“We couldn’t be happier with Grace’s care of our Shih Tzu, Bentley! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear he was in loving hands. She treated Bentley as if he were her own—taking him on regular walks, playing with him throughout the day, and even letting him snuggle up and sleep with her at night. He also had the best time socializing with her sweet dog, which was such a bonus for him. One of the things we appreciated most was the constant stream of photos and videos. It gave us so much peace of mind to see Bentley happy, relaxed, and having fun. We’re so grateful for the incredible care she provided. Bentley can’t wait for his next visit! Highly recommend Grace!”

“Michaela and Ousta did a great job caring for my pup while I was away for work! I received lots of pictures and updates the whole time, so I knew she was n good hands the whole time!”

“Lauren did absolutely fantastic with our dog Everett! She went above and beyond giving us plenty of updates with photos and videos! Would highly recommend her and use her services again.”

“Another great stay for Maggie with Kenneth and Ziggy! Great communication. Wonderful care. Maggie loves her times with the two of them. Kenneth was very accommodating when our trip was a bit longer than expected. Will certainly use again.”

“Tina is amazing. My 10 yr old Terrier usually boards at our Vets office. Since he relies on seizure meds, we decided to board locally with someone who is with him most of the time. It worked out very well.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Jordan and Cody! We were in a pinch and they got our dog Willa in even with the short notice. I received multiple pictures each day just showing that Willa was in SUCH good hands. The professionalism and love that was given is something that I know is hard to find. We feel very lucky to have found them and will always use their services when we are out of town!”

“The cutest and best dog sitter! My dog looked so happy when I picked her up. Gia is so calm and sweet with my dog. They knew exactly how to handle my dog who can be a little skittish. They were easy to work with and I knew my dog was in good hands. They also worked with me booking last minute which was so helpful. Thank you Gia and Chad!”

“Paige took excellent care of my dog, Little Pup. She was scared and timid, but Paige communicated with me and shared photos and adjusted to make her feel as comfortable as possible while she was away from home.”

“Jessica took care of my golden retriever dog Lucky for 8 days till yesterday. Lucky was well treated and he was very happy when he stayed with Jessica’s family. Jessica kept us informed regularly by posting the pictures of Lucky’s activities. Lucky was very playful with Jessica’s husband. Thank you Jessica for taking care my Lucky so well. Lucky will be definitely under your care for any future boarding.”

“Niki was a dream for our pup. I was super nervous about leaving her, and Niki made everything easy and reassuring. She’s super responsive and flexible. We were maybe a nightmare rover family with a bunch of stuff that altered our plans and Niki was always at the ready to make sure our pup got great care. Wish we lived near her so we could use her all the time!”

“Kirby, her husband,Drew and both doggies were very welcoming to Sandy. It was Sandy’s first rover overnight and they knew how to draw her into the house so she was comfortable letting us go. The next thing we know we received pics of her relaxing on the couch and feeling Ike part of the family! Sandy came home without even an inclination that she spent the night somewhere without us! Additionally their beautiful home is very easy to access off highway 2 in Leavenworth. Like one minute from the highway. Will love to join this home for our dog in the future. Please search them out if you need sitting in the Leavenworth area!”

“Theresa is a kind sitter that took great care of our dog Bosco. He's a bit older and has some health issues, which she didn't bat an eye at. We got pictures while we were away and when I picked him up he was his silly jolly self - a true sign he had a great time. Thanks again Theresa, we know Bosco was in great hands and we'll be in touch again!”

“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my pups and for all the photos and checking in - they definitely love Tonya (I'm not sure they even noticed I was gone FOR ONCE) and we'll be going back :)”

“Gabby took such good care of my dog Izzie! Izzie is 12 years old and has kidney disease and arthritis and Gabby made sure she received all the special care she needs. Izzie is a picky eater and Gabby used great tactics to entice her to eat. Gabby and her family are wonderful and Izzie was comfortable and well taken care of while I was away!”

About: My family has owned dogs all my life, from Pugs to PitBulls. I started dog sitting when I was 16 years old for close family members and family friends. I am currently working part-time. I don’t have a set schedule at my job as of right now, it fluctuates every day/week. The days I do work are usually 4-6 hour days no longer than 8 hours. I do get a 30-minute lunch break to check on the furry friends if needed. I have experience cleaning houses and an Air Bnb, I will keep your space neat and tidy for you to come home to after a vacation.

“Joseph took great care of my shed machine while I was gone for a few days. He provided daily updates and made sure my dog got his daily exercise. He also has an adorable dog named Maggie who was a great companion during the stay. My flight got cancelled and he was flexible to extend my dog's stay without any pushback. 5 stars goes to Joseph and I would not hesitate to board my dog with him again!”

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Peshastin home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Peshastin.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
