“Our 23 month old yellow lab Dillon had the time of his life for a whole week. He hasn't been away from home except short day trips here and there since we brought him into our lives at 6 weeks old. We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

About: I love playing with and caring for animals. I know it’s hard to be there for your pet at all times, so I would love to help you with your needs. I love to play, walk, bathe, swim, and do pretty much whatever it is your animal needs. I am comfortable with all ages, sizes and breeds. If needed, I can administer medicines. I have had my own dogs and other pets since I was 7 years old, so I am hoping that I can care for your pets the way that I have always cared for my own. Pet care is part of my everyday routine. “Our experience with Kenan was just what we needed. We have a highly anxious rescue boy with severe separation anxiety, yet we knew from the moment we met Kenan that our dog was in good hands. Kenan greeted Hank (our dog) by sitting on the ground and allowing Hank to see that he was safe. Kenan also took Hank and his new friend, Paco (another dog) on a long walk on their beautiful farm, and knew when it was time to provide some down time. About: I’ve taken care of my own pets since 9 and taken care of a few others before applying here can drop in for visits at any time during the summer months I currently own an American bully which we love she’s about 6 years old very loving does well with most dogs. Mom of 6 very used to being around dogs and often help take care of my dog as well. About: DISCLAIMER * As of 10/26/2024 * If i cannot meet you and your pets before the start of the booking, i will not accept the booking. This has become a safety issue for me. I will no longer be able to accept verbal verification that your pet will be fine with a stranger entering the home. (Exceptions are small puppies) I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was 10. My neighbor growing up had 4 cats, that I loved dearly! She was the first person who allowed me to watch her fur babies when she went on vacation! I've pet sat many times since then. Dogs big and small of all breeds from a little pug to a 100lb+ Rottweiler. I own a 85lb pit bull mix and a 10lb weenier dog. 🐶 They are my babies.💗 I can drop in anytime to check on your fur babies. Spend extra time with them. I do bathing, and walks also! If you need your fur babies to be crated, no problem! I will make sure their safety comes first. You can put your mind at ease knowing your pets will be taken care of! This is my full time job, I enjoy every second of it! So day or night I can always do a drop in visit or a walk! Your pets safety comes first! So during a meet and greet I will be going over a small list of questions to make sure I can take care of your fur baby to the best of my ability. With this I create a “pet profile” so when you need to rebook with me I’ve already got a reference to look back at. EXAMPLE; if your dog is good with other animals, or if there is a certain amount of food that needs to be given. These are just notes I make for myself, and so you can rest assured your fur baby is getting the best care!
About: What makes me special? Everything!!! A dog has always been a family member since I can remember. Thank God for loving parents who believed in bringing all kinds of pets in our home. We had birds, hamsters, and even the occasional snake or frog from the yard! There is a certain bond you get from a dog that you cannot get from any other animal, though...and I am lucky enough to have experienced that. My parents are proud owners of a rescue cat, and my sister's family has 3 kitties in their happy home!! They also have a sweet little gerbil that has somehow survived all of those felines! You can definitely tell we are a family of animal lovers!!! Since February 2017, my family "farm" has grown. I raised 21 babychicks from a day old...8 of which were ours, the rest for 2 other families...then we added 3 more, barely mature, hens and a rooster to our flock. It has definitely been a fun and wonderful learning experience! I have a wonderful rescued Pit, Buddy! We raised those chicks with Buddy around...so he is great with them! It's pretty amazing!!! (Oh...and just to clarify...Buddy will stay home during any visits/stays with your pet(s). That way you'll know your baby/babies are receiving the full attention they deserve!) Buddy is probably the most spoiled dog in the world because I make practically everything for him, from his shampoos (using essential oils) to his treats. He does get the dental treats at least once a day, but other than that...he's a gourmet doggie! I am a stay-at-home pup Mom...so on the 24 hour overnight visits with me, I'll only need to leave a couple of times during the day to take Buddy out to play, etc....he'll be with his Dad all night. Otherwise, I'm all yours, so if you need someone there to take your baby out literally every 2 hours or less, I can do it!! :-) I do Daycare a little different than Rover does...I only offer daycare in your home. I feel this is the best way to keep your pets in a place they feel super comfortable & with a sitter who will keep them happy, healthy and on their schedule completely. I will always keep you up to date on how your pet or pets are doing and will send you plenty of pictures if you wish! Extras services available: Baths with or w/o essential oils, Homemade bath soap with essential oils to-go (made with any requested oils from list), Doggie bag of treats to-go (made to your pet's dietary needs.) I have numerous flours available to meet any digestive issues. - No preservatives & human-grade (though some flavors may not suit human's taste buds!) About: We were raising dogs before we had children. Siberian Huskies, Akitas, rescue dogs, and Icelandic Sheepdogs. There have been dogs in our home for over 50 years. Our pets are a part of the family and greet us each day with a licky kiss on the chin. Our grandchildren love to play with Spensa when they visit. Pet care is intentional and a part of our daily routine. With the morning coffee comes the morning run around the back yard. With my breakfast is the dogs breakfast. If we go for a walk, so does the dog! We all just do life together as we can! We have a fenced yard allowing plenty of room to run and play. Our dog is very friendly and is very comfortable being around other dogs. She is current on all vacinations. Should you required you dog to be crated for any reason, we would be more than willing to comply to your requests.
About: I have never gone a year of my life without owning at least 2 dogs. I have always trained them well with leash training, potty, and crate training. I now am training a service dog (with the help of some classes) and am learning so much more about a dog’s health, needs, and how to learn from them as much as they learn from us. I know that when I go out of town I want the best care for my dogs and I want to provide a good place for other dogs to stay as well. I am a full time online student at the moment so I am available all day everyday, with the exception of future appointments or meetings that will not take more than a few hours out of a day at a time. I am typically home watching over my own dogs at all hours of the day; I do work part time on the weekends though and am usually gone for 5-8 hours at a time onFridays-Sundays (depending on the week). I live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood which provides a standard sized tennis court, which we have basically turned into a play park for dogs! We all have contributed toys to leave at the tennis court and I LOVE brining my dog (and the doggie I am watching over) to the court to run freely for a while and play without worrying about other dogs or being on a leash. Because I have a larger dog (110 lbs; he is a gentle giant), I have a large crate and large bed as well! This will be great for any sized dog whether they are crate-trained or not :)

About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.

I’m currently a mom to a 4 month old German Shepherd/Husky mix and I am working towards a Core Skills Dog Training Certification from CATCH. I work as a zookeeper 5 days a week, and available for dog care the other 2. During my off days, I hope to be productive, and walking or dropping by to check on your pet would allow me to accomplish this goal. I’m attentive to pet’s needs and look out for anything out of the ordinary. I’m able to care for your pet however you would like at your home!

About: I’ve had animals of many kinds from tiny to huge growing up. I’d normally house sit for family and friends until I decided to join the Rover crew. I enjoy house sitting as I’ve realized pet are usually more comfortable in their own homes. I have the ability to bathe, walk, feed, and of course play with your pets! About: I have many years of experience with working with animals - whether its with my own or in a professional setting. I am not limited to the animals I can care for. I have worked for a boarding/doggie day care for 2+ years that required me to take care of all different sizes and breeds of dogs. I also have 3 fur babies myself - Penelope, Bear, and Chewbacca ( AKA Chewy) So, I can assure you the best care for your fur baby! So stay tuned!! To ensure the safety of your fur baby- If they are at my home I have a designated area in my home with a dog gate that can separate your fur baby from mine if needed. About: I have been a pet sitter for three years with particular experience with senior dogs, dogs that require medications, and high energy dogs but have taken care of pups of many breeds and temperaments. Pet sitting is my full time job so i am available at all times as long as it does not interfere with other clients scheduling or any important person events which will be communicated. I do drop in visits to keep your pet taken care of for as long and as my times as you need each day i also do overnight care where i drop in throughout the day for the pets needs then spend the night to keep your pet company and taken care of. I have a dog who has a fenced in back yard and is crate trained along with a indoor cat who is litter trained for taking care of clients pets i resupply water, food and give any medication needed, make sure your pets use the restroom and spend time with your pet. i only require that your pet has a safe environment, food and water i do not give treats that are not brought by me as many can cause chocking I also will not provide your dog with any food/medicine they have not had before again for safety reasons.

I’ve raised and trained dogs since I was young and have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, high-energy dogs, and more relaxed companions. I’m also comfortable caring for pets with medical needs and can administer oral medications, topical medications, injections, and provide care for dogs wearing cones or diapers. I work from home, which allows me to provide a flexible schedule and spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. Dogs staying with me are rarely left alone for more than 2–4 hours, receive regular potty breaks every 2–4 hours, and get lots of attention throughout the day. I always strive to keep pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, potty breaks, fresh food and water, and lots of affection. All outdoor time is supervised, and I provide a clean, quiet, and stress-free environment. There are no other animals in the house. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout their stay or visit. I have access to a large backyard and a ton of greenery right across the street.
