About: Hi! I’m Cassidy, and caring for animals is something I truly love. With 5+ years of pet-sitting experience and professional experience at Bear Brook Kennels, I’ve had the opportunity to care for a wide variety of animals and gain hands-on experience with pets of many different breeds, personalities, temperaments, and needs. At Bear Brook Kennels, I cared for dogs, cats, and exotic animals, learning how important it is to understand each pet’s individual routine and personality. I’ve also had experience caring for police K9s while they were boarded, which gave me the opportunity to work around highly trained working dogs and taught me the importance of following specific care instructions, routines, and handling requirements. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets who needed everything from daily walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship to extra patience, attention, medication administration and individualized care. “Tim was great! It was very nice to be able to get away for a few days and not have to worry that Dunkin was well cared for. He sent us pics of Dunkin enjoying a popcorn party. Dunkin loves his popcorn! Tim also let us know if there was anything going on at the house. There was an issue with a drain backing up (not Tim's fault). Tim contacted us and we were able to implement a work-around until we arrived home to fix the problem. Overall, it was a very relaxing mini get away to Orlando.”

I am currently on summer break from teaching so my days are pretty available for the next few weeks. Once school starts my availability will change to the later afternoon. About: I am always the first to be called when a friend needs doggy daycare or house sitting with dogs, cats, and often other animals. I’ve fostered and found homes for rescues internationally and domestically. I’ve worked for a doggy daycare where I was responsible for 50-70 dogs with a crew of 2-4 people. I also spent a few months off and on taking care of 10-22 huskies while part of the herd were sled racing. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and enjoy seeing all of their unique personalities. I’ve loved animals since I was small. We always had cats when I was little, as well as ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, my turtle boy China B, parakeets, and a Senegal parrot foster. I was surprised with a rescue dog when I was 10, Hemingway. It was an amazing experience and I helped train Hemmy to be a service dog for my grandmother who was visually impaired. I’m self employed and have the flexibility to set my daily schedule around your animals needs and regular routine. Lots of scritches, play time and love are part of my commitment to your pets. I am available for short and long walks (depending on your animals needs and ability), playtime, companionship, love and affection, meals and snacks as well as monitoring medication if needed.
