About: I have taken care of and grew up with all kinds of small, medium and large dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, birds, rodents and more. I am signing up for Rover as I love animals and can’t have a per where I live and would love to help care for yours. I live in Nevada City CA and can travel to Lincoln, Roseville or Sac if you’re able to help with reasonable gas compensation. I miss my former roomie’s doggo (Ollie the Shiba Inu featured in many of my pics) sooo much and would love to care for your dearest animal family member. I grew up with animals and have professionally taken care of dogs as a dog walker, as a paid house and overnight dog sitter and cat sitter, and have caretaked for long periods of time professionally for friends’ and many different roommates’ dogs and houses. I love ALL animals and happy to also care for your exotic pet - lizards, geckos, snakes, rats, fish, horses (I love horses too and have some but limited horse care experience). - I literally love all animals! I have volunteered at an exotic zoo doing animal care and feeding, cleaning the cage for several months and even studied abroad in college and lived in Kenya Africa for 3 months to study wildlife management. Fun fact - I got to hold and feed a baby sloth as part of this. I have a flexible and open schedule presently as and am looking for work and pet sitting opportunities. I would love to work with animals that I can continue to build a relationship with - like be your regular dog walker, or maybe you live here part-time and want support for your cat while you’re out of town. I've had my challenges with the dogs so for someone to come in a take over for a week seemed a little daunting however Yolanda came through with 5 stars... I have no doubt the dogs were well taken care of as all instructions left were meticulously followed and the dogs were definitely well cared for not to mention the house was cleaner then I left it. About: I have always grown up around animals and absolutely love them and getting to know their own personalities. I have had cats and dogs and a bunny! I can’t wait to meet your fur babies! I am new to California, and originally from North Carolina and Massachusetts! I am currently a cosmetology student during the week but have flexible availability in the evening and early mornings as well as weekends! I will treat all animals with patience, love, and compassion but if needed I can be stern. At home my dog get plenty of cuddles and recommended exercise, my bunny gets nightly cuddles and dark room for 9-5 to get rest. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
