“While we were away for a medical procedure, our 15 year old dog became quite ill, requiring lots of attention and complex caregiving — and house cleaning — as well as comforting. Caitlin managed all parts of this VERY difficult booking, which was much more than she bargained for, with competence and grace , and kept her safe and comfortable while we scheduled the Vet and raced home. We were so relieved to have such close and competent attention for our little girl, and grateful for Caitlin‘s grace and confidence at a precarious time. We can’t say enough good about Caitlin and we can’t thank herenough.”

“Jess dog/house sat for me last week and she was absolutely amazing! I think my dogs want to live with Jess (and Matt) now, to be honest. :) She was highly communicative, sent a ton of pictures, and kept my pups totally entertained. Couldn't recommend Jess more highly for house/dog sitting and dog walking!”

“David was the perfect local sitter for a weekend getaway! We shared photo updates and spent plenty of time playing with our pup.”

“Karen communicated wonderfully, followed our requests and send photos of the babies. We were super pleased with her and will be having her back again soon next time we are away!”

“This was our second time booking with Bridget and she took such great care of our dog Eldrick! She went above and beyond to give him plenty of play time and exercise, and kept us updated with many photos. Thanks again Bridget!”

“It was the first time when our dog and cat stayed without us for a few days. Stephanie found a connection with both of them from the first time and took great care of them. I felt safe and calm leaving my pets with Stephanie and have booked her for my long vacation!”

“Taigh was a lifesaver - he responded immediately to my last-minute request for help to watch our little dog and stay at our house for the long weekend. He took great care of both the dog and our house, kept us posted as to our dog's goings on, and even had his mom check in on the dog when he was going to be at work for a long stint. We really appreciated the photos and texts with updates, as well as with his stripping the bed and washing the sheets. We would definitely recommend Taigh and plan to use him again for future pet/house sitting needs.”

“Such a caring, kind and conscientious person. I cannot recommend Panny enough. We went on a three week trip to Africa and came home to a calm dog and a spotless home. I have been hiring dog-sitters for 30 years and Panny made them all pale by comparison.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life, from Shih-Tzus to Golden Retrievers and I’ve never met one I didn’t love! I miss my own furry friend so I want to take great care of yours. I recently boarded my Mom’s dog for three months while she was unable to care for him, and we both had a blast. Now that he has gone home I’m ready to open up my house to new dogs to care for. I am a student and I live about a 15 minute walk from campus. I typically go to class from 9:30-12:30 in the mornings and then I am home for the rest of the day to care for your puppy. I’m home boarding is preferable; however, on weekends I can be flexible to your needs. We will walk on campus, take trips to the dog park, and go for hikes depending on your animal’s activity and socializing needs. I am available weekdays and weekends.

“Iben and Trevor were great! Our two pups loved all the cuddles, hikes and playtime. Happy to host them in our home while we were on vacation (helped our dogs feel much less anxious staying in their own beds in our home); they sent us lots of photos and videos and helped us feel comfortable being away from our pups.”

“Would highly recommend anyone to use Paige for dog sitting. Our dogs Herman and Ariel took a liking to Paige instantly. Paige was very attentive and playful with the dogs. I would use Paige again when we come back to the Cape next year!!!”

“Caroline was great, extremely professional. She took great care of our dog Buddy while we were away. Furthermore, she took great care of our apartment and plants as well. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I am a very active 49 year old mom with adult children and two small dogs. I grew up with animals my whole life, and my family even owned a chain of pet stores when I was growing up, where I worked. My family is packed with doctors and vets. I move to the Cape full time and am available to walk dogs, house sit, and board small to medium sized animals in my home in Orleans. We have a fenced in backyard and lots of space to run on the beach. I work remotely, part-time as an attorney and set my own schedule. My true love is animals! My flexibility gives me plenty of time to care for pets, in your home, in mine, or just for a walk. I take my dogs for a daily run to on the beach and am happy to take along another. I can also care for your dog alone in your home (and leave mine home with my amazing family). Finally, I am available for walking your pup, most days in your neighborhood or mine. We have an acre of land and half is fenced in for dogs. We have extra cages if desired. Ours never enjoyed their crates. We will follow your schedule and treat your pet like a member of the family. We invite interviews in advance to ensure we are the right fit for your pet.

“Rachael is an outstanding dog sitter. We had Rachael watch our dog Otis for an overnight stay at home. Plans had to change on our end and Rachael was so accommodating. By her staying and taking such great care of Otis and our home we were able to focus on what we had to that weekend. The pictures and update sent were wonderful ! I highly recommend Rachael for any needs that you have and Otis will be seeing her again !”

About: I’ve taken care of my own goldens for as long as I can remember teaching me the ins and out. I also got to watch some of my neighbors dogs, taking them out to run around while they were at work and just keeping them from being lonely. Dogs are amazing family members and I can’t wait to meet yours! I am part time employed, but easily will fit in your pets needs. Some days I work earlier in the day or sometimes late at night, creating endless opportunities to hangout with your pup! I can easily accommodate to any requests you have as owner, if you need dog to be crated, etc. I also have a golden retriever if you wanted to meet.

“Zachary was an amazing dog sitter! It is clear that he is a dog lover-- he truly went above and beyond. He took my dog on adventures to the park and the beach and sent me lots of cute pictures. He had a tracker so I could see her activities and even embroidered her bandana with her name! She came home very tired and happy. I would highly recommend Zachary, and Gizmo is looking forward to the next time she stays with him.”

About: I grew up with dogs since I have memory. I've pet sit for my family. When I moved to Cape Cod I started helping out my coworkers with their pets taking them for walks and staying over to take care of them when they had to be away . I can be flexible when is about taking them for an hour walk, but preferably I will take bookings after 5pm I am free from my official job. Unfurnately I can't have pets in my home (landlord's rules), but i will happily take care of them in their home and follow care instructions of the owner.

About: I am living in Concord while I apply to law schools. My family has had dogs my whole life. I have always been an animal person. I grew up around horses and have always had 2 large dogs. I have never met a dog I didn’t get along with. I am available pretty much all the time. I do not work currently, so I can focus on my studying and applications! I am available for dog walks or visits, or dog sitting! My family has two standard poodles. One is 7 and the other is 14. My parents are getting older, so I walk them daily. I will follow all instructions for any dog I am walking. One of my dogs is extremely old, so I have a lot of experience with elderly dogs.

14. Lara S.
“If you're like me trusting someone to watch over your fur babies when you have to be out of town is one of the biggest challenges to having pets. In the past it has meant that I've been quick to cancel plans and have missed out on a number of special days and events of family and friends. But recently things have changed for me when it comes to my ability to travel because I now have someone I trust to watch my cats when I'll be away. Lara has been a life saver in this regard and it gives me such a sense of security to know they are under her care and that I don't have to always say sorry I can't go. You also never know when something could come up health wise with a family member and having that peace of mind that my cats are extremely well cared for is something that's hard to put into words. Lara sends me photos of the cats and keeps me updated as to how they are all doing so I don't worry about them. She absolutely adores animals and provides for them top notch care and attention so they don't feel lonely in my absence. She asks the important questions so nothing is just left up to chance and she is extremely detail oriented in her dedicated approach to pet care. I highly recommend Lara if you are looking for someone to care for your fur babies like I was.”
