You can expect photo and video updates daily (frequency based on your preference) so you can see how your pup is doing. Dog Walking: I'll pick up your dog and take them on a walk tailored to their energy and needs — neighborhood walks, hiking trails, or a fenced park for off-leash time if that's the right fit. Drop-In Visits: I'll stop by your home to visit with your pet(s), play with them, let dogs out to the bathroom, give them food and water and spend quality time with them. I can also care for other pets in the home, such as reptiles, fish, or plant, depending on what's required, an additional pet charge may apply. I have a fenced yard for potty breaks or sniffing the fresh air or enjoying the sunshine and a larger, unfenced area that I can take your pup(s) on short, leashed jaunts to sniff around. I can crate your dog, if ever needed.

About: Hi! I’m a graduate student in Animal Behavior & Welfare working on my thesis in wildlife detection dogs from home. I’ve worked with dogs & cats for 10 years and have trained dogs for 8, including service dogs through a professional nonprofit organization. I have raised countless puppies in this time, so I can certainly help properly socialize your puppy so they can grow up to be the best version of themself. I also compete in dog sports for fun with my dogs, two working line German shepherds and one husky mix. So I’m well equipped to care for dogs that are… “a lot!” I’m on my way to becoming an Applied Animal Behaviorist and have finished all my coursework in behavior with a 4.0 GPA, so when your pets come with me, they’ll benefit from my extensive knowledge on understanding behavior and maximizing welfare. My prices might be a little higher than others, but I promise it will be worth it for the level of care & expertise I provide! I’m home full time as I finish my thesis remotely. The animals I care for come first, whether it be early morning potty breaks or afternoon activities. My schedule is flexible and I have ample time to give your pets the attention they need, while also giving them quiet time to rest in a private space. When pets stay with me, they have their own spare bedroom to sleep in. They can have a crate in there, or stay loose in the room and sleep on the bed. We have a small yard, so I opt to take dogs out 4 times a day to potty in a small park right outside my front door. We can play here too! A lot of dogs like to sunbathe in our yard, including my own. I have three dogs who all have different preferences in their dog friends, so it’s likely your dog will find a best friend here. Or, if your dog prefers not to be around other dogs, that’s no problem either. They can hang out with just me! I always use long lines and either harnesses or safely fitted collars to walk dogs, so they can have maximum freedom to express themselves while also staying safe and comfortable.

I am a life long dog lover and have had many dogs over the years (work travel prevents me from ownership right now). I am excellent at giving medication (was a LPN for humans), long walks that I enjoy as much as the dog, and am open to any dog related service your dog may need. I am open to any size dog and ANY breed (I have great relationships with pit bulls, Chihuahua's, and other high difficulty breads) All dogs must have flee control and be up on vaccinations (and licensed). I was reading the Rover information for customers and it said you should ask about how much cuddle time, playtime, and walks cost. Your pet will get all the cuddles, walks, and playtime they can stand for free. I do this because everybody in my house loves dogs and want to make new furry friends. Feel free to contact me with any questions I am a work from home writer, artist, photographer, and journalist, so I have lots of open time. I do travel for work in the summer months which does leave some days completely unavailable, but otherwise ready to walk from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. There is no other way to say it, I love dogs and will treat your dog with more respect than most humans receive. The walks will be well planned and any care will be exactly what you requested.
“All I can say is WOW! This was my first time using Rover and it was absolutely incredible. I expect this was a rare Rover experience - because we seriously could not have asked for more. My girlfriend and I were in town for a weekend getaway and wanted to check out some non dog-friendly wineries during the afternoon/evening on a Saturday. I can't imagine another scenario where he would have got to interact and play with such a diverse array of animals. Amanda clearly knows how to handle animals as well. She briefed us on her background training and handling all sorts of different animals and then backed it up with hourly videos showing us a new trick she had taught Myth - or a fun picture/video of Myth playing with one of her other animals (shoutout to her new dog Anakin who is an absolute good boy and new best friend of Myth's). She even asked us if it was okay to take Myth to the dog park. Her communication during Myth's stay helped us relax while out and about. She is clearly an animal lover to the core. If I'm being honest I'm pretty sure Myth would have been happy to stay on Amanda's ranch forever. 10/10 experience ... and her rate is super reasonable for the amazing experience your dog is going to get under her care. About: To stay busy as a child, I walked and house sat practically the entire neighborhood’s beloved pet. We also take walks to the pool where there’s a rock jacuzzi and lots of grass around the pool. Dogs are welcome to be there with me on their leash and they all seem to really enjoy it . Your dogs safety is my priority.

About: I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals since I was 10, from dog sitting and overnight stays to taking care of horses. I’ve also helped raise and puppy train through Freedom Service Dogs. I’m comfortable with animals of all kinds and genuinely love getting to know each one! I am currently in school at cal poly so every day my schedule varies with a maximum of 4 hours of class a day, but I will be able to be home throughout the day and able to spend the majority of every day with your pet.
