About: Hi! I’m Cassidy, and caring for animals is something I truly love. With 5+ years of pet-sitting experience and professional experience at Bear Brook Kennels, I’ve had the opportunity to care for a wide variety of animals and gain hands-on experience with pets of many different breeds, personalities, temperaments, and needs. At Bear Brook Kennels, I cared for dogs, cats, and exotic animals, learning how important it is to understand each pet’s individual routine and personality. I’ve also had experience caring for police K9s while they were boarded, which gave me the opportunity to work around highly trained working dogs and taught me the importance of following specific care instructions, routines, and handling requirements. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets who needed everything from daily walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship to extra patience, attention, medication administration and individualized care. I’m comfortable working with energetic pups, senior pets, shy or nervous animals, and pets who need a little extra time to feel comfortable with someone new. My goal is simple: to make your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family members with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and affection I’d want for my own. I also have a friendly personal pup who can tag along for visits or stays if you’d like your pet to have a furry friend! If your pet prefers one-on-one attention, I’m just as happy to leave my pup at home. Your pets aren’t just pets — they’re family. And I’d be honored to care for them! 🐶🐱 I’m currently working at a kennel, where I’m gaining even more hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and other animals. My schedule is already fairly flexible, and starting in mid-October, my availability will open up significantly. I’ll have plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, drop-ins, and boarding, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s individual routine and needs! 🐾❤️ I provide a safe, calm, and welcoming environment where pets can feel comfortable and cared for. With 5+ years of pet-sitting experience and professional experience at Bear Brook Kennels, I’m comfortable caring for dogs with a wide range of breeds, personalities, temperaments, and needs. I always take the time to learn each pet’s individual routine and follow their care instructions closely. I’ve also been researching dog behavior and training techniques and plan to shadow local trainers in the area so I can continue learning and better understand the dogs in my care. My priority is always making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, supervised, and loved while they’re with me.
“Another great review for Kirk! He is punctual and so dependable! He and Stanley really enjoy each other! We return to a very content and happy dog and a clean, tidy house. Kirk’s communication is excellent and we love the photos he sends. Absolutely our favorite “go to” pet/house sitter!”

“Jess communicated well before and throughout the stay, sent updates and pictures, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. When our travel plans were delayed, she was flexible and stayed later than planned so Rollo wouldn’t have to be alone too long, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, Rollo was happy and content when we got home.”

“Katherine was amazing! Stayed in our home for a week taking care of our hound dog Monet. She sent updates and photos daily. We came back to a clean house and happy pup. We highly recommend Katherine”

“Erin was amazing! She answered promptly and took me on very last minute. My two dogs loved her and she made me feel very comfortable: as someone who has never used a sitter before! Will be booking again !!”

About: I provide one-on-one, personalized care, ensuring each pet gets the attention and love they deserve. I have experience with senior pets, dogs with anxiety, and those with special medical or dietary needs. I send daily updates with pictures, so you’re always in the loop about how your pet is doing. I offer flexible scheduling and last-minute bookings, and I’m always reliable—your pet’s care comes first. For active dogs, I can offer long walks, hiking trips, and plenty of playtime, ensuring they’re exercised and entertained. I am self employed and manage my day to day schedule with lots of flexibility. I am happy to coordinate my schedule to accommodate you and your pet's needs! When caring for pets in either my home or a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and fun environment that caters to each pet’s specific needs. My home is fully pet-proofed and provides cozy spaces for lounging, sleeping, and playing. I ensure that pets have access to toys, beds, and safe areas to explore. I follow the pet's regular feeding and potty schedules to keep their routine consistent. I take time to learn about their habits to make them feel at home. Depending on the pet’s needs, I offer regular walks, backyard play, or indoor activities to ensure they stay active and happy. If the pet is anxious or shy, I provide a quiet space to relax and make sure they feel secure with gradual introductions to new surroundings. In your home I maintain the pet’s normal routine, from feeding and walks to playtime and bathroom breaks. I ensure their home is kept tidy and comfortable for both them and the pet parent. Many pets feel more secure in their familiar environment. I take care to create a calm atmosphere by minimizing disruptions and ensuring they have their favorite toys, bed, and comfort items. I offer tailored care based on the pet’s unique needs, whether that’s medication, specific diets, or behavioral routines. Just like in my home care, I update the client regularly with pictures and reports, ensuring they are always in the loop.
About: I’ve always loved working with animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, chickens, and even a couple of guinea pigs from as young as 10 years old. I love getting to know pets, their personality, and what makes them the most comfortable. I have a lot of experience in pet sitting, as well as pet photography, and I love adding photos to my collection while giving you nice photos of your pets. I work part-time, so I have plenty of time to hang with your pets. My schedule is a little all over the place, but I don't work anything more than a 6-hour shift, so your pet won't be waiting long. I have a large fenced-in backyard with many toys to help your pet feel comfortable. I also have two cats who love interacting with other animals but know when to stay away.
“Tim was great! It was very nice to be able to get away for a few days and not have to worry that Dunkin was well cared for. He sent us pics of Dunkin enjoying a popcorn party. Dunkin loves his popcorn! Tim also let us know if there was anything going on at the house. There was an issue with a drain backing up (not Tim's fault). Tim contacted us and we were able to implement a work-around until we arrived home to fix the problem. Overall, it was a very relaxing mini get away to Orlando.”
“Thank Ann! She was everything we hoped for and more. We have a cat who can be a challenge, with his funny ways and she rolled with it - even turning him into a friend. Can’t thank her enough! Also, she left the house as near or neater than when we left! Truly grateful!!”

About: I am always the first to be called when a friend needs doggy daycare or house sitting with dogs, cats, and often other animals. I’ve fostered and found homes for rescues internationally and domestically. I’ve worked for a doggy daycare where I was responsible for 50-70 dogs with a crew of 2-4 people. I also spent a few months off and on taking care of 10-22 huskies while part of the herd were sled racing. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and enjoy seeing all of their unique personalities. I’ve loved animals since I was small. We always had cats when I was little, as well as ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, my turtle boy China B, parakeets, and a Senegal parrot foster. I was surprised with a rescue dog when I was 10, Hemingway. It was an amazing experience and I helped train Hemmy to be a service dog for my grandmother who was visually impaired. I’m self employed and have the flexibility to set my daily schedule around your animals needs and regular routine. Lots of scritches, play time and love are part of my commitment to your pets. I am available for short and long walks (depending on your animals needs and ability), playtime, companionship, love and affection, meals and snacks as well as monitoring medication if needed.
“Carla was wonderful with our dog and cat. Our elderly cat, Ellie, was in her final stages of life, but we felt comfortable leaving her with Carla, who updated us daily, or more, on her declining health. Unfortunately, we said goodbye to Ellie the day we got home. But, we're glad she was with such a caring person her final week of life. We would enthusiastically recommend Carla as your pet sitter.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of October 2026, there are 105 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Carmel. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Carmel walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Carmel maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carmel choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
