About: Since I was ten I’ve had a cat in my house, and from the second I met her cats were my new favorite. Since then I have gotten another cat who, unfortunately, had to get a leg amputated. He finds his way around, and I have gained valuable experience with cats with disabilities through that. I also have learned what it takes to care for cats in veterinary medicine as a veterinary technicians assistant. I got to work closely with cats for regular appointments, lodging stays, and prepping for procedures. I used to always be a dog person, but ever since cats came into my life I can’t get enough of them.

About: I’ve taken care of my lab that is no longer with me for 7 years and I frequently host my friends dogs for weeks at a time while they are deployed. I work for the U.S. Coast Guard Monday through Friday. My normal work hours are 8-2 but the hours flex daily and I usually have at least one day off through the week not including weekends. I have a fenced in backyard and I live by myself so your pet will have free reign over the property. I can also crate your dog if needed while I’m out of the house.

“I don’t even know where to start. I had to go to the hospital unexpectedly and was panicking about my cats and my apartment. Illeana responded right away and stepped in when I really needed someone. She met me at the hospital to get my keys and took such good care of my babies, sending me pictures and updates that gave me so much peace of mind. But what she did beyond that completely shocked me. I came home to a clean apartment. She took out all my trash, cleaned my kitchen, washed dishes, bought bowls for my cats, left cleaning supplies and even flowers on the counter. She showed me so much kindness during one of the hardest weeks I’ve had. I have no family or friends in this country so she’s the only one I had during that time. “Excellent!!! Fozzie's behavior when I picked him up spoke for the great time he had. Fozzie said hi to me in usual happy fashion, yet did not want to leave. Normally, Fozzie is ready to leave wherever he is and doesn't speak to me. He actually ignores me until we get into the car. Her big brown lab was a sweet heart and her cats let Fozzie sniff them, too. Adriana, welcomed me all the way inside her home. The living room was set up for a place for pets to lay & relax; there were multiple cushions on the floor. Her back yard is fenced with ample room for running & playing, with a good size pool for pup swimming. When I came in to pick him up, she didn't rush me out. I bonded with the big guy with lots of rubbing & scratching; Fozzie wasn't his usual jealous self, getting between me and the pet I was petting. This was a very unique experience; it was great. Anytime we are in Jacksonville, FL, I know where Fozzie is going.”

I spend time volunteering at the local Humane Society to learn how to better care for animals like yours. I’m a full time student looking to make most of my income here on Rover. He surpassed all our expectations. Not only did he take amazing care of our dog as if he was his own, but also sent lots of photos/videos throughout the week so that we never felt too far away.
