About: I've taken care of pets, mostly cats, since I was 8. My mom's side of the family were vet techs and farm kids, so I've grown up knowing how to take care. I've also handled multiple special needs animals, both dogs and cats with skin and diet issues. I understand how animals can be with new people, and take the time and energy to let them trust me. I will be working and going to school in the upcoming spring semester. I like to travel so certain dates may be unavailable, however, I love to take care of animals and will dedicate my time to their care. I follow instructions that the owner would like, and supervise their fur-baby to keep them safe from eating things they shouldn't, staying within their allowed area, and most importantly, being able to be themselves and play or relax. I understand how to give medications, even to those pets that do not like taking them. I want to give the care that I would want my pets to have.

About: I’ve taken care of a few dogs in the past few months, I’ve also help master some of the basics training. I keep the pet entertained and read body language to respect boundaries! I have also volunteered at Jax humane society. My schedule is pretty flexible. I work from home so it’s not much of a hassle for me to make time for your fur baby! I have a long side walk to take long walks. I have a nice sided yard so they can run around and play. There will be other dogs around the area when we go on walks so they will have some type of interaction.

About: I have had dogs since I was young. My family has always looked to me for nail trims and baths for our family pets. I am also going to school to be a Veterinary Technician. I am in school part time so I have plenty of days open to play with your pups. Monday mornings and afternoons, Wednesdays, and Fridays through Sundays. I am available to come to your house to feed and play with your pups. I can take them on walks or supervise their outside time in your yard.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals my whole life. my uncle owned a farm with many animals and I would take care of them every week. This is where my love for animals came from. I know how to take care of animals as well know when something is wrong. I have owned animals of all types. I’ve owned dogs as big as American eskimos and small ones like toy poodles. About: Hello! My name is Lindsay and I’ve been working with rescues around Jacksonville for the past 20 years. I started at humane society and worked with a few locals rescues since and have been around all kinds of dogs and temperaments. I am beginning my dog walking and check in business and will expand to dog boarding for special dogs that can’t always go to traditional Boarding. I understand a lot of dogs have special needs from anxiety, not being friendly with other dogs, fears of storms and fireworks, and even medication treatments. I have personally fostered hundreds of dogs from puppies to moms to seniors and am acutely aware that sometimes a walk or check in is a bit more. I understand the guilt of a dog parent not being able to check in on their babies or give them enough time during the work week and I’m here to help with that. I look forward to creating a consistent client base of wonderful dog families that may be overlooked or unable to be cared for by the standard walker. I am happy to take your dog to parks to socialize safely, handle vet appointments better than your husband or even just reassure you that you are doing your best as a pet parent. While not yet training certified, I have completed training with several trainers and fosters and can help with the basics and/or continue your style of training for additional reinforcement. Above all your dogs happiness and health is the most important. I will not use shock collars or prong collars for walking. For safety reasons I will not use retractable leashes either. I have plenty of spare harnesses and leashes for walking if needed. I also believe creating a bond of trust and leadership with your dogs is important. I ensure your pet doesn’t get overheated and takes breaks as needed. Weather is funny in Florida and I will make sure you pet can walk, potty and play safely.

About: I have almost 2 years of professional experience working with dogs and cats. I am experienced with pets from around 3 months up to 15+ years. I am experienced in feeding, as well as administering both oral and topical medications to both cats and dogs. I have experience with shy, timid and anxious pets, and I have dealt with aggressive/reactive behavior. I have experience working with multiple pets at one time, walking up to 3 dogs at one time, and monitoring up to 25 dogs in a play setting at one time. I have administered first aid to dogs with clipped nails, scratched paws, minor bites from other animals, and other various small injuries, as well as sickness. I currently have 2 cats of my own, and I’ve had family pets ever since I was a little kid. At one point there were 7 cats and 4 dogs being taken care of at my home, and I was relied on to help feed, bathe, and walk them. I’m an animal lover. Sometimes I feel I connect better to animals than people themselves! I can bring the energy, but I’m also responsible, patient, and can remain calm when dealing with animals that are in distress or are very hyper. I will always follow how the owner of the pet wants that pet to be treated, trained or disciplined. Currently a full time student looking to fill my free time with taking care of your fur babies. My schedule does fill up quick with school activities, hobbies, traveling, etc, but I will keep my schedule up to date as much as possible 🩷 I currently do not have the proper equipment or means to board any animals at the moment. I treat every home with the same respect and care I'd want for my own, securing doors and gates, following your specific instructions for feeding, medication, or routines, and staying alert to anything that seems off with your pet's behavior or health. On walks, I keep dogs leashed and under close watch at all times, avoid unfamiliar dogs or situations that could cause stress, and pay attention to weather and pace so it stays safe and enjoyable. I am knowledgeable in dog/cat first aid and carry an emergency pet first aid kit. My background as a veterinary technician means I know what to watch for if something seems wrong, and most importantly I do not panic when faced with stressful or emergent situations.
