“Where do I start…. Sonia and her daughter are amazing people. The amount of love and care they gave to our baby maple is second to none. Definitely recommend, words don’t even begin to describe how grateful we are for them. Will definitely be booking again”

“Mikayla took good care of my pup Harley. My pup was very happy when I picked her up and when she got home she looked tired from playing. I have a very active dog meaning she requires alot of play time. Mikayla is wonderful !!! I'm also very thankful that she replied to my request on such a short notice. I send her a message late at night and I am very grateful she replied and agreed to watch Harley. My dog hates being left alone therefore for me it's very important that she has company around her. Thank you Mikayla ????”

About: I’ve loved and taken care of dogs since I was a child myself! From Pomeranians, to terriers, to huskies, I enjoy caring for them all. Your dogs will love hanging with me and going for walks. I have a very quiet, stress-free home (just me and my husband) which will especially be great for dogs that are sensitive to loud noises. I will do all I can to make sure they are treated like family and feel comfortable with me. I’m currently off work for the Summer as I am employed in a school district. I don’t go back until late August so I have pretty open availability aside from some events here and there over the Summer. Whether you need overnight care or just a couple hours of day sitting, I’d be happy to help. I have a one bedroom apartment with pretty open space. It’s just me and my husband (who works until 5pm). We’re in a neighborhood where I can safely take your dog for walks or outside to use the restroom. We do not have a fenced yard… but there is a grassy area for your pets to use the restroom right outside.
“Thank you so much for being available last minute and being able to accommodate our needs! Doggies had so much fun and they are super tired! Which I appreciate! Thank you so much!”

“Soo has provided great care while our fur boy Austin was staying with her and her boy Rock. Our Austin is usually pretty shy and gets nervous with strangers. Soo is so sweet to him and spent time petting him to ease his anxieties. Highly recommend her services!”

“Louisette was amazing with my dogs! I have two big labs and she was very welcoming. We had a meet and greet prior to the stay and she was very accommodating. My dogs felt very comfortable with her and her family! She even sent me pictures throughout the day which was very nice! I would totally recommend her service!”
“This was my first time using Jessenia to take care of my dog and she was AMAZING! I saw the great reviews she already had and I see now why she has gotten them - they're all well deserved and true! When I dropped off my dog I naturally was worried because as with all new things, you don't know what to expect. I immediately noticed that she was incredibly friendly and that my dog seemed okay with her. A few minutes after dropping him off, Jessenia sent me photos of my dog which put me at ease a great deal! Throughout the day she continuously sent me photo updates and I saw that my dog looked perfectly happy playing with the other dogs. This was beyond appreciated because I was able to enjoy my day without wondering how my dog was doing. I zero attention on him and felt he was in great hands. Jessenia is definitely my dog-sitter of choice from now on!”
“Marina has been absolutely amazing! If you’re looking for someone to take care of your fur babies I highly recommend Marina. My puppy pretzel, isn’t very social, and when I brought her to Marina’s house for a meet up, she wasn’t initially friendly towards the other dogs. However, Marina patiently worked with pretzel and carefully introduced her to the group. I am impressed by Marina’s ability to create a calm and welcoming environment. She is incredibly patient, caring, and always goes the extra mile to help. She’s also flexible with scheduling, which has been a huge help! On top of that, her rates are very reasonable!”

“Magda was wonderful! She had excellent communication. When we picked him up, he was happy and seemed to have had a great time. I’m so pleased with her care and will definitely use her services again!”

“Jennell was more than extraordinary! ✨ Today was Bread’s first doggy daycare drop-off & Jennell made it such a great experience for him! Please note that Bread is currently recovering from urinary surgery & Jennell was great at accommodating of his specific needs. I appreciate the quick and thorough communication with updates and friendly pictures-videos of my doggo while I was away! Thank you Jennell! We’ll be coming back 🐾”

I’ll take on any fluffy guy coming my way I’m currently working as a flight attendant but during my days off I am more than ready to devote all my attention to your baby. Spectacular dog sitter! I'm usually anxious about leaving my fur baby with a new person, but Sona immediately melted that away by answering questions and providing thorough information about her dogs and day care procedures. Our dog is high energy and Sona did not seem to mind, nor did she mind our last minute booking. And when our dog was nervous about eating dinner (which we told her not to worry about), Sona fed our dog by hand! I am so touched by her incredible care. Today our dog is passed out sleeping from her day of fun.

Shannon great dog sitter 🫶👍..... It was a last minute booking and she was kind enough to take my Louie 🐕 in on a early Saturday morning 🌄. Follow up pictures and videos provided 👍🫶. I know Shannon gave our Louie 🐕the attention he needed upon arrival for pick up Louie was happy and no sign of a stressed out pug! I will definitely be booking again for day care! Excellent experience from start to finish. Arianna was very attentive and took great care of my dog at all times. She kept me updated in real time, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. Her home is beautiful and the location is great. I would definitely hire her again whenever needed and highly recommend her.

Adriana was genuinely amazing with my dog! She was so sweet, very patient, and super accommodating with my timing, which helped me so much. She kept Potata well-fed, walked, and comfortable, and she updated me throughout the day with messages and photos. I could really tell she cared about him, and he looked so happy with her. I felt completely at ease leaving him in her care. I highly recommend her truly such a great sitter!!

I had such an amazing experience with this dog sitter. She was super flexible with drop off and pick ups. She took very good care of my Alfie and he felt very comfortable and excited to be there. We are lucky to have found her and will be using her service again. Highly recommend.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pico Rivera commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
