About: Hi, I’m Deandrea and I’ve been pet sitting in Jacksonville Fl since 2017. I’ve always loved animals from a young age. I have one dog Rico and 2 yellow belly turtles (they are in a tank) . My daughter and I have pet sat birds, bearded dragons, rabbits, snakes, dogs and cats. We’ve had puppies and geriatric dogs. Your pets are safe with us. We like to sit outside and go for walks regularly. I no longer live in a house with a fenced in back yard but we have plenty of grass in the back and lots of space to play safely. We look forward to meeting you and your pets. ❤️ I already have a dog and turtles so my daughter already involves taking care of pets. It would be the same with your pets just more cuddles and walks. I feed them, play with them, take them on walks. I’m a big cuddler so I like hugs and giving pets. I’m also experienced with administering meds and assisting in female menstrual cycles .
About: I've taken care of pets, mostly cats, since I was 8. My mom's side of the family were vet techs and farm kids, so I've grown up knowing how to take care. I've also handled multiple special needs animals, both dogs and cats with skin and diet issues. I understand how animals can be with new people, and take the time and energy to let them trust me. I will be working and going to school in the upcoming spring semester. I like to travel so certain dates may be unavailable, however, I love to take care of animals and will dedicate my time to their care. I follow instructions that the owner would like, and supervise their fur-baby to keep them safe from eating things they shouldn't, staying within their allowed area, and most importantly, being able to be themselves and play or relax. I understand how to give medications, even to those pets that do not like taking them. I want to give the care that I would want my pets to have.

About: I’ve taken care of my lab that is no longer with me for 7 years and I frequently host my friends dogs for weeks at a time while they are deployed. I work for the U.S. Coast Guard Monday through Friday. My normal work hours are 8-2 but the hours flex daily and I usually have at least one day off through the week not including weekends. I have a fenced in backyard and I live by myself so your pet will have free reign over the property. I can also crate your dog if needed while I’m out of the house.
“I had a fantastic experience with Karen. She is friendly and calm with my nervous dog Luna, which made a huge difference for her first walk with a new person. I really appreciated how Karen took the time to ask thoughtful questions about Luna's routine, quirks, and comfort level before heading out. It was clear Karen genuinely cares about making the walk a positive experience. Highly recommend!”

About: I’m an animal care professional with over five years of hands-on experience in shelter work, neonatal fostering, wildlife handling, and veterinary clinic support, and I’m currently a student looking to go into the vet med field. I’ve cared for everything from bottle-fed kittens and young puppies to senior pets, livestock, reptiles, and native wildlife! My background includes medication administration (oral, topical, and subcutaneous), post-surgical recovery support, behavioral observation, enrichment planning, and multi-species handling. I can confidently say that I am highly attentive to subtle changes in appetite, energy, and behavior, and that I prioritize safety, structure, and low-stress care, as the health and well-being of the pets I attend to is what’s most important. I have extensive experience with: • Neonatal kittens and puppies • Fearful, anxious, or under-socialized animals • Medication routines and special-needs pets • Multi-pet households • High-energy or working breeds Inviting someone to care for and look after your furry friend is no small feat, and I take great pride in being given the privilege to. I provide consistent updates, clear communication, and dependable care so you can feel confident while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities :) Pet care is something I intentionally structure into my daily and weekly schedule! I make sure to maintain a consistent routine and only accept bookings I can reliably commit to, ensuring each pet receives focused, unhurried attention. I always prioritize punctuality, clear communication, and keeping pets on their normal feeding, medication, and enrichment schedules to reduce stress while their owners are away. Because I have a background in structured animal care environments, I’m comfortable balancing multiple routines while staying attentive to each pet’s individual needs! Safety and low-stress handling are always my top priorities! I carefully follow all care instructions provided, including feeding guidelines, medication schedules, and behavioral notes. I always take time to observe each pet’s comfort level and adjust my approach accordingly, especially with shy or anxious animals. In clients’ homes, I respect boundaries and maintain a clean, secure environment, double checking doors, gates, and enclosures, and ensuring pets are safely contained before entering or leaving. I’m sure to avoid introducing unfamiliar stimuli and maintain a calm presence to help pets feel secure. If I notice any changes in appetite, behavior, or energy levels, I will always communicate promptly so owners can stay informed.

The first thing I do when I get home is take my dog on a long walk. The rest of the evening I usually spend at home with my loved ones unless I’ve have other plans! The well-being safety and health of my pets are always my number one priority. I don’t have kids of my own yet, so I treat them like they’re mine. Both my pup and my kittens get two healthy portions of meals a day, daily attention, and lots of exercise.

She followed my instructions to the tee and helped bring packages in while I was away which was an added bonus to her awesomeness. Will definitely book with her in the future and encourage others to as well.”

Alderman Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Christy has been walking our boys Jack and Cartman weekly for over a month. Christy is always prompt and does a great job. She truly is an expert and that was clear right away during our meet and greet with the types of questions she was asking about our boys. In December my husband and I added a new human addition to the family and we couldn't provide the boys as much walking and exercise they were used to. Thanks to Christy our boys are happier and getting the exercise they need! I can't say enough about how great Christy has been, thanks!

10/10 …. our plans changed due to weather, Charlayda was very responsive, flexible and prioritized our pups even during freezing temps to ensure they had walks, released energy, cleaned up a torn/shredded pillow and provided real time updates throughout the day!! I highly recommend her !!
