“Angela was super sweet and I loved the photos of my cat while we were gone! My cat hasn’t ever stayed with a stranger for that long without us and he was a little mischievous with some hiding spots but Angela handled it very well by giving him his time to come around to her. Highly recommend!! :)”

“Taylor was absolutely amazing! She knows dogs well and is super friendly and compassionate. I trusted her completely with my 3 fur babies while I flew home for the holidays. She even gave them all stockings with a toy, treat and blanket in them😊 So sweet! She kept me updated always with texts and pictures and I never was worried my whole trip. Her children are so sweet and loved on my fur kids and I was so glad everyone became good friends. I 100% recommend booking with Taylor if you are in need of fantastic sitter in Port Charlotte!”

“Reese and Riplee had a great overnight visit. Jennifer was a joy to work with while my husband had surgery in Gainsville. I didn’t worry about my babies one bit as she sends texts and pictures letting me know how content they are. I will definitely call on Jennifer next time they need watched.”

“Barbara and Mario did a wonderful job babysitting my two small dogs, Emmy and Hailey, for the weekend. It was such a comfort knowing they were in caring and trustworthy hands. My girls came home happy and well cared for. I’m very grateful and would absolutely trust them again!”

“We had a great experience with Monica. She was so friendly and helpful with our dogs. Very responsive to messages and sent pictures throughout the stay. Our dogs came home healthy, happy, and tired from all the fun they had. I would definitely have Monica watch my dogs again.”

“Jennifer provided excellent care of our dogs while we left the area for some vaca! The excellent care included things like instilling eye ointment to our shih tzu, providing us with updates and even sending us videos of their day. Would definitely recommend her when needing your fur babies left in exceptional hands which reduces your stress while on your retreat or staycation.”

“Dana accepted our request within a week of the stay, so we were so thankful she could fit us in last minute. Our cat is very nervous around new people and hides the first couple days but Dana let us know that she came out to eat and sit near her which doesn’t happen everytime. We felt a good energy the moment we met Dana and felt comfortable leaving our baby there with her. She sent us photos and words each day of the stay, I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out again if needed. Thank you so much Dana!!!!”

“We were so lucky to have Adani care for our girl while we were away. She sent pictures and a video along with feedback about how she was doing. She gave her attention, cuddled with her and let her try some of her dogs food toppers, which Verrin LOVED! She even taught her a new trick! You can tell that Adani loves dogs and has a wealth of knowledge to care for them. We will definitely be using Adani again if she is available when we need a sitter for our girl.”

“Aliyana was absolutely amazing with my boy Kenai super attentive towards him and he had friends there too with her animals. She also sends pictures and videos throughout the day so your always in the loop of things. She took him out to play and on multiple walks and treats. I know this says five stars but she deserves more 100/100 Ladies and Gentlemen your pets deserve someone amazing and she is all that and some. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy. This is now our go to pet sitter”

“I'm so glad we found Krista to care for our dog while we were out of town, she took great care of him! My dog usually takes some time to trust people but he warmed up to Krista right away, it was obvious to me too how much she loves and knows about dogs. Her communication was wonderful and she provided me with an update and photos each day, which I really appreciated. She has a very lovely and clean home with a nice fenced yard. Bryanna was absolutely wonderful. She kept in touch with us all weekend and let us know how Clyde was doing and sent pictures etc. Her house was perfectly equipped for animals to enjoy themselves and have all the comforts of home. This was our first time leaving Clyde and I feel we picked the perfect person. I can’t say enough about Bryanna. I highly recommend her and we will definitely be leaving Clyde with her anytime we travel if she’s available.

I met Ellen here and inquired with her about watching my sweet girl, Maizy, in her home while we traveled. She responded immediately and we set up a time to meet. She was very easy for both Maizy and I to get along with and her home was clean and practical for her to be pet sitting. We officially booked, and upon dropping Maizy off, we met her husband and their pup, Salty. It was a very pleasant encounter. While away, Ellen kept in touch with updates and photos. After traveling, she and her husband confirmed that Maizy is sweet, well behaved, and was a joy to have around. I will be booking with Ellen again, and would absolutely recommend her as a sitter for your pup too. Thank you, Ellen!

I contacted Angela to watch our Suzy at the last minute and she answered promptly. Suzy enjoyed her stay so much. She got to spend a lot of time with Angela’s daughter and had such a wonderful time that now she misses her. Suzy got an upset tummy and Angela made her chicken and rice. Suzy was so thankful for that her tummy got better by the next day. Angela gave daily updates of Suzy’s care with photos. Loved that! Angela was an outstanding dog sitter and I’ll definitely use her again.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
