About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life and cared for them for the last 4 years. I am 19 years old and extremely active, I love runs and long walks and playing with all types of pets. I’m responsible and will take very good care of your pets. Im currently working part time and have plenty of time to check in and stay over to care for pets. I work some nights and am usually back home before 8. I live and work by two simple rules, treat your house as if it were my own and to leave everything better than I found it.

About: I have 4 years of professional animal care experience, and have grown up around dogs and cats. I’ve provided care for dogs, cats and reptiles. I’m comfortable working with animals with special needs. I currently work full-time on week days from 8-4. If you live within 10 minutes of West Asheville I am able to provide bathroom breaks every 4 hours. If you live further out, I can provide breaks every 8 hours. I have a decent amount of flexibility in my schedule and I have no pets of my own, so all of my attention can be on your fur babies!! I can’t currently offer boarding in my home as my roommate has a dog, but I am happy to come to your house. If needed, I can provide plant care during my stay, and will ensure you come home to a clean house and happy animals.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve cared for my own for over 20 years, including through aging, illness, lots of meds and treatments. Able to care for any age or size and have experience with oral and subcutaneous meds for cats and oral meds for dogs. I’m currently working from home, so I’m available throughout the day and also anytime after 5pm - weekdays and weekends. So, available for drop-ins, pet sitting in my house or yours (as long as you have WiFi), walks, etc. I have one very elderly cat in my home. So if your pet doesn’t do well with cats, I can come to your home. No fenced in yard currently, but I go on frequent walks!

Rachel was very responsive and communicative which made her meeting Bandit, going over Bandit's care, and getting keys, etc., all easy and seamless! It is clear she loves and understands pets very well. We were away for over 2 weeks and Rachel came for daily visits during that time - she sent photos and updates each day and it was clear that Bandit was very happy and well cared for. Upon our return everything was is good order and Bandit greeted us with a kitty "smile"! We highly recommend Rachel, and hope to have her care for Bandit when we next need kitty care!”

In my home or my client’s home, I care for pets by following their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, and get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection based on their personality and energy level. I’m mindful of any specific instructions from the owner, including medications, special diets, or behavioral needs. I also keep their space clean, make sure they have a calm and stress-free environment, and give lots of reassurance so they feel at ease while their owner is away.
