“Eleanor took great care of our two cats while we were away! They both warmed up to her and we (and them!) appreciated her engagement and play time with the cats! She was also very responsive and sent us plenty of pictures.”

About: I have been taking care of my neighbors, family, friends, and my own dog/pets for 10 years including walks, feeding, watching, and helping train. I have experience with puppies and older dogs as well as injured or sick dogs. I am currently in a local college for health care. I am free all day Saturday-Monday and after 3 Tuesday-Friday. I have transportation and can drive a reasonable distance. I would follow any rules you have set for your dog (ex. food allowed, walking requirements, type of leash/collar for walks, and if they need to be crated or not) I would be able and willing to provide any medical care needed as long as I am shown how to correctly.

“Jessica was amazing at taking care of my two cats! She was responsive to messages, did thorough check ins, and was someone I trusted to leave my pets with. I would 100% book her again in the future!!”

I currently have one dog that I dote on full-time. I work from home and am centrally located, which makes it easy for me to do midday drop-ins on my lunch break and right after my workday ends. I am the go-to pet sitter for many of my friends and family members and am patient and understanding with animals who are shy or have anxiety.

This was our first time using the Rover app and we were a little nervous about it, but Natasha sent us updates that put us at the ease (including letting us know when we had packages delivered) and we came home to happy kitties. We will definitely reach out to her the next time we need a sitter.”

About: I have actively been taking care of dogs since I was a teenager, and in doing so I have worked with a variety of breeds, sizes, and dog of different ages. My manner of minding focuses on building a connection with the dog while uniquely understanding the breed and the specific needs they may need met. I'm very active and thus great with dogs who are looking to get in shape or have high energy levels. I have experience working with dogs who have been abused or neglected and re-socialising them. My home is large enough for multiple dogs of many sizes to be comfortable in as well as a short walk away from multiple parks. Both mornings as well nights are currently available Monday-Sunday.

About: I treat every pet like they’re my own—whether it’s for a quick walk, overnight stay, or just some extra playtime. With a calm, caring approach and a love for all animals, I’m committed to keeping your pet happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. You can count on reliable updates, attention to detail, and plenty of tail wags! I currently work full time as an emergency room technician at a local hospital. I would love to spend my days off with your animals! When caring for pets at their home, I follow your instructions closely to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. I make sure they’re fed, walked, played with, and given lots of affection—just like you would. I also keep their environment clean and safe, whether that means refreshing water bowls, scooping litter, or tidying up after playtime. I provide updates with photos so you always know your pet is happy and in good hands.

About: My first cat was way back in 1992 when a pregnant cat adopted me. She lived in the apartment next door with 4 other cats, a single Mom and 2 little girls. She would visit my apartment daily, also scoping me out, because she had future plans. Soon after I was the proud Human Step-Mom to Mama cat and her 5 kittens. That started my love for the feline species. I've always owned and loved dogs since my childhood. My first dog's name was Rusty, a smart and gorgeous Golden Retriever. I had tanks full of fish, multiple birds (Peanut could talk-he was a Green Cheek Conure), and often cared for my daughters ferret, Franklin, when she went on vacations. No pets are off limit ..... except snakes and spiders. Willing to administer meds. Currently I am doing pet care full time so I am available just about 24/7. I do have pets at home so I would need to take some time to attend to their needs during the day as well. I currently have both a dog and cat living with me so care outside of my home is preferable. I'm available almost all day and can stop in whenever necessary.

About: ***Now booking for Fall 2025!*** Hey, Rover friends! My name is Alex (he/they) and I absolutely love dogs. Growing up with an 85-pound yellow lab, I fell in love with these gentle giants as a kid, and volunteered at the local animal shelter during high school. I have experience with various types of training, including crate training, teaching loose-leash walking, and doing socialization work in public places. Over the past four years, I have sat for dozens of clients, both through Rover and for family and friends. I also serve as a regular dog walker for several others. I have experience with a wide variety of dog breeds and ages. From rescue mutts to the stigmatized Bully breeds, family dogs such as the Doodles, Pugs, Bulldogs, and Labrador Retriever, and herding dogs including the Corgi, Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, and Shetland Sheepdog, I believe that each dog has a unique personality and can thrive given the right circumstances! In the next couple of years, I hope to adopt a rescue dog myself, but right now, Rover gives me the chance to be around lots of different animals despite my busy lifestyle. I am a PhD candidate, and I work from home a good portion of the week. When I teach, I am typically gone for 4 hours at the most, so I am able to check in on dogs frequently. I am also a very active person and enjoy strolls through the park, long hikes, or easy tempo runs on local cross-country trails. For doggy daycare and boarding, I have a comfy crate that is adjustable to your pup's size, and for their safety, I typically crate them if I leave the house until we have built a relationship. I have a small fenced-in backyard which is perfect for potty breaks, fetch, and short training sessions. I live close to Washington Park, and frequently take pups on the loop around the lake. I also enjoy taking day trips to the Adirondacks and Catskills for hiking :)

“Having Elena check in on our new puppy made my husband and I feel so much better when we both had to work on the same day. Her communication is excellent and I know our girl was well cared for!”

About: I will care for your dogs with ease and I will always be on time and reliable! I will give your pup the special care and attention that he or she needs. I have over 14 years of experience caring for canines and felines. Working with the needs of your dog is my top priority. I am in Albany, NY. I have a flexible schedule and I can prioritize taking care of your furry friend! I can drop by for a food and play session with your cat, or bring your dog on a 60 minute walk, and feed your dog (if needed). Pets I take care of are in the pet parent's home, rather than my own home. If there are certain routines and things you would like to share with me about best practices in your home, please let me know.

About: I was raised by a vet who would take care of a variety of animals including dogs in our home so I have a lifetime of experience communicating and caring for them. I have generally been able to get even the most aggressive, timid and fearful dogs to warm up to me eventually with no issues. I also know how to safely break up dog fights, but more importantly, I know how to keep an eye out for signs to prevent them in the first place. I have experience caring for blind dogs, sick dogs, physically disabled dogs, puppies, seniors, and even dogs that think they are cats! I love being active so if your dog is high energy, then we are a perfect match. I work full time but remote so I have a very flexible schedule during the day and am usually available nights and weekends at any time. I live next door to Washington park and often take my own dog to the fenced in tennis court when they're not in use so he can securely play off-leash.
