“Katie is amazing! She had a wonderful first day with our pup Jack. She is very warm and professional, and an obvious dog-lover! Jack felt right at home and he loved spending the day with her and sweet Sumi. Katie was very responsive and she sent pics and updates throughout the day. She took Jack out for walks and treated him like he was her own fur-baby. We will definitely be using Katie again for watching Jack. We all loved her!”

“Truly excellent for our high energy dogs who love people and other dogs. They got lots of activity, lots of attention and most of all plenty of love while we were away. Highly recommend!!”

“Kara was outstanding and accepted my last minute request for day care. My pup seemed to really enjoy her time there! She must have been playing all day because she was completely wiped when we got home, that’s how I know she had a good time though!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with personal experience caring for both dogs and cats. My dog, Malibu, was part of my family for 16 years. She lived with my parents for the first nine years of her life, and I cared for her personally during her final seven years. She even became a world traveler with her own pet passport. Caring for Malibu through her senior years taught me patience, consistency, and how important it is to adjust care as a pet’s needs change. For the past two years, I have also helped care for a cat named Sami. That experience has taught me how to build trust with cats, respect their boundaries, and pay close attention to their routines and behavior. I’m dependable, organized, patient, and respectful of other people’s homes. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, litter-box instructions, and any special requests. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident that their pets are safe, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention while they are away. I work remotely Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., which allows me to be home with your pet throughout the day. I can provide regular potty breaks, walks, meals, playtime, companionship, and supervision while still maintaining their normal routine. Because I’m home during the workday, your pet will not be left alone for long periods. I’m also available for overnight care, evenings, and weekends, depending on my schedule. I live in a quiet neighborhood with several safe and enjoyable walking routes nearby. My two-bedroom apartment provides a calm, comfortable environment, and I have a fenced back patio that is perfect for supervised sunbathing, fresh air, and naps. My home also has air conditioning to keep pets comfortable during warmer weather, and there are multiple parks less than five minutes away for walks and outdoor time. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medication directions, household rules, and any special care needs. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or theirs, I prioritize safety, consistency, cleanliness, and regular communication. I also provide updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident that their pet is comfortable and well cared for.

“Miki was AMAZING with my adult dog Moose. She was welcoming and friendly and communicated extremely well. She sent us updates throughout the day and was very responsive. She walked my dog and took care of him like he was her own pet! She made him comfortable and he isn’t easy to trust right away but with Miki and her family Moose seemed to feel right at home. We booked her for day care 2 days, back to back, and Moose seemed excited to go back! I hope she’s available next time we need a sitter because she will be the first person that comes to mind. Thank you Miki! We appreciate you so much 😄”

About: I have had a dog ever since I can remember. I currently have two puppies which is just as challenging as it is rewarding. I am always up for spending time with these precious animals. Throughout my life I have taken on the responsibility of caring for not only my own dogs but friend's and neighbor's dogs as well. I am a college student currently home for winter break so I have lots of time to play and walk your pups! I love spending my free time being active and I have always been a dog lover! I know how much your pet means to you because of how much mine mean to me so safety will always be the number one priority. I have two very friendly puppies and my yard is fenced in. I have a crate, leashes, doggy gates inside my home, and lots of toys!
About: I am a life long dog lover and have had many dogs over the years (work travel prevents me from ownership right now). Over the years my household (me, adult son, grand daughter (6)) have adopted or fostered a wide variety of dogs from a puppy to be trained and moved on to forever home to senior dogs who ultimately ended up with their forever home right here. I am excellent at giving medication (was a LPN for humans), long walks that I enjoy as much as the dog, and am open to any dog related service your dog may need. I will always treat your dog like the wonderful individual they are. I am open to any size dog and ANY breed (I have great relationships with pit bulls, Chihuahua's, and other high difficulty breads) We will discuss your system of punishment and reward so that we are on the same page. Feel free to contact me with any questions I am a work from home writer, artist, photographer, and journalist, so I have lots of open time. I do travel for work in the summer months which does leave some days completely unavailable, but otherwise ready to walk from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. There is no other way to say it, I love dogs and will treat your dog with more respect than most humans receive. The walks will be well planned and any care will be exactly what you requested.
“Natalie did a great job with our two little dogs. Her little girl seemed so excited to have them as quests. I was worry our one dog that gets separation anxiety would be a wreck when we got back, but to our surprise she seemed happy and fine. Our other dog who is very friendly was all smiles when he came back. She will do a great job with your pups.”

About: I've loved animals my entire life. As a kid, I grew up with a home full of cats, who I always say raised me. As an adult, I have had two dogs of my own; my current pup is 12 years young. I also volunteer at the animal shelter when I have time. I care for every pet as if they are my own. I work part time as a massage therapist, usually in the evenings. My days are free to walk and play with your fur babies. I generally work in 4 hour time slots, and my office is only 10 minutes from home, so I am never too far! I have a fenced yard, and my small (25 lb) older dog will be home to keep your pet company. Pets are allowed on couches, and may be cuddled in bed (with approval from the owner). I am happy to crate your pet if you provide the crate. I live near a large park, so your dog is never far from a beautiful walk! I prefer to go on walks that are 45 min - 1 hour long, but am happy to shorten this time frame as necessary.

About: I like to walk the dogs daily around the Atascadero Lake. I have a decent size fenced backyard with room to run and use my poop scooper daily. I am retired and looking for things to do during the week (mon-Fri) to fill my days. I have always loved the company of dogs and love to take them on daily walks. I have a dog bed in my bedroom, where your dog would sleep at night. The dogs water bowl is always kept clean and fresh. The dogs would always be welcome to hang out in the house with me, too.
“We had an amazing experience with Sheridan! She was incredibly caring and sweet with our pet, making sure all their needs were met throughout the day. What really stood out were the picture updates she sent, which put our minds at ease and let us see how happy and well-taken care of our pet was. We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and loving care for their furry friends!”

“Absolutely fantastic! Matthew took fabulous care of our pup! We were visiting from out of town and planned a day at the water park that wasn't pet friendly. He accepted right away, asked all the right questions. Just an all around kind person who's great with dogs! 10000% recommend.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 194 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Pozo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pozo commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
