About: I’m a NICU nurse looking to turn my love for animals into something I can do on the side. While this is my first time offering pet-sitting services professionally, I have years of experience caring for animals and am very comfortable with both cats and dogs. I currently have four cats of my own, but my family has many dogs I deeply love. I’m used to volunteer at PETS until I had my son, because helping animals is something I’m truly passionate about. As a NICU nurse, I’m patient, responsible, attentive, and detail-oriented. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I would treat your cat/dog with the same love and care I give my own. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or just some extra company while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help! I work three 12-hour shifts per week as a NICU nurse, and my schedule varies, but this gives me flexibility on my days off to spend time caring for your pets! My husband is also involved and helps provide flexibility with our schedule. I can coordinate my availability around your pet’s needs and am happy to communicate ahead of time to make sure we find a schedule that works for everyone. I understand how important consistency and reliable care are for your pets, and I want to make sure they receive plenty of love and attention while you’re away! I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved, especially when their owners are away! I have four cats of my own and have grown up around dogs and other animals, so I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs with different personalities and needs. When caring for pets in their own homes, I will follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. About: I've owned and cared for pets of all sorts, as well as show and farm animals, since I was a small child. I love them all and they all usually love me, even the one's people say don't like men/people. I'm also big and boisterous, equating to perfect (but kind) dominance and control, as well as capabilities the average person might not be able to do, like separating dog fights or controlling unruly large animals. I'm currently self-employeed and can craft my schedule at will to fit any needs! Available for walks, sitting, overnight boarding, and pop in visits at all times. I have 3 dogs, 6 cats, and a frog. I’ve managed long-term epilepsy care and I’m comfortable giving medications. I cook balanced meals and focus on nutrition, not just the basics. More than anything, I keep pets engaged, comfortable and safe, so owners can feel truly at ease. I am a jiu jitsu and yoga instructor, as well as a homemaker. My schedule is fairly open, and easily adjusted to accommodate your fur baby’s needs. I will follow any and all instructions provided for the safe & comfortable handling of your fur baby. When out of the house for a walk, I will ensure they are leashed and I will be always in full alert to prioritize your fur baby’s experience.

About: I’ve owned dogs, cats, and horses my entire life. I’ve been dog sitting for others for 7 years. I’ve owned dogs with behavioral issues from resource guarding to fear reactivity towards other people and animals and medical needs like Degenerative Myelopathy, ACL tears, dental disease, and an enlarged heart requiring specialized attention and care. I am a lead volunteer trainer of new volunteer dog handlers at the Harrisburg Humane Society. When I’m not training new volunteers, I handle dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, behavioral, and medical needs. I’ve taken dogs to off site events for exposure and I’m an adoption counselor helping pair families with the right dog for their home. I have worked with rescue and foster dogs. I will make sure that your dog’s needs are met and will meet them at their level while helping them grow. I will work on patience and consistency, and I will even work on commands with them. I have experience walking multiple dogs at once as well. Your dog’s needs will be met and they will be just as loved and happy until you get home to them! I am currently a high school English teacher and pursuing my Masters in Business Administration and Strategic Leadership while also running volunteer trainings at the Humane Society of Harrisburg weekly. I used to waitress part-time 45 minutes away, but it became too much with my work and school schedule. I love working with people and animals while educating both and this allows me the flexibility to do what I love. From the end of August-middle of June I primarily have hours after 4 and through the evening during the week. While I am on breaks throughout the year and during summer, my availability is open during the mornings and daytime as well. I can be flexible on weekends depending on the time and day! I will meet every need you have for your dog or cat. I am reliable, patient, and consistent. I can work on things your pet is struggling with like impulse control, commands, leash walking, etc. I am comfortable crating and separating pets as needed. If your dog has reactivity with new people or other animals - I have an extra soft spot for them as my own pets have struggled with that. I will do slow introductions to make sure your pet is building a relationship with me that is safe and comfortable at their pace. Consistency, patience, and structure is key. I can provide a mix of walks and play time as well as enrichment if the weather is bad. I do not mind the weather changes or daylight changes as their needs come first. Even if your dog wants a quick walk and cuddle time, we will do what they need. I will also communicate with you each time by sending a detailed pet update or report card so you know how they are doing.
