“We have had Nancy watch our dogs on and off for about a year. She comes and stays at our home, takes care of our two big dogs with tender, loving care. She treats our home with loving care as well as our dogs. I highly recommend Nancy for your pet sitting needs.”

“Extremely appreciative and pleased with Ingrid's house sitting! She promptly responded to all messages, provided reassuring check-ins, and carefully looked after our neurotic (reactive) Mini Aussie.”

“Mary house sat for us and took care of our two pitbulls while we were on vacation! The house was in great condition when we got home and she sent photos of the dogs while we were away. I would book with her again!”

About: I've cared for pets—my own and those of friends and family—for years, and it's a passion of mine. I love cats and dogs equally, and at home I've got two sweet, energetic Bengal cats who keep me on my toes! Whether it's playtime, walks, feeding, or just cuddles, I'll treat your pets like part of my own family. Reliable, attentive, and always happy to help! I have a flexible schedule as I work from home and live in the Ridgefield area. I am happy to travel to Salmon Creek, La Center or Northern Vancouver. Pets do best in familiar environments — especially cats — so I always come to your home rather than the other way around. I treat every pet like my own: love, attention, and energy matched to their activity level. Just tell me what they need, and I'll take care of it. While you're away, I'll send frequent updates so you stay connected, and will stick to their normal routine to keep them comfortable. I've worked with all kinds of breeds, personalities, and quirks. Earning trust with both pets and their owners is my top priority — love and play are a close second. I'm happy to bring your pet to dog parks, rivers or trails so they can have fun while you are away.
About: I've taken care of dogs pretty regularly, from chihuahuas to great danes. I work well with senior dogs just as well as energetic young dogs :) I'm an online graduate student with an internship in Vancouver, but my schedule is pretty flexible. I'm almost always open on weekends as well. Whatever fits you needs. I have a fenced in yard at home, and food is usually separated from my other pets' food and typical routines to limit interaction. At a clients home, I work hard to keep the home pristine and keep an eye on your pets wherever they go.
“Jan and Paul have our business as long as they are in the biz!!! Our two dogs and one cat adore Paul so very much and we know they’re in great hands with them.”

“Kylie did an amazing job watching my girls!! She took good care of them and provided me with updates whenever I wanted and checked in with me on her own (including sending photos). She left my house immaculate (especially being here 2 weeks) and she is incredibly kind and thoughtful! I highly recommend her for others looking for a pet sitter and will definitely request her when I need a pet sitter in the future!”

“Maureen house sat for 5 days and watched my 2 little dogs and they loved her. Maureen kept me updated, sent photos and even washed the bed sheets and towels she used. Also, one of my dogs can be anti social with people she doesn't know well. By the 2nd night she was laying next to Maureen on the chair. Maureen is wonderful and will defintely use again.”

“Brandon stayed with our senior pups for an overnight trip. He was very communicative and sent photos to let us know how our old boys were doing throughout the stay! It was our first time leaving them and I was nervous to do so, but Brandon’s updates put my mind at ease. He followed all our instructions and gave them their medications. When we returned, the dogs were happy and healthy and our house looked great! Looking forward to having Brandon back for a longer stay.”

About: I grew up on 5 acres with lots of animals, from dogs to cats, chickens, and even rabbits. 6 years ago, I got my first puppy and now have a lifelong best friend. I'm familiar with simple care routines, as well as advanced care, including complex feeding routines and even insulin shots. I'm currently between jobs, and so I have a very flexible schedule that I can pivot to your needs. I'm excited to provide exactly what you need. I'm excited to provide careful attention and affection to your pets. I'm comfortable with a variety of pet personalities and needs. Specialized care is no problem!
“Our family needed Jacob during a very difficult time. Jacob was kind, prompt, and immediately hit it off with our girls (Bear and Tookie). He was available to provide last minute care for our fur babies and sent updates daily on their well-being. We will definitely utilize Jacob‘s services in the future. He comes highly recommended by all our family members!”

About: My family has had dogs my whole life, and I personally have owned a dog since the age of 8. I have also happily taken care of friends animals since the age of 10, and dog sat for for others since the age of 15. I’m currently a full time student who is working part time, so late afternoon and evenings are the best time for me to give attention to the dogs:) I am happy to provide some extra love and attention to animals based on their needs. Whether that be playing outside, going for a walk, or some good belly rubs.
“Our skittish rescue dog and cat had a super successful and relaxing weekend with Madisen. I really appreciated her great communication with me and her care for my pets. We came home to a house just as we left it, and our dog was so chill that I could tell she had been well-loved while we were away. I won't hesitate to use Madisen again.”

“Kelley was excellent with our boy Maverick! I was really nervous leaving him and she made us feel at ease. She sent pictures everyday and he was all smiles and having so much fun. I highly recommend her and we will definitely be using her again in the future 😊”

About: In my life I’ve taken care of 3 mid sized dogs as well as around 8 cats. I’m new to the profession pet sitting and care aside from friends and family but I know that for the rest of my life I want to spend time with our animal friends and learn more about them! I have full availability with scheduling. I have transportation to do in house visits but pickup and drop offs might get difficult depending on the size of your dog. I can make regular stops at your place to do check-ins/feedings/walks. I would be able to do longer visits if needed or even overnight if available.
“Kelsey was fantastic with my Great Dane puppy. She was patient with my pup's crazy puppy energy and sent lots of photos during the stay. Would absolutely book with Kelsey in the future :)”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pine Grove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pine Grove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pine Grove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
