My husband and I would 100% trust our dog with David. We have an anxious pup and was worried about strangers meeting him but from the first meet, our dog was very comfortable with David. He gave punctual updates while we were gone and the visit went smoothly. When my husband and I came back home, we found a very nice handwritten card, chocolates, and even a dog toy from David! A very nice gesture and the kind of generous person we would invite back to our home to care for our pup. Thanks for your help David!!

What a gem Kim is!! I have a 7 month old HIGH energy GSP mix and when I tell you guys this puppy mom was stressin about going away this weekend for my husbands birdhday/father's day weekend..I was stressin'! Should I stay home? Who can handle this puppy? Will he be okay with a sitter? Will THEY be okay with my Max? But Kim eased all those worries for me. We did a meet and greet with Max first. (which put me at ease that he would be just fine with her) While we were away, Kim sent frequent updates and kept reassuring me that he was a sweetheart and that he's just simply a puppy! She even brought in the mail for us. What a relief it is to know that my fur baby was well taken care of and that he didn't drive Kim away 😆😆. We will most definitely be using Kim again in the future! Thank you Kim!

I’m a bit of a worrier when it comes to leaving my dog and house; but Christina was the best house and dog sitter I could have asked for. She was extremely professional and easy to work with. She was highly communicative and made it very easy to relax while on vacation. She even endured a winter blizzard while house sitting and offered to stay at the house in the event our flight was delayed or canceled. Our giant Bernese mountain dog can sometimes be a handful (hence why he’s not in a doggie hotel), but again, Christina was amazing with him. It is clear that she genuinely enjoys her job and working with pets. I now have zero worry for the next time we travel because Christina is amazing.

Angela did a great job watching my dog while I was away. My dog has some special needs for prescriptions and Angela was good about making sure he got what he needed. She started at the house and when I got home everything was as I had left it. I am really appreciate being able to trust having someone like Angela come over to take care of my dog.

Christopher was absolutely amazing! He came to our home early for a walk-through and made sure he understood everything about our dogs’ routines and our house. He was very professional and went above and beyond to check on our pups and keep us updated while we were away. It was clear how much he truly loves animals, and knowing he’s also a vet nurse gave us such peace of mind during our trip. Our dogs were happy and well cared for, and our home was spotless when we returned. We couldn’t recommend Christopher more highly!

Jessica was absolutely amazing as a house sitter. She was great with our two dogs and they are not the easiest to handle. One is a blind German Shepherd and the other is a skiddish Bernese Mountain Dog. But right away she had them both cuddling up to her. She's a natural. She also took excellent care of the house, was super informative and responsive, and made us feel very confident leaving our dogs and house with her while on vacation. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

About: I’ve been involved with animals my whole life. While having my own dog for 10+ years, I’ve spent plenty of time taking care of family, friends, and neighbors pets when they were away from home. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, potty and playtime, being someone that could let their pets have someone while they’re away. I’ve also had chances of hosting mini fundraisers to support and supply shelters in the past to give those animals some happiness while they wait for their forever homes. I’m a recent college graduate who is currently looking for some summer work as I continue my search for a professional career. I am available most days of the week, unless discussed otherwise. For dog walks or walk ins, I will not be available for times after 7:30pm. However, I’ll be as flexible as possible when it comes to scheduling potential stays or visits for your pets! I can help with any tasks within my capabilities. I can feed your pets, take dogs on walks, provide some play time or lounge time for the less energetic dogs. I can also give your dogs a bath if ever needed!

We have never left our dogs with anyone that wasn't family before, and we were worried about our older dog being ok with a stranger for a week, but Kat is now family ❤ She was welcomed by both our fur babies and she was awesome with them. She sent pictures, kept us updated daily, and called when there was a problem that needed immediate attention. We will not only be using her services again, but we have referred her out to our friends that are looking for amazing pet services. Our pets were well cared for, snuggled, and played with. We are already looking forward to our next vacation knowing that Brody and Jade will be more than well taken care of.

Jennifer was absolutely a wonderful sitter for our puppy Coco. She sent pictures to keep us updated as to how and what Coco was doing throughout the stay. Coco appeared to be enjoying herself and even felt comfortable enough to cuddle and sleep next to Jennifer on her sofa. It was Coco's first time being away from home without us and Jennifer made it a great experience not only for Coco but for us!

Leah was an outstanding sitter for our two dogs and cat! Our senior lab has special needs and mobility issues, she did a wonderful job of caring for him and making sure he was comfortable the entire time we were away. Our younger dog immensely enjoyed her company and was spoiled with lots of treats and playtime. She was also incredibly patient with our formerly feral cat who is very wary of new people, finding ways to gradually gain her trust and provide the best possible care. Leah really took the time to get to know all of our pets, remarking on their personalities and quirks along the way. We had such peace of mind while our dogs and cat were in Leah's care, we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and professional pet sitter!

We booked Jahaira again for an 11 trip to Europe. She was absolutely wonderful. We got lots of pictures and she was easy to communicate with. She and our dog Bailey snuggled and took walks together. She even coaxed our cat out of hiding. The house was nice and tidy when we returned. We will miss having her take care of our fur babies.

Julia is a superstar. We had to go on a trip for 6 days and our cats had never been left in someone else’s care, so we were a little anxious how everything would go. Julia asked a lot of great questions beforehand and when our spicy cat gave her 2 days of hiding and hissing, she was very sensitive and caring (others would have given up!). By the end, both our boys looked forward to Julia caring for them and I am convinced they miss her. She took care of our boys like they were her own. She also sent us daily updates and photos so we could check in on how things were going.

I needed a sitter with short notice and David was able and willing to come meet my 3 dogs within hours of contacting him. He was kind and gentle with my boys and knew how to approach one of them who is fearful. He listened carefully to my instructions and asked when something wasn’t clear. I felt comfortable leaving my dogs with him when we met the same day he stayed overnight. He stayed longer when we were going to be home later which I appreciated. When we got back, he left a kind note and some chocolates for us. I would hire David again!

I cannot recommend Laurie highly enough! She watched my dog, Carli, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the very first moment, it was clear that Laurie has a natural gift for working with animals. What impressed me most was her nurturing and patient approach. Carli felt right confortable immediately, which gave me such peace of mind. Laurie is incredibly well-behaved, professional, and attentive to every detail of Carli's routine. It is rare to find someone who treats your pet and your home with the same love and care as if they were their own. When I return Carli was happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. If you are looking for a sitter who is kind, reliable, and truly passionate about dog care, look no further. We will definitely be booking again!

She sent wonderful photos and videos that made me feel so good about the care that Taylor was getting. I had some special instructions, and she followed them so carefully. Aileen has a wonderful personality, and you can tell that she loves dogs. Dogs love her too. I never worried about leaving Taylor with her – she was in the absolute best hands! As a bonus, she even cleaned up before she left, and my house was immaculate. If I could give her 100 stars I would. I will definitely use Aileen again

FAQs for House Sitting - Ramblewood

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Ramblewood on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 5,397 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Ramblewood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ramblewood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ramblewood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ramblewood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ramblewood. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
