Caring for pets in their homes is the same for me as I treat my own pets at home, I show them love and care. Meeting the pet’s needs is a top priority, as is their safety and comfort while I’m staying overnight with them, visiting them, or walking them.

A quick way to a dog’s heart is by taking them on a walk, this helps us bond and builds trust. Exercise also gives the dog mental and physical stimulation, so I’m always happy to take the dogs I care for walking, or to the dog park (depending on the owner’s preferences). Playtime with pups is another important activity, it helps to build their trust and comfort level around me. I'm a big dog lover but love cats the same! I’ve got two cats at home, so I know how much cats need their social time too. I always enjoy meeting new cats and spending time with them!

I’ve been with Rover since August 2018, starting out part time and quickly changing to full time! I’m a huge animal lover with genuine respect, and love for all animals. I’ve had cats and dogs in my home my entire life, and all of my pets have been like family. I’ve enjoyed time over the years volunteering at shelters, going to dog parks, and being around animals as much as possible. For almost eight years now I’ve been dog walking/pet sitting, and I feel very lucky to have my job be something I love so much, while getting to meet so many awesome animals. For the happiness and health of our pets, exercise and engaging are so important. Your pet’s health and safety would take priority, but their comfort and happiness would be my other main focuses while caring for them. I have a flexible schedule and can take care of dogs of any size or age. I can give them as much exercise as you prefer, around your neighborhood or even a dog park. I love cats as much as I love dogs, and have two senior kitties of my own at home. They were both feral when I adopted them, so caring for shy cats is something I have lots of practice with! I’m happy to give any special care your pet/pets may need, and keep their routine as normal as possible for them. I’ll treat your animals and your home like my own, with love and respect.

Leah was an outstanding sitter for our two dogs and cat! Our senior lab has special needs and mobility issues, she did a wonderful job of caring for him and making sure he was comfortable the entire time we were away. Our younger dog immensely enjoyed her company and was spoiled with lots of treats and playtime. She was also incredibly patient with our formerly feral cat who is very wary of new people, finding ways to gradually gain her trust and provide the best possible care. Leah really took the time to get to know all of our pets, remarking on their personalities and quirks along the way. We had such peace of mind while our dogs and cat were in Leah's care, we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and professional pet sitter!

Leah was wonderful once again. We had an emergency and needed to extend our time away. Leah stepped right in and assured us that she would be there for whatever we needed to care for our cat. She has been a life saver at times. She is always available and very flexible. Highly recommend Leah if you want to feel at ease when you travel.
Leah has once again taken wonderful care of Callie. She communicates every day with details and sends pictures. Callie is always content when we return. I would highly recommend Leah! She is the best!!
