About: Iâm a veterinary assistant with 7 years of experience in the field and currently enrolled in veterinary technician school. Iâve grown up with and around both dogs and cats my whole life. My background in general practice, emergency, rescue, and boarding allows me to provide knowledgeable, compassionate care for pets of all ages and medical needs. What sets me apart is my ability to recognize health concerns, administer medications if needed, and give you peace of mind knowing your pet is being cared for by someone with professional veterinary experience. I treat every pet like theyâre my own! I work full time during the week 8-4pm but I am free in the mornings and evenings and on most weekends to take care of your fur babies! I always make sure to do whatever makes them most comfortable and happy. If the animal likes to play outside and chase a ball thatâs what we will do, if theyâd rather lay on a couch and get belly rubs, then we will do that instead!
âMichelle is amazing. She went above and beyond when she stayed at our house and watched the cats. We were able to relax on our vacation because she was so good about communicating and sending pictures of the cats. The house was spotless when we came home and she even watered the grass for us. Will definitely be using again!!!!â

âAcacia was great! She kept us updated with lots of pictures! Our dogs were so happy with her and her daughter. Will definitely be having her look after our pups again!â

âWonderful sitter who took great care of all my cats of varying ages, moods and neediness - and a dog in the mix! Shianne was very thoughtful and shared pictures and updates every day, so I never had to worry about a thing!â

About: I worked with dogs literally my whole life. I've grown up with no less then 3 dogs in the home. Dogs and all other animals are family. I believe in tender love and care is how to treat any kinda animal. I'm fairly active on rover. Dogs help me with dealing with this issues I've felt with since I was a teenager. I'm willing to take orders from the owners for their dogs. I don't mind cleaning up after a dog. I'm willing to give the dogs a bath if needed. I don't mind feeding. I'm hoping to one day become a vet tech as I love to help every animal I can. Furbabys are the best. I work pnr atm so im trying my best to cover costs of my living wage and what better way then to do what I truly love to do and that's taking care of animals. What ever is needed of me there is no such thing as a weird request when it comes to your fur babies . I'd be more then happy to make ur fur baby feel safe as much as possible, walks, play time, dog parks whatever is needed to make sure ur fubaby feels at home.

âPayton was so incredible with our pup! She sent lots of photos and updates, I could tell our dog was in great hands. She was super flexible and accommodating to his schedule. I would highly recommend her services, weâll be using her again for sure!â

About: I grew up with a house full of dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, birds - you name it and we had it. I was always the neighborhood kid who took care of the neighbors pets. As an adult, Iâve had cats and several breeds of dogs, including several who have not been dog-friendly, some who were runners, and one Shepard who I couldnât ever fully trust with other humans. Iâm clean, quiet, and super respectful - full introvert - and I work from home with a relaxed schedule - so all of these things kind of line up for me to pet sit! Iâm very professional, I own a company and do all of the work from home and we have a very high reputation for professionalism, which starts with me. Iâm also an EMT (I pick up shifts on occasion but never when Iâm pet sitting), which means, I take safety and healthy very seriously and you have to pass an intense background check to stay certified (at the FBI level) and so you can rest assured I donât have a hidden background. Iâm also involved in my communities and am on the board of a nonprofit and volunteer for others. My main job is very easy going. I own a company and can work from anywhere I have good wifi. I rarely have virtual meetings that last more than 60 minutes and so I am able to closely monitor and/or walk/bathroom pets. I have EMS commitments on Mondays and occasionally other days- so just reach out and Iâll confirm my schedule. Safety, trust, and respect are some of the most important principles in this line of work and it has been a core part of my life and profession. The company I own is a travel company and we take customers to 35 countries around the world and so I fully understand how valuable safety and trust is. I could go on-and-on about how EMS is rooted in safety and trust, but I think this much is evident. I also take and send pictures daily and know how important good and open communications is.
About: I grew up having pets all my life, and after high school started doing pet sitting occasionally. My pets have ranged from a Jacksons Chameleon, a few farm animals, and of course, dogs and cats! Two of my current animals are special needs, one with only 3 legs and one with a seizure disorder, so Iâm well versed in animals that need a little *extra* care! I currently work part time as a nanny, so I have more than enough time for drop-ins to take care of your pets and give them all the love, cuddles, and treats they may need! I care for pets in YOUR home and treat it as if youâre one of my nanny clients. Iâll follow your pets daily routine when it comes to food, walks, meds, etc and leave enough time for cuddles as well making sure the house is left clean from any pet accidents or pet messes.
âWe needed a sitter last minute and Bekah was there to help!! She was so kind and very flexible with our schedule. Our dog needs lots of attention and love and weâre certain he was well taken care of.â

About: Hi everyone! My name is Molly, a recent college grad based in DC who absolutely adores dogs. Having grown up with three furry companions and a family deeply involved in fostering, I've had a lifelong passion for caring for pets. With 8 years of experience in pet sitting, I understand the importance of trust and reliability when it comes to your beloved companions. Looking forward to meeting and walking your furry friends! đž #DogLover #PetSitter Currently, I'm seeking opportunities to pet sit on weekends when I'm not at work, and I'm available for dog walking in the evenings as well. If it were the right fit, I could occasionally do dog-sitting during weeks. It's crucial to remember that for dogs, this is their everyday life. Maintaining a friendly and loving attitude towards them is essential, ensuring they feel comfortable as you enter their environment. I love spending quality time with dogs and adjusting to their lifestyle. Whether that be playful, energetic, or more relaxed and snuggly!
âRiley did a fantastic job with our dog. Not only did she keep us constantly updated with pictures, but she treated him so well and gave him a great week with her. She also kept our house in wonderful shape. We will absolutely book with Riley again!â

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pickens walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pickens maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pickens choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pickens. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
