“Cody was best dog walker ever! We have used Cody countless times to walk our dog. He was always flexible with our timings and accommodated us when we had last minute changes. In the beginning he spent the time to ensure Bash got comfortable with him before walking him, which was important to us. We love using Cody!”

“Izzy quickly became Lucy’s friend and took her out right on time for a nice afternoon walk! Will absolutely book her for future visits, not only for how great of a job she does but also because Lucy is looking forward to seeing her friend again! Thank you Izzy!”

About: My family owns a dog rescue that I have been helping out/taking internships at for years! I also spent a lot of time working for the cache valley humane society as a volunteer for canines and felines. I grew up with many different animals in the household and my passion for animals is what makes me a great caretaker! I work part time so I have lots of time to care for your pups! I always have long lunch breaks which gives allowance for extra walks/outings. I love to hike so if that is something you think your dog would like send them over to me! I have an unfenced yard and two sweet female roommates to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed and there is lots of space upstairs and downstairs for them to wander. When entering another home, I will be safe and respectful of all household wishes and concerns
About: I’ve always had animals growing up and throughout my adult life, and have been relied upon by many family members and friends to watch their animals when they are away. I love animals and always treat other’s animals the same way I treat my own dog. I am currently working from home and have plenty of time in the mornings and afternoons to take care of your pet in whatever way you need. I am happy to take care of your pet in whichever way you prefer, whether that includes playing in your house or backyard, going on walks, or just taking some time to snuggle so they aren’t lonely.
“So thankful that Avery was our Rover, we are traveling food vendors and we have odd hours and long hours and Avery was able to accommodate walking our dog twice a day plus feeding him for three days in a row. She’s very communicative, and very punctual, and even though she wasn’t feeling well on Saturday, she still came and walked our dog. I hope we can use her again next year as we plan on attending the summer fest festival in Logan again.”

About: I started volunteering at my local animal shelter as a teenager where I helped get a dog named Boo adopted. I have found such value and fulfillment in providing the best possible care to pets and animals in need within my community. Some of the animal care fields I have worked in are: Dog and cat boarding / daycare Doggy daycare hikes Positive reinforcement-based dog training and puppy training/socialization Veterinary assisting In-home pet sitting including dogs/cats with medical need, and reptile/bird care. I believe that our pets bring such happiness and quality to our lives and that they deserve just as much happiness. I take pride in providing care to others' pets like they're my own. We are their whole life, so we might as well do everything we can to ensure they are well taken care of. -Shayla, animal welfare advocate and wildlife ecology student With love from Malibu the Catahoula Leopard Dog I am a student at USU, so I have time outside of classes and taking my boy Malibu out on adventures to care for your fur babies on weekday mornings, lunch, and afternoon breaks. I provide attention to your pet based off their individual needs and temperament and have years of experience monitoring body language. I have been certified in pet CPR and use a harness when needed to ensure safety on walks. I also provide picture updates.
About: I’ve had an abundant experience caring for dogs, tortoises, fish, etc. since I was 13 years old. It became my responsibility early on to care for and train my dogs in their puppy years and on. I also spend time walking my neighbors dogs anytime I can help them, the dogs ranging in both size and age. I’m a recent UCLA graduate who’s living out in Logan, UT for the next couple of months. I absolutely adore animals and love looking after them in any manner. I live a very active lifestyle so walking is almost a daily occurrence for me! I currently have two dogs, tortoises, and fish at home in California. I’m very accustomed to a lifestyle caring for animals. I do my best to stay organized on feedings, as well as maintain abundant exercise for the dogs.
“Julie is always terrific! She's flexible and responsive with scheduling, and she loves my dogs and she's so good with them! They love her, they get all excited when they see it's her at the door and they come back tired and happy!”

About: “Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Everyone who knows me knows how much I love them and how well I care for my own. I treat every pet like they’re part of my family — with patience, kindness, and genuine attention to what makes them feel safe and happy.” “Pet care fits easily into my day because it’s something I’m already doing! I start and end my day with animals — walks, feeding, playtime, and quiet time. I enjoy being around pets and giving them attention throughout the day, so adding a few more paws just makes it better.”I'm currently unemployed and so I have a lot of free time to spend with the thing I love most. I have a fence yard. When I feed my dogs their food I put extra additives to help promote their health and so they are not eating the same old thing everyday. I'm always giving fresh water to them. I just try to think if I was an animal what would I like. I want their short life to be good.

About: I have dog sat for numerous friends and family. I worked in a boarding and daycare facility back home where I loved to care and socialize with the dogs! I also interned with a vet where I took care of dogs medically. Currently, I am a pre-veterinary science student at Utah State, so my schedule will vary from semester to semester and week to week. At this time, I am available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons/evenings for walks or drop-ins, as well as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for drop-ins or sitting. I am able to handle almost all temperaments of cats and dogs. Working at the boarding/daycare facility gave me insight into handling dogs that are shy or timid, become aggressive around other animals, and more.
About: My earliest memories are of playing with dogs. As an adult I love my kitties and will care for any furry, scaley or feathered friends. Every day I care for my dog and 4 cats. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
