About: There has never been a time in my life that I wasn’t taking care of dogs (and even a few wolves growing up)! My chihuahua-minpin mix Lo was an unplanned rescue (she was thrown out of a moving car in front of me) when she was about 6 weeks old. She’s 14 now and still a thriving terror in the absolute best way. I’m well-acquainted with the needs of different breeds, sizes, and ages, and fluent in canine behavior. Can’t wait to become besties with your beastie! I work remotely mostly over email so I’m very flexible in my availability. Visit times would largely be determined by already established feeding schedules and traffic. I’m happy to pop in for exercise/playtime, feeding, and cleanup! I’m detail-oriented and love a routine so I start with feeding (if medication is involved, it’ll be administered along with food unless otherwise specified) then change their water. Any necessary cleanup comes next, followed by exercise and grooming time.
About: What sets me apart is the amount of attention and care I’m able to give because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to spend more time with pets throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m patient, attentive, and focus on making pets feel comfortable and safe in their environment. I’m also careful to follow each owner’s instructions closely so their pet’s routine stays consistent. I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages, including playful young pets that need extra attention and senior pets that may need a calmer, gentler approach. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day, including feeding, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. I enjoy taking short breaks to spend time with pets, making sure they get exercise, stimulation, and companionship. Since I’m home most of the day, I’m able to keep a close eye on them and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care. I make sure pets always have fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of attention and affection. For cats, I keep litter boxes clean and give them calm interaction or play depending on their personality. I also pay attention to their behavior and well-being so I can quickly notice if anything seems unusual. My goal is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away.

About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember and grew up always having them as part of my family. My current dog is 11 years old, and I’ve cared for her ever since she was just 4 months old. Four years later, I welcomed another dog into my life, which taught me even more about balancing different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Overall, I have a lot of experience caring for both dogs and cats, and animals have always naturally gravitated towards me. I treat every pet as if they were my own, and will make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I am currently a graduate student in clinical rotations, which currently allows me to offer check ins and walks in the early mornings and afternoons. I am available for boarding on weekends, and can provide attentive, consistent care during those times. When caring for pets in their own home, I will prioritize safety, trust, and maintaining their normal routine. I will carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walking, medications, and house routes. My goal is to create a safe, calm, and comfortable environment so your pet feels comfortable and stress-free while you’re away.
About: What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals and personalized care for every pet. I have experience with puppy training, senior pet care, and administering medications. I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and at home — whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or special attention for their unique needs I'm able to give pets plenty of attention, regular and multiple potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. Having a flexible schedule means your pet will never be left alone for long, and they'll always feel cared for and comfortable. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family! I provide a safe, comfortable environment with lots of love, playtime, and attention. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, and any special instructions.

“This was our first experience with hiring a cat drop-in sitter. Ashley was dependable and personable, with tons of cat experience. We hit the jackpot! She kept us informed about our kitty children with texts and pictures. She went beyond the call of duty to help us out with an unexpected pest problem. It was great piece of mind knowing she was checking in on our felines.”

About: I have extensive experience taking care of dogs, including ensuring they get regular exercise through walks or play and providing care during drop-in visits. I also have experience with cat care, focusing on their specific needs and ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for. Additionally, I’m skilled at administering oral medications to animals and following specific dietary requirements, ensuring their health and routines are always prioritized. Currently, I work part-time, which allows me the flexibility to dedicate time to caring for your pet. I’m available to do drop-ins for feeding, playtime, or any other needs, and I can also help keep your pet active with walks or engaging activities. I understand how important it is for pets to feel loved and cared for, and I’m confident I can give them the attention and care they deserve! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize making them feel as comfortable as possible because I know they’re missing you just as much as you are missing them. I stick closely to their usual routines, whether it’s mealtime, walks, or playtime, to provide a sense of familiarity. I also take the time to give them extra affection and engagement, whether it’s cuddles, play, or simply being present, so they feel reassured and cared for in their own space

“Maddy is a wonderful dog caretaker! She knows her stuff when it comes to dog training. I hired her for Dog walking but it’s comforting knowing she’s also a dog trainer. Monty responded very well to her and I definitely recommend her to others!”

“Keleigh did drop in visits with out cat Niko. She texted us multiple pictures every day, some of which Niko was actually sitting on her lap, completely content! That made me smile! She also texted how he was doing, filling water bowl and let us know status on all his surroundings. I would definitely use her services again! Thanks Keleigh!”

I have been pet sitting for the past 20 years & would love to continue to do so for the rest of my life. I truly enjoy helping others & I love animals so why not do both at the same time? :) I’m currently only working part time so I have a good amount of time on my hands & would love to fill it up with doing something I love. I make sure to clean my cats/ dog’s bowls every day & fill them with fresh food & water. My boyfriend & I make sure to take our dog out at least 4 times a day. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Piru. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
