About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering unadoptable dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, stopping jumping on people, food possessiveness, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs after she gets to know them, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs might initially bark at other dogs, but they don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: ***We will only board dogs which are spayed or neutered.*** If they are not spayed/neutered, I will be happy to do drop in or house-sitting care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. --- I require a meetup with dogs & their owners before actually accepting a booking. If you are unable to do this, I'm unable to take care of your fur babies. --- I work from home, so my availability is fairly open unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. _____________________________________________________________________________ *** Important Note*** Doggie Day Care is for "up to 9 hours" each stay. If you need care for more than 9 hours, please schedule it as a boarding. Just let me know it's for an extended hours stay in a message. Otherwise, for requested stays exceeding 9 hours, I will send you a modification request changing it from 'day care' to the status of 'boarding' which costs more. If I have to send you a modification request & you don't want to pay a boarding fee for time exceeding 9 hours, you may choose to decline the change & it will never actually be booked with me. However, in this instance, you will need to find another sitter. Thank you for understanding... We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

About: Hi! I'm Julie! While new to the pet/housesitting world, I have taken care of dogs, cats and horses since childhood. I've also been a human caregiver. I'm a retired RN of 35+ years who also worked in veterinary medicine as a vet assistant for 5 years. My love of animals has persuaded me to pursue a career of providing care to your furry family members. My preferred fur clientele would be mature adult/senior small dogs or cats (kittens or adults) who prefer to stay in their own familiar surroundings. As the mom of a special needs dog (epilepsy) I'm well versed in giving medications and providing seizure care. With owner direction and observation of administration, I would feel comfortable administering injections. Whether your pet is into sedate leash walks, snuggles, belly rubs or prefers self entertainment with toys or observing the outside world, I'm happy to oblige. My schedule is generally very flexible and my goal is to take care of your fur babies and your home as if they were my own. I'm currently working as a contract nurse and am able to set my schedule on a monthly basis. This allows flexibility for your sitting needs. I have 3 furry family members of my own. I have 2 standard poodles inside and a tuxedo longhaired cat that's in and out. All have been spayed and receive regular vet care. One of the poodles is special needs due to epilepsy and is on multiple medications daily to prevent seizures. I will care for your pet in your home as if they were my own.

I’ve raised and trained dogs since I was young and have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, high-energy dogs, and more relaxed companions. I’m also comfortable caring for pets with medical needs and can administer oral medications, topical medications, injections, and provide care for dogs wearing cones or diapers. I work from home, which allows me to provide a flexible schedule and spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. Dogs staying with me are rarely left alone for more than 2–4 hours, receive regular potty breaks every 2–4 hours, and get lots of attention throughout the day. I always strive to keep pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, potty breaks, fresh food and water, and lots of affection. All outdoor time is supervised, and I provide a clean, quiet, and stress-free environment. There are no other animals in the house. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout their stay or visit. I have access to a large backyard and a ton of greenery right across the street.

I have worked for a boarding/doggie day care for 2+ years that required me to take care of all different sizes and breeds of dogs. My availability would be in the morning before 7:00am and the evening time after 5:00 pm I currently have a full-time job but do plan on doing Rover/Pet Sitting full-time in the near future! About: Worked with Dogs and Cats both young and old. Along with a small range of farm animals like chickens and goats. Additionally I have works with some more unique pets like chinchillas. I have also done some house sitting off and on for a few years. Currently working part time over the summer so have more than enough time at all times throughout the week. I am free pretty much 24/7 all day every week but tend to like one day notice of booking. I have a small back yard that’s fenced in and more than enough space both within and outside my house. About: I’ve been in love with animals at a young age. When I was young I rescued a grey tabby when my mom was going to school. I raised him until he passed in 2020. In his memory, I’ve always been fond about cats. Oliver was not my only furry friend I had. I currently own a dog named Licky, two cockatoos, two pet rats, and an aquarium of fish…. For over a year, I worked in a lab-like setting providing daily care to a wide variety of exotic animals, including reptiles, amphibians, small mammals and birds.
