

“Brady and Jennifer were amazing. They were available at the last minute and I had no problem reaching out to them. They took care of my kitty exactly as per the instructions. They were punctual and always kept an open line of communication during the entire stay. Definitely recommended.”

About: Our family of two teachers and two teenagers love animals and have been caring for them our entire lives. We have two dogs and two cats of our own, and they are truly members of our family. For years, we have helped care for the pets of family, friends, and neighbors—everything from dogs and cats to turtles, bearded dragons, and fish—so we thought it was time to bring our experience to Rover! Being teachers, our flexibility varies depending on the time of year (i.e., we are able to do more frequent daily visits during the summer months), but since we are keeping our services local, we are happy to do what we can to fit your pets into our schedule all year round. Our services include drop-ins, feedings, administering medication, and dog-walking. We both work full time Mon-Fri from 7:30 am - 4 pm during the school year. Our schedules are extremely flexible in the summer months and on weekends. We able to drop by in the morning, dinner time, and/or evening (midday on weekends and during summer months), for feedings, medication, walks, or just to play. We are comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes as well as cats (and other critters if needed).
About: I’ve been taking care of cats, dogs, lizards, and even fish for neighbors, family, friends, and acquaintances for over 15 years! I’m excited to offer my services to even more families in my community to lend a hand and rub some bellies! I currently make my own schedule with my work kiddos that I service, allowing lots of time to pop in and check on your pets throughout the day! I’m also flexible to visit early mornings, late evenings, or even spend the night. I always go the extra mile to give your pets love and attention while you’re away! Whether that’s extra long walks, cuddles for hours in the evenings, or playing outside till the sun goes down, I want your pet to feel safe while their favorite human is away.
About: I've been a pet owner almost my entire life. I've cared for hamsters, cats, and dogs primarily. I have a certificate from Animal Behavior College in basic dog training and care, along with experience working with shelter dogs. I look forward to caring for your pet. I would love to be able to care for pets full time. I am currently available for scheduled dog walks and/or dog/cat drop-ins most times during the week and on weekends. I promise to treat your pet with the utmost care and respect with safety as a top priority. Feel free to speak with me about any of your concerns.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 937 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cornwall. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cornwall. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
