About: I ran a prison dog rescue and training program. We rehabilitated dogs from puppy mills, rescue groups and shelters. We also did grooming services for the dogs. I'm retired. My schedule is wide open. I have time to devote to taking care of customers pets. I have always had a affinity for taking care of animals. I live in a Townhouse in a nice area with plenty of green space. I enjoy walking dogs who come to my house or walking them from their house.
“A great household for Kipper to spend time in! He made a best friend in their youngest golden retriever and enjoyed his time with all family members and add-ons (both humans and pups.) Stephanie sent detailed narrative updates and lots of photos and videos. It made me feel like I was missing out on so much fun! Stephanie will be my first contact anytime I need to be parted from my pup.”

“Lewis had a wonderful time during his stay with Amanda. We really appreciate her sending pictures too. We will definitely use her again the next time we go on a trip!”
“Franklin had a good time with Cat & her family. He has mild separation anxiety and I was very happy to see how well he settled in via the pictures Cat provided. He was treated like a member of the family. Couldn’t be happier. Definitely will be a repeat customer!”

“So thankful for Jen, makes taking a family vacations guilt-free bc our four-legged family member gets a vacation all of her own with other friends! Jen was patient with travel plans and assisted greatly!!”

“Donna was quick to respond to my inquiry and schedule a meet & greet prior to booking. She was accomodating to the extended times I needed, seemed knowledgeable with dogs, sent me updates while my puppy was in her care, and I picked up a happy puppy when I got back! I will book with her again!”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs through my professional work in veterinary care. I’ve cared for and handled dogs with a wide range of personalities, sizes, ages, and needs, including providing daily care, exercise, and following individualized routines. I’m especially comfortable with dogs who need extra attention, patience, or close monitoring. I’m reliable, attentive to detail, and quick to notice changes in a pet’s behavior or wellbeing. Most importantly, I treat every dog with patience, compassion, and the same level of care I would want for my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work Monday through Friday from 7 AM–4 PM, but I’m available before and after work, as well as during my lunch break, for pet visits and care. I’m available from 5–7 AM, 11 AM–1 PM, and 4–8 PM during the week. My weekends are completely open, so I have plenty of flexibility for longer visits, walks, drop-ins, and extended stays. I also have two cats of my own, so caring for animals is already an important part of my everyday life! I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine. In a client’s home, I follow their feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions closely while making sure their pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different energy levels and personalities and understand that every pet has their own routine and preferences. My professional animal-care experience has also taught me to be very attentive to changes in behavior or wellbeing. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I would expect for my own.
“we are so thankful to Kaila for agreeing to watch our pups at the last minute, and on a holiday too! She took great care of them, sent pictures and updates, and was very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything!”

About: I think that life is about being happy and animals of all shapes and sizes make me happy! I have had multiple pets all of my life, from bearded dragons and snails to cats and dogs but now I have settled with my older toy rat terrier pup and my fat orange cat! I was able to achieve my pet first aid certification through the American Red Cross but it since expired (they are valid for one year) but I thought it was worth mentioning that I have been trained. I work in Columbia M-F but live in Holts Summit, MO. I am willing to work in Columbia, Jefferson City or Holts Summit. I’m working full time but can do check-ins/walks during my lunch break, before 8am or after 5pm on weekdays. Weekends are much more flexible as I don’t work on Saturdays or Sundays. I am comfortable with crate training and of course fenced in yards are great! I have no issues with walking pups on a leash. I live in Holts Summit where we have a leash law so leash and a decent harness would be required for stays with me. I have a huge yard to walk them around in!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pierpont
Ximena is a wonderful care giver! We started out with Fawn going for daycare a couple of days a month. She did well with Ximena's dogs and they all got along. I had her do a couple of sleep-overs too, as it had been a long time since Fawn had been boarded. And at home, she does not sleep in a crate. So when it was time for us to leave on a 10 day trip, I was confident that Fawn was in good hands. Ximena sent daily updates with pictures. It was clear that Fawn was happy where she was, so this was a little vacation for her too. Ximena also gave Fawn a bath the day before pick up. The pics of that were funny! Clearly Fawn was not a fan, but she allowed it to happen anyway. Communication about Fawn was great! I knew what she was doing, eating or not and how she got along with the family and their dogs. Fawn and Madam, a pug, got along very well! And Fawn loved Ximena's daughter!! If you are looking for daycare or boarding, get in touch with Ximena. She is an excellent, caring, and very capable to take care of your small dog.

This is the 2nd time I’ve asked Erin to keep Lottie and I would have her keep my dog every time I leave town if I could! She takes such good care of her, sends me updates, takes her for walks and is really great. I wanted to change the time that I came back and then had an issue due to weather and was so late and she was still so kind and understanding. I really recommend her!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
