About: I have been a dog Grandma for the past 13 years and have taken care of and nurtured my "pet relatives". I am ready to take my skills and love of dogs "on the road". I am not available for pet care on Monday or Tuesday as I have a "human" Grandma gig, but am available for the rest of the week or long weekends. About: Hi there, I'm Liz! I'm excited for the opportunity to meet and care for your pet. I grew up on a farm in northern Minnesota, where my family raised beef cattle, sheep, chickens, and horses. Animals are and always have been a huge part of my life. I now live in Mankato with my Mini Goldendoodle, Winston, and I was a high school Agriculture teacher. I take the responsibility of caring for animals seriously. In college I took a variety of animal science classes covering small and large animal care and handling, nutrition, and vet science. I started this service because of Winston. When I worked 10-hour days, I couldn't justify leaving him home alone that long. A friend who worked from home offered to take him for the day, and it was worth every penny, for my peace of mind and for his health and well-being. That's the care I wanted for my own pup, and now I can offer it to yours. With winter coming, I know how hard it is to get outside when it's dark and freezing. I make sure Winston gets plenty of exercise all winter long, and I'd love to do the same for your dog. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, day sitting, and boarding. About: I have a deep connection with everything living. Growing up with animals on my side throughout my childhood and having 5 at one time was a lot of work but it was surly amazing.
