“I am so happy I found Joseph to take care of our beloved kitty while we are gone. We had peace of mind knowing he is dependable and just the sweetest animal lover/sitter! About: I’m always looking for an excuse to get my steps in, and spending time with pets is the perfect way to do it! Growing up, our home never felt complete without a couple of cats and dogs running around. Caring for animals has always been part of my everyday life, so making sure your furry family members feel safe, loved, and well cared for comes naturally to me. I’m very flexible with my schedule since I’m currently freelancing and enrolled in online school. I’m available Monday- Friday and some weekends; holidays may vary. My dogs always loved spending time in our fenced backyard, so I know how important it is for pups to get plenty of exercise and playtime. Whether it's neighborhood walks, a trip to the dog park, or simply letting them run around in a secure backyard, I'm happy to keep them active and entertained. If your dog needs a little extra care, like a bath or light grooming, I'm happy to help—just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. For everyone's safety, I only accept dogs that are potty trained and non-aggressive. If your dog has any behavioral quirks or special needs, please let me know before booking so I can make sure we're a great fit!

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is truly my passion. I have been actively involved in the rescue community for over 10 years and have extensive experience working with animals of all ages, personalities, and needs. I hold a degree in Animal Science and have gained hands-on experience working at a local animal shelter as well as as a pet care technician in a pet store. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and proper care. I am able to care for cats and am very knowledgeable about their unique needs and personalities. I am also able to board dogs, provided they are friendly with cats and children. Since I work from home full-time, your pets will receive plenty of supervision, attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, medication administration, or simply a calm and loving environment, I am committed to providing the same level of care and compassion that I would give my own animals. My goal is to ensure both you and your pet feel comfortable, confident, and at ease while you’re apart. I work from home full time so I will be on YOUR pets schedule. I do have small children but they have been taught how to be around animals appropriately. They love to play with the animals but will never be unattended with them. I will provide whatever needs YOUR pet needs. They are all different and have different needs and schedules. I allow free roaming. Pets on furniture. Pets sleeping in the bed. Whatever your baby is most comfortable with is what they will get here.

I’m comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and other unique pets, including providing meals, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, medication, and plenty of cuddles. I currently work part-time as a housekeeper, scheduling my services around my client's individual needs on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure that every need is met especially the needs of your beloved pet! I take pride in providing dependable, and thorough care and I prioritize the highest quality of service possible! I provide high quality service that emphasizes the pet’s safety, comfort, emotional well-being, routine, and overall care while the owner is away. What my high-quality pet care service involves • Understanding each pet individually: Every animal has a different personality, routine, comfort level, and set of needs. I take time to learn the pet’s habits, likes and dislikes, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and behaviors rather than providing one-size-fits-all care. • Maintaining their normal routine: Pets generally feel more secure when their familiar routine is maintained. This includes feeding them at their usual times, refreshing their water, cleaning litter boxes or potty areas, providing walks or playtime, and maintaining their normal sleeping and daily schedule. • Providing companionship and attention: my quality care includes genuine interaction. Depending on the pet, that may mean playing, brushing, walking, giving affection, talking to them, or simply sitting with them. For pets that experience separation anxiety, calm companionship can be especially important. • Keeping the pet safe: As your pet’s sitter I prioritize creating a secure environment and preventing situations that could put the animal at risk. This includes checking doors and gates, being mindful of hazards, monitoring interactions with other animals, and following the owner's specific safety instructions. • Observing behavior and health: As your pet sitter I pay attention and inform you about any changes in appetite, drinking, bathroom habits, energy level, mood, mobility, or behavior. Recognizing that something is different can be extremely important to your pets health and well-being. • I ensure all care instructions are completed with qualityand care regarding food, treats, medications, exercise, allergies, behavioral concerns, or special routines. • Keeping your pet's environment clean is top priority! This includes cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste in the yard, washing food and water bowls, cleaning accidents, and keeping the areas where the pet spends time comfortable and sanitary. • Providing enrichment Pets need mental stimulation as well as basic physical care. Toys, interactive play, walks, scent exploration, routine exercises, and age-appropriate activities can help prevent boredom and reduce stress. • Respecting the owner's home I ensure to treat my client's home with respect and professionalism. This means being responsible with keys and access, keeping the home secure, cleaning up after the pet, and leaving the home in good condition. • I prioritize communicating consistently providing you with reassurance that your pets are safe and doing well. A high-quality and meaningful updates about your pets day and, photos or video updates. Communication is open and honest—if something unexpected happens. My high quality services ensure and prioritize that your pet is treated with patience, compassion, responsibility, and genuine care—not simply being checked on!
“Jadyn was absolutely amazing with our pups. She was very flexible, and always showed up on time or even before she was asked to be there. About: I've taken care of many cats and dogs from my own, family and friends', fosters, animal shelters... the list goes on. I love animals. I have an apple head chihuahua (7 years old) and 2 GSD-Malinois puppies that are 5 months old. I'm the sitter that sends consistent pictures, updates, and pays 24/7 attention to your babies. I want to be the person that puts you at ease, as I know how it feels to be worried about leaving your babies. Hoping to find furry friends for my puppies too! EVERY. DAY. My older chihuahua is very low maintenance, but my GSD-Malinois puppies are extremely needy. We're very active, outside every 2 hours at least, tennis balls, tug-o-war, treat training, dog walks, and hug and kisses time. Depends on the age, but, first and foremost, is check the floor and keep my belongings out of reach. Give the pets space and time to adjust, offer some treats, and follow your pet's lead- both in my home or yours. Everything revolves around the baby.
“Sage is such a gift! Over our extended absence (3+ weeks), Sage was responsive to Grace’s needs, using her impressive decision making skills demonstrative of her wide knowledge base. She took excellent care of our home and completed routine tasks to ensure our home was secure during our absence and more pleasant than we left it upon our return. The best accolades I can offer about Sage came from Grace herself. She is an old Russian Blue with a history of kidney problems. She also has a tendency to anxiously lick her body and develop irritated areas on her abdomen. She also is prone to dander. Sage clearly took pristine care of her, brushing and supplementing diet as needed without direction, as Grace looked and behaved absolutely beautifully upon our return. I would hire Sage to care for my sweet Grace without reservation again. I strongly recommend Sage due to her innate gift with animals. She is also adaptable and innovative and has the confidence to do what is best without direct instruction. Finally her responsiveness and reliability were reassuring. I recommend Sage without and reservation! You will be lucky to have her skilled help!”

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
