“Samantha has taken care of our dogs multiple times now. It’s so refreshing knowing that our pups and house are in great hands while we are gone for a few days. They treat our pups as if they were their own. We love receiving videos and pictures of our pups from Samantha while we are away. They always look so happy. Which is a huge relief! I definitely recommend using Samantha to watch your pets!”
“Kristina is amazing! We know Katie is well taken care of while we are away! Kristina goes above and beyond to ensure that our sweet dog is happy! I would recommend Kristina to anyone!”

“As a fellow pet parent, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to trust someone else with your furry family member. That’s why I can’t recommend Jessica enough. One of the things that stands out to me about Jessica is her genuine love for animals. She doesn’t just “watch” pets—she takes the time to understand their personalities, routines, and what makes them feel comfortable and safe. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, shy, or somewhere in between, they’ll be treated with patience, kindness, and so much love. One thing I think every pet parent looks for is someone they can trust, and Jessica is exactly that person. She’s dependable, responsible, communicative, and truly treats every pet as if they were her own. Knowing your pet is with someone who genuinely cares brings a level of peace of mind that’s hard to put a price on. If you’re looking for someone who will provide updates, pay attention to the little details, and make your pet feel loved while you’re away, I wholeheartedly recommend Jessica. Your fur baby will be in amazing hands.”
“Elizabeth is kind, attentive, and all around a pleasure to book with! She is great at providing individualized care for our two kitties with very different personalities: she is kind and gentle with our shy kitty and makes him feel safe. She also plays with her more rambunctious kitty and helps get her wiggles out. Excited to continue booking with her. 🫶”

“Sheryl is absolutely incredible!! If I could give 25 stars I would!! She came every day like clockwork. She not only gave the babies what they needed as far as food and water, but gave them all the love and cuddles, as well as kept us abreast of any Situation that may or may not have needed attention. That kind of care and commitment isn’t always the norm and it is so appreciated! Thank you so much for alleviating any stress we had at home and allowing us to have an amazing wedding at a beautiful destination. Knowing our babies were well taken care of and loved was priceless. Definitely will book again.”

“Vanessa is always ready to do all things you ask, while taking care of your fur baby. Pictures and report of everything that happened while you were gone. My Figgy loves her, she is the best. Trust worthy, dependable and prompt. She is very caring, Thanks Vanessa you do not disappoint.”

About: It was obvious from the time I was a little girl that I had a special connection with animals. I used to visit my grandmother as a child and pretend I was a dog trainer. We always had pets growing up. In 2006 after spending years in retail management I saw a sign on a car advertising pet sitting services. I knew that was my calling and soon started my own business. I have many clients and references. Pets are family and should be treated as such. I offer a home environment and lots of TLC.
About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was 12 and have been pet and house sitting for the last 10 years. I love taking energetic pups on long walks or playing fetch in a secure yard, and I’m equally comfortable creating cozy spaces for senior dogs. I have two dogs of my own (one large, one medium), and I’m experienced with administering medications—even to picky ones who need a creative touch. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters off and on since 2020 and have worked with reactive and anxious dogs who may require extra time to warm up to strangers. I love spending time with both dogs and cats, and making them feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m a full‑time freelancer with a very flexible schedule. I’m available every day between 8 AM and 11 PM, and I can easily adjust my day to meet your pet’s needs—whether that’s a morning walk, a midday check‑in, or an evening visit. My open schedule also allows me to accommodate last‑minute bookings, so you can count on me even when plans change unexpectedly. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick to the routines your cats and dogs already know so they feel secure and comfortable. I follow your feeding, walking, play, and litter box instructions, keep their spaces clean, and make sure your home stays tidy and secure. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality—whether that’s a shy cat, an energetic dog, or anything in between—and I work to make every visit calm, safe, and stress‑free.

“Miriah did a great job looking after our cats while we were away on vacation, cleaning the litter box with the pine pellet system we use, cleaning the water fountain and changing the filters. Our cats are scared of people and hide, but she tried to find them and take pictures for us every time she went, and gave us updates. Thanks Miriah!”

About: I'm a dedicated stay-at-home dog mom who loves caring for pups of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet senior dogs. I am trained in pet first aid and CPR so your furry family member will always be in safe hands. Whether it's belly rubs, walks or cuddle time, I treat every dog like I would my own. I am currently a stay at home dog mom so my schedule is pretty flexible. A natural part of my daily routine revolves around feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime and lots of cuddles. I will care for pets in my home as if they were my own! They will enjoy a safe environment with regular potty breaks, walks and play time.
“Samara is amazing, and you won't regret booking her. She sent me tons of videos and pictures which made me feel like I wasn't so far away and missing my cat. When I got home, he was happy and well fed. Thanks again for making my long trip less stressful and keeping my little dude taken care of.”

About: My name is Kristin. My husband and two children and myself relocated to Lakeland Florida from Connecticut recently. Prior to the move I worked as a veterinary Technician for 20 years in a privately owned animal hospital, at veterinary specialists of CT and at NCSU College of veterinary Medicine as a dermatology technician teaching veterinary students and seeing daily appts. In my off time I would pet sit as well. I have 2 golden retrievers myself as well as a rescue lab/hound mix and 2 cats. Since I believe that all pets need the time and care to make them comfortable all my visits are Atleast 20-25minutes long. Longer visits can be discussed. I feel a quick potty break and a in and out are not sufficient for what our furry family members need. I am fully stay at home after our move from Connecticut to Florida. Other then leaving the house for drop in visits at other pet owners home I am generally home I have 3 dogs of my own and a fully fenced yard. Dogs are always supervised and everyone is separated to eat and for sleeping. I also gave 2 children ages 9 and 13 who love pets
About: I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and know they’re part of the family. I have a 5 year old French Bulldog named Bruno, so I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I’ll treat your pet like one of my own, with lots of love, attention, and care, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. Whether it’s walks, playtime, potty breaks, or cuddles, your pet will never feel like they’re being left alone for long. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. While I do not have a fenced yard, I have access to a community dog park, which is available as an option with your approval for dogs who enjoy socializing and playing. I also have a friendly 5 year old French Bulldog. I will follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions to help them feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.

This was our first time using Rover. April was awesome to work with. Our dogs aren’t super socialized, but April did a great job making them feel at ease. We are only in area for a short trip and will head back home soon. I would definitely recommend people to book April if they are in this area.

- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
