“Bonnie looked after my cat while I was in vacation. She did an incredible job and my cat really enjoyed her company. Bonnie is easy to communicate with and the fact that she has cats of her own made me feel comfortable that she knew how to approach and care for my cat. She updated me throughout the stay on how my kitty was doing which reassured me I had the best sitter possible. Highly recommend!!”

“Outstanding, high-quality care for our three furry babies, as always! Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of them, Sheryl. We truly appreciate everything you do!”

About: I have years of personal experience caring for my own fur babies, as well as experience working in an emergency vet. I am comfortable handling pets who need a little extra TLC due to their health or personality, and nothing makes me happier than giving owners the assurance that their fur family is in good hands💜 I currently have two cats, Dobby and Chai, and I have experience with all ages of pets :) I can care for exotic pets as well (I personally have several invertebrates as well as a blue tongue skink and an African house snake!) I do work full time, so I am not currently able to provide 24/7 services. I currently work overnight (usually Monday and Thursday) but also work Saturday during the day almost every week as well. Please reach out to me with any questions regarding my schedule and how I can best accommodate your babies! I will follow any and all instructions left for me to the letter, as I would want someone to do the same for my pets.
“Shannon is not only a pet sitter. She gets to know you and your pets before even starting!! She became a friend and made me feel so comfortable while I was away!! Thanks Shannon :)”

“I recently had the pleasure of having Ashley drop in to watch my dogs, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that she genuinely loves animals and knows how to handle them with care and expertise. My dogs took to her immediately, which is a great sign since they can be a bit picky with new people. Ashley was attentive to their needs, making sure they were fed, walked, and given plenty of playtime and affection. She also kept me updated with photos and messages, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. Ashley’s professionalism and warm personality made the whole experience seamless and stress-free. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. She truly went above and beyond, and I will definitely be booking her services again in the future.”

About: I have been a veterinary technician for 3+ years and counting. We have had pets in our home since I can remember. I have grown up with the love and loyalty that our pets provide and is something that I cherish. I started pet sitting for coworkers and clients for about 2 years now. I love helping fellow pet owners with caring for their pets in a time of need. My favorite thing is gaining trust from pet owners and ensuring that owners have peace of mind when it comes to being away from their pets. Having the medical background that I do also helps to ensure that your senior babies are being taken care of properly. Pets are family. I am currently a full time veterinary technician and work all days (8am-6pm) except Tuesdays, every other Saturdays (only from 8am- 12pm), and Sundays. With my full time schedule, I make sure that a pets needs come first. I will only pet sit for pets that I can guarantee my utmost care. I house sit a lot as well so this is helpful with my full time job. I tend to pet sit close to my job so if I have to leave in the middle of the day to take a dog out, I definitely can. I make sure to follow all written or printed instructions to a T. I also make sure to stay in close contact with owners (not too close to ruin your vacation) to ensure that they are still at peace of mind throughout their time away. I also love to send photos of their pets while they’re gone so they’re not missing out on too much :)
About: I would love the opportunity to meet with you and your fur babies to see if we would be a good fit.I love dogs and cats so much,my life would not be complete without them. I have been in a position that I had to leave my babies at home all day by their self and felt so guilty. So I understand how comforting it is to know,someone can come in and take care of them, and give them the love that they deserve when you cannot. I am very knowledgeable about dogs and their specific needs based on what their particular breed requires. I would provide the best care possible based on their needs and your wants. I have not met a dog that that I didn't love! I love cats too!I have had several dogs over the years that I successfully trained to be well behaved and have been able to correct unwanted behaviors. Many have been rescues.I have helped friends and family anytime they have needed me to over the years. Anything I can do to make your life easier is what I want to do for you.😊 I am retired and would love to take of you best friends at your home. I have to dogs and a cat as well as twin grand babies at my home so I think it's best I sit for you in your home. I can feed, walk and play with your baby or babies. I can bath them and brush them.I will keep them safe at all times.I am good at doing basic training and teaching dogs tricks,(that is most dogs)😊 I will find out about what they like and what they don't like. Their needs depending on their breed, age and health.Depending on your circumstances we will discuss your wishes and I will adhere to them as well as always keep an eye on them, keep them on a leash when outside. Make sure they have everything they need and lots of loving on them if they like to be loved on. I will play with them and make sure to let them outside as often as they need.
About: I love taking out pets out to the park to have fun and play, and as long as the owner permits it, I’ll bring my own dog along so they can play together. Additionally, I make sure the dog does their needs at least 3 times a day. One time in the morning after they eat breakfast, one in the middle of the day after they eat lunch, and one time in the night before they go to sleep. I work full time and I have 2 days off. On Saturdays and Sundays, I am available all day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. I am sometimes available on Fridays, so you’d have to advise me 3 days before to see if I can accept your booking. I leave them unleashed in the home and I don’t put them in cages because I believe they should roam free in the house. I play with them for a long time and at night I do it so they can get tired and sleep soundly. I wash their bowls after they eat and make sure their water is clean. I don’t cook for them for safety reasons, so you would have to bring their own food.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was little, I even started washing dogs for my neighbors when I was 13. I have been around dogs since I was little and just got a cat. I love animals and meeting new types of dogs and cats! I work part time during the day but I have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends. I have very good time management and I am able to work around my schedule. I take in to account what the environment is when I care for pets such as if there is fenced yard or near a busy road.
About: I've had dogs all my life and currently I have a beautiful little dog who is my life. I like to take good care of them, give them healthy food and take them for walks. My experience with other dogs is beautiful. I have a job from 2 pm onwards, Monday through Friday. I could take care of and walk your dog every morning and have them sleep on the weekends. I would love to board with you and take them for walks in all the parks and areas. I have a fence in my yard and a beautiful little dog for company and a new family with your pet. I make healthy dog food and snacks and they will have special care.
“Kennedy has a lovely, professional attitude that makes one feel relieved that your fur baby will be left in good hands. What really impressed me was that my cat, who doesn't fancy many people, was not afraid and warmed up quite nicely to Kennedy. I received daily pics and updates, which made my day. I plan to request her services should I need them in the future.”

“Tony loves dogs! But what is more important is that dogs love Tony! My dog immediately took to him and that means the world to me. He was caring and knowledgeable. He kept his schedule and was just terrific communicating with me. This was the first time I used something like this and it was very stressful handing over my baby to someone I didn’t know. Tony put me at ease and was a very responsible, timely person. I am so grateful I found him! I will use him again.”

“As a fellow pet parent, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to trust someone else with your furry family member. That’s why I can’t recommend Jessica enough. One of the things that stands out to me about Jessica is her genuine love for animals. She doesn’t just “watch” pets—she takes the time to understand their personalities, routines, and what makes them feel comfortable and safe. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, shy, or somewhere in between, they’ll be treated with patience, kindness, and so much love. One thing I think every pet parent looks for is someone they can trust, and Jessica is exactly that person. She’s dependable, responsible, communicative, and truly treats every pet as if they were her own. Knowing your pet is with someone who genuinely cares brings a level of peace of mind that’s hard to put a price on. If you’re looking for someone who will provide updates, pay attention to the little details, and make your pet feel loved while you’re away, I wholeheartedly recommend Jessica. Your fur baby will be in amazing hands.”

“Sarah was a very good choice in having them check-in on our dogs. Being a first time user of the app, I was very nervous, but Sarah made sure to keep us up to date as to what was going on every step of the way. Sarah took our dogs out, fed them, cleaned up after them and even reported that one of the dogs broke something. I highly recommend this sitter!!!!!!”

What a great experience with Rover !! 😍 Aubrey is the Best ! Friendly professional and very accountable ❤️She came to our home for a meet and greet and I immediately knew our “Jack” was in good and loving care in our absence! Communication could not have been better ! Five stars !! Will definitely use her and Rover again !
I would like to say that Christy M. did a great job watching our three Cockatoos and two rabbits. She was able to assist us on short notice as our other pet sitter was unable to watch our pets due to illness. She was great with our pets and was very attentive to their needs. She would message me when she arrived and was always on time and she would message me pictures of our pets as well. She even took out the trash and left our home neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend her and plan to use her in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks.
