“Shelly was wonderful and patient with my 2 cats that were being very shy after their move into the new house. By the end of my trip Shelly had made friends with both kitties. She also watered my garden and even brought in a package that got delivered. Would definitely recommend her.”

“Jadyn was absolutely amazing with our pups. She was very flexible, and always showed up on time or even before she was asked to be there. Our elderly dog is pretty specific about who he lets come around him, and it seems like he had a good time with Jadyn!😁Will definitely be using her again, thank you for a wonderful experience Jadyn🫶🏻”

“We were apprehensive about having a stranger in our home when we weren’t home. But we needed an extra option for pet care when we go away. My neighbor suggested Rover. Lauren was our first choice and we couldn’t be happier. We love that she lives close by and has a few dogs herself. She knew what my dog needed. Even when our Rizzo had some anxiety. Lauren instinctively gave the care and love our dog needed. We are grateful for this experience with Lauren and she is officially our new dog sitter.”

“Amina was absolutely fabulous. Very prompted to drop in and our 2 dogs Loved her! We will never worry over leaving town again with Amina working. We are even looking for her to get together as our dogs miss her.”

“We are repeat customers and as always were very happy with everything. They came to our rescue with short notice. Our dogs are always so excited to see them. Thank you!”

“Alissa was very good with our Rex. This was our first time leaving our baby and she was very accommodating to our concerns. She could immediately tell our sweet boy was sad we left him and she went out of her way to make sure our boy was happy, comfortable and loved! We will definitely be using Alissa again!”

“It was our first time using Kristina (and Rover) & we will never leave our dog with anyone else! She was absolutely amazing. We felt so at peace leaving our dog in her care. She gave such detailed messages & photos and we could tell she genuinely cares for our dog. She is amazing!”

“The second time Brett has watched my dog, Myka, for a long weekend and he is still just as great. We will continue to rebook him as long as he is available.”

“Carolina was wonderful! We had a family emergency and she took on the task of sitting last minute and did a fabulous job. She was thorough and communicated at every visit. She was so kind to us and our animals at a difficult time and we will be forever grateful. Thank you Carolina for coming through for us and taking care of our precious babies!”

About: I’ve always been surrounded by dogs. I’m not ready to get another dog yet so I know that I would be a good fit for yours. I am retired. Walking your dog would be a blessing to me as well as give you peace of mind. I will take care of yours the same as I would do for mine. I have a fenced in yard. I have no pets. I love being outside and am very active. It would be a honor to be your dog walker.
About: Hi! My name is Lariza Valcy and I’m a dependable, patient, and caring pet lover excited to care for your furry family members through Rover. I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets, and I always do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. I have experience caring for dogs and other pets with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having calm company around, I’m happy to adjust to their needs and make sure they receive plenty of attention and care. I can help with feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, basic grooming, cleaning up after pets, and giving regular updates with photos so you can feel at ease while away from home. I’m very attentive to instructions and understand the importance of keeping pets on their normal routine. I also value keeping a clean, respectful environment and making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for at all times. My goal is to create a positive and loving experience for both pets and owners. Thank you for considering me to care for your pets — I look forward to meeting you and your furry best friends! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel loved and cared for. I’m able to plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and check-ins to make sure pets receive consistent attention and care throughout the day. I enjoy creating a calm, safe, and positive environment for pets, and I always make time to give them patience, affection, and companionship while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for whether I’m in my home or a client’s home. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medications, and any special routines or house rules. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I take the time to help them feel relaxed, loved, and secure while their owner is away. I keep a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and always pay close attention to safety by monitoring pets during playtime, walks, and interactions. I also make sure pets have plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and supervision throughout the day. Communication is very important to me, so I provide updates and photos to help owners feel comfortable and reassured while their pets are in my care.
“Julia did a wonderful job with our four fur babies! They are all rescues and do not usually take to strangers but they loved Julia. That is all I needed to know about her. If they take to her like that, she is alright in my book!”
About: I provide wonderful and reliable service. I am very attentive and willing and able to care for any dogs special needs. Any dog big or small, I will love and tend to them like they are my own. Their happiness and safety are my first priority when dog sitting or dog walking. I would love to be of service to you and your animal. I am currently looking to get more active on the days and nights i do not work, and walking dogs is the perfect thing i can think of! I have two 15 lb dogs who love to play! I have my own crate if needed, but would prefer to have you provide one that your dog is comfortable with.
About: I have always had a special place in my heart for dogs! I was a pet sitter for 10+ years, but recently took a short break after moving to a different part of the great state of Texas! I’ve also been a foster and greatly enjoyed and will hopefully get back into that soon as well. Now that we are settled, we are ready to welcome your sweet pet into our home and will love and care for them as if they were our very own! We are a no cat household, so sorry!! I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from puppy to seniors! Our dog pretty much has free rein in the house, however, if you have rules that need to be followed, I will be sure to keep their routine for you! We hope to welcome your sweet pet into our home soon so we can love on them for you while you enjoy your travels, and I will be sure to send you LOTS of pictures! Working from home allows me to be present for your pet for most of the day. Most days I am home 24/7. There may be times that I will run an errand or two, but I will never be away for more than 2 hours. I also have cameras in the house that I use to check on them if I am away, even for a short period of time. Your pets' well being is my priority during their entire stay. With a fenced yard, your dog will be able to enjoy outdoor time as often as they like. My dog, Lukka, loves to play and have fun with other dogs. He’s been around puppies and giant dogs alike. He’s a gentle boy and will let your dog be as playful with him as they like. Our main living areas are carpet free, so if there are any accidents, it’s very easy to clean up! As previously mentioned, your pets are welcome to be as free as they like in our home. We have dog beds in just about every room in our home, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Please let me know your pets daily routine, dietary preferences, any medical conditions or medications, their temperament around other animals, and any specific training commands they respond to. Your pet will be treated as our very own. Unless you have specific rules, they will be allowed on our furniture and beds. We will, however, stick to your pets schedule and rules as requested.
“Tuongvi and Reinaldi are amazing! We had them come visit the girls ahead of a house sitting arrangement and the girls just love them. I know that we can now go on vacation without having to worry and that our girls will be in excellent hands.”

“Sage is such a gift! Over our extended absence (3+ weeks), Sage was responsive to Grace’s needs, using her impressive decision making skills demonstrative of her wide knowledge base. She took excellent care of our home and completed routine tasks to ensure our home was secure during our absence and more pleasant than we left it upon our return. The best accolades I can offer about Sage came from Grace herself. She is an old Russian Blue with a history of kidney problems. She also has a tendency to anxiously lick her body and develop irritated areas on her abdomen. She also is prone to dander. Sage clearly took pristine care of her, brushing and supplementing diet as needed without direction, as Grace looked and behaved absolutely beautifully upon our return. I would hire Sage to care for my sweet Grace without reservation again. I strongly recommend Sage due to her innate gift with animals. She is also adaptable and innovative and has the confidence to do what is best without direct instruction. Finally her responsiveness and reliability were reassuring. I recommend Sage without and reservation! You will be lucky to have her skilled help!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
