About: I’ve been taking care of neighborhood dogs and dogs that my parents friends have had since I was in elementary school, and I have an 11 year old miniature poodle mix that I trained myself but I’ve always loved dogs of all breeds. I have experience working with tiny and huge dogs, anxious dogs, reactive dogs, high energy dogs, special needs dogs, untrained dogs, heavy pullers, and puppies of various ages. I’m also quite strong and can handle big/rambunctious/reactive dogs with ease, so you wouldn’t have to worry about whether or not I can safely handle your dog. I’m currently back from college for the summer and don’t have a lot going on (aside from taking care of my own dog) so I’m home and available all day most days (aside from when I occasionally go stay with my long term girlfriend for a weekend or so). I decided to start working with Rover because I love animals and I’m happier when I have such a fun reason to get some exercise and leave my house :) I have a large grassy (and freshly fenced) in backyard to play in and make sure to routinely check the integrity of the fence and that there aren’t any potential hazards in my backyard. My dog is quite the lounge-around-inside-where-it’s-cool type, so if you would want your dog to have some off leash time in my backyard, even reactive and dog aggressive dogs wouldn’t have issues because they wouldn’t be anywhere near my dog. I also make sure to follow house rules and instructions to the letter (and am strictly no shoes in any house ever) and keep my clients updated on how things are going with photos, videos, as well as update messages. All potential clients are encouraged to meet up with me before entrusting their pets to me, and if you have any interest in your dog having some off leash time with me in my backyard I would be more than happy to give you a tour. Not only those things- but any other requests you may have that can help give you peace of mind when it comes to entrusting me with your fluffy loved ones are encouraged.

About: I saved my Chihuahua, Thistle, from a kill shelter when he was 18 months old. I nursed him through being hit by a car, helped him gain weight from being underfed, and encouraged him to be a confident dog (he was extremely anxious) through training and gentle love and care. From this, I learned how to administer medications to animals, so I can provide this kind of care to your fur babies also. My Chihuahua is now a senior dog, but you wouldn’t be able to tell with how active he is! He gets lots of walks and play time, and he loves it best when I get on the floor with him. I am comfortable getting to know your pet and giving them the level and type of attention that they need! I looked into breed specific care, and Chihuahuas have weaker joints, so I put him on a joint supplement right when I got him, and it has really made a difference in his mobility and quality of life. It’s important to administer care to animals in the specific way that is best for them! I would show the same consideration to your pet. That includes factoring in their temperament. As my dog has gotten older, his needs around personal boundaries have increased, so I make sure to check in with him before petting him, picking him up, or otherwise touching him, and I do not touch him if he gives me a no, except in an actual emergency (i.e. the animal could be hurt or hurt someone else if I do not touch them). Instead, I do something else and check in again later. This allows me to establish a real felt sense of safety and trust with your pet. I also had cats all growing up, and have a real affection for them, as well as a clear understanding of their boundaries. I would be honored to care for your pet family just as I care for mine! I currently freelance, which means I have the freedom to take care of your pets whenever you need me to. I can be flexible to your needs. About: With me, your pup is never competing for attention. I provide exclusive, one-on-one care so they feel safe and at home. I’ve cared for dogs for over 12 years, including Italian Greyhounds, Dachshunds, Whippets, Chihuahuas, Poodles, Border Collies, and Terriers. My lifestyle is quiet and calm, which makes me especially attuned to sensitive, low-energy, and senior dogs who need a little extra understanding. My own dog, Clark, a whimsical and willful 12-year-old Poodle, recently passed from mitral valve disease which progressed to congestive heart failure. While this is sadly common in Poodles and other small breeds, it’s never enough time to say goodbye. I’m comfortable with medication management, light grooming (teeth brushing if tolerated, baths, and nail trims), and I keep essentials like pee pads, a litter box, and a playpen for dogs who are dual-trained or prefer enclosed rest. I may run errands but takes no more than 3-4 hours. If your pet is under 15lbs, I can Carry them in my backpack pet carrier and they can come with me. My apartment building is very secure. A fob is required on entry. The building is quiet and I like to keep a short leash upon entering and leaving.

About: Dogs adore me. Lost dogs always find my house. When I go to the park, dogs want me to give them attention and I enjoy them….sometimes more than people! I work Part-time so it fits perfectly. I won’t dog sit on days that I work so my full attention can be given to the dogs Typically, we go outside for a potty break and then breakfast. Followed by another trip outside. Around 10:00 we go to the park and when we return, they get a dental bone, as a treat and take a nap. Sometime after their nap, they let me know it’s dinner time. Then back outside.
