About: I've owned a dog for the past 13 years. I now own 2 dogs. I have completed basic obedience class with 1 dog. I have fostered dogs, mostly puppies, and found them great homes. I am a medically retired disabled veteran. My schedule is extremely flexible outside of Mondays and Wednesdays when I take my daughter to school and pick her up. I am very trustworthy and caring with pets. I follow all instructions to the letter and make sure all animals are safe and happy under my care.

I have three cats back at home and experience watching small dogs, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets and making sure they’re happy and safe. I’m a student at UMaine and pet care fits well into my routine because I’m looking for flexible work. I am typically available weekday evenings after work and weekends. I have a runner that extends from the side entrance of my house to my detached garage with a partially fenced backyard. I live in a safe neighborhood and have great neighbors. Three of my neighbors on my street work for the police department.

About: A lifetime animal lover with 5+ years of experience. I pride myself on my thoroughness and dedication to providing for you and your furry family members! I am a teacher, so come summer time I will have a large amount of availability to walk or pet sit! As of right now, I work M-F 7:45-2:45 but could arrange to let your dog out for a potty break around 11:30. I am very attentive and always make sure to keep your pet’s safety a number 1 priority. Through my time as a professional pet sitter and pet boarder I have taken care of many different breeds, such as Maltese, Chihuahuas, German Shepherds, Labradoodles, Pitbulls, Boxers, Labs, Beagles, pugs, etc. I have also gained invaluable experience taking care of young puppies, elderly dogs, and dogs with special needs. I'm currently working as a Professional pet sitter and pet boarder full time, so I have the time and energy to dedicate to taking care of your pets. As a fellow pet owner, I know that your pets are like family, so while they're in my care I'll treat them the same and make sure they are loved and cared for to the best of my ability. Also, because this is my full-time job, I am very flexible with drop-off/pick-up times and understand that they're often more of an estimate. I've taken dogs in as late as midnight, and have had them picked up at similar times. I try to work with the owner's schedule as best as I can, as long as I'm available. **I accept last minute requests, especially in cases of emergencies, as long as I'm available. I live in a very safe neighborhood, however my yard is not fenced, so any dogs will need to come with a leash and collar or harness. I have experience walking large breeds and am okay with some tugging. As I do live in an apartment building, and my apartment is on the second story, there are stairs going up to my apartment. With small to medium breeds, if your dog doesn't mind being picked up, I have no problem carrying them up and down the stairs during their stay. Your pet will be safe in my care, as I have the time to keep my eyes on them and make sure they're both happy and healthy during their stay with me. I will be able to follow the feeding schedule/routine that is given to me for the pet and I will never ever give any pet food (outside of what's packed for them) or treats without explicit permission from the owner first unless prior permission is given (such as treats being packed for the pet in my care).

My dog inspired me to start this journey because she was my best friend and she sadly passed away of old age, I would love to be your trusted care taker and keep your pets the safest with me. My dream is to live on a farm someday and animals have always been a big part of my life. I know that ALL creatures are very sentient and feel just as deeply as we do, if not deeper. Having an animal next to me while I'm having family time makes my place feel cozy and homey ❤️ I always double check with the owner about what their pets can and can't have when I want to give snacks or extra treats, and I also have knowledge of what's okay to give them and not.
