“Kitty did such a great job taking care of my cat Bruce while we were out of town for a week. Mr Bruce needs wet food since he lost his teeth, and Kitty came twice a day to make sure he was fed and happy. 11. Sierra H.
“Sierra was always my first call when I had to leave my pups to travel anywhere without them. I have two pugs, Aley and Lily, and they are truly a handful to handle. A lot of people do not understand how emotional a pug can be and my two pugs are not only spoiled rotten but very emotionally retalitative. Sierra was one of the only two dog sitters I could use otherwise my pugs would do terrible things to the sitter and to themselves (see examples below). I'll start with the easy pug, Lily. She was a rescue and was locked in a cage 24/7 and abused for the first 3 years of her life. After I rescued her and after a few surgeries she became a very timid but so sweet girl. She never learned how to play, she has abandonment issues, she gets anxiety very easily (sometimes men, brooms, vaccums, etc), and when stressed has some bladder issues. The first time Sierra watched her and told me she had zero accidents I did not believe her. She continued to not have any accidents and she never lost any weight and only ate dog food (as directed). It was clear she was never anxious, which can be very difficult. Now to my problem child, Aley. I made her this way, but Aley is very emotionally retalitative. If Aley feels like she's not getting enough attention at home she will dump trash all over the kitchen or after a long walk (where she's clearly pooped and peed until nothing is left) she'll come inside and pee or poop a little on the floor where you commonly walk. Or I've even had a dog sitter say she pooped on their sofa (so embarrased about that one). She will, also, go on a hunger strike for DAYS (I mean the longest I know she's gone is 72 hours). I usually tell dog sitters to sprinkle some cheese on the dog food after the second or third day to get her to start eating again. All that being said, she only goes on hunger strike for one day and that's it with Sierra. The only way I've gotten her to not go on hunger strike is to have a sitter stay in my house and she still goes on strike for at least one day. I'm told Sierra really loved looking after my girls and I really loved her taking care of them. She would constantly send me photos too. When they went for walks, when they took a nap, when they were lounging (this was before wag and rover and companies that send you pictures). She just took the pictures because she enjoyed sharing with me so I felt even more comfortable that they were safe and happy. Sierra had a touch like no other with my dogs and she was really my #1 go to every time. I really wish I still lived in the same city as her (I moved away) because no other sitter can compare here in NYC. Please let her work for Rover. She is the epitome of what a Rover dog sitter is advertised as. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me.”

It was really comforting to have communication from her keeping me updated on how my furry babies were doing while I was gone. The house was extremely well kept and was actually cleaner than I left it. Samaria is reliable and friendly, and I look forward to booking with her again in the future.”
