“Our lab had a great time with Michaela and Ousta! She got lots of love and fetches! We received pics and updates daily and they were also very flexible when I chose the wrong dropoff date 🤦♀️ Thanks again!”

“Best sitter ever! Coco loves it there. She follows food plan and sends photos that reassure me and helps me stay in touch with my fur baby. Highly recommend though I hope she doesn’t get too busy to be available. Lol”

“We couldn’t be happier with Grace’s care of our Shih Tzu, Bentley! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear he was in loving hands. She treated Bentley as if he were her own—taking him on regular walks, playing with him throughout the day, and even letting him snuggle up and sleep with her at night. He also had the best time socializing with her sweet dog, which was such a bonus for him. One of the things we appreciated most was the constant stream of photos and videos. It gave us so much peace of mind to see Bentley happy, relaxed, and having fun. We’re so grateful for the incredible care she provided. Bentley can’t wait for his next visit! Highly recommend Grace!”

“Lauren has cared for my Golden Retriever, Astro, for two overnight stays and has been wonderful both times. The first stay was for a week, and the second was for two nights. Astro is always so excited to see her, and it is clear how well she cares for him. She is dependable, caring, and someone I trust completely. I will absolutely continue to use her going forward whenever she is available.”

“I am so thrilled my first experience with dog-boarding on Rover was with Jordan! She was so pleasant to work with, very communicative, and even held a meet and greet with Strike. Being this was our first time boarding her outside of family, I felt very relaxed and glad Strike was at a good home.”

“Niki was prompt to answer any questions we had and our dog absolutely loved staying with her! We were at ease knowing he was in her care. We will use Niki every time we need a sitter!”

“Paige took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She was very communicative and he seemed to love getting lots of love and pets from her! Highly recommended!”

“Gia did amazing! We received photo updates regularly and they even gave him a birthday party. My kids were so sad to not be with him on his birthday but that definitely made them feel better! I would definitely rebook again in the future! You will not regret booking them!”

About: I've taken care of our family dogs, cats, pets, and farm animals since the age of 7. We're an animal lovers household here at Walk and Sit with Maggie. We specialize in small to medium dogs for drop-ins, walks, daycare, boarding, and sitting needs. When Maggie is not napping we walk in the morning between 6am and 9am. Lunch walks are from 11am to 2pm with evening adventures at 6pm to 11pm. At Maggie's home we are fully secure with video monitoring, garage play area, and fenced back yard. For additional exercise we leash walk at the park and visit off-leash areas. Customer approved adventures prior to travel.
“Theresa was wonderful. She was quick to respond and was able to watch Bailey with very short notice. We received updates while away and we came back to a very happy pup. We will be using Theresa again in the future!”

“Gabby was great to work with. We recieved pictures and updates throughout Belle's stay. She was understanding but firm when there was a pick up snafu. She informed us of a situation with Belle's health. We would book again.”

“Charis was so amazing with my energetic pup! She was extremely accommodating, friendly, and made me feel so comfortable leaving my dog with her while I was camping. I highly recommend Charis to care for your pet knowing they’re in such good hands!! I look forward to booking again on my next camping trip”

“My GSP came home and slept for 2 straight days!! Jackson was well loved but also clearly had so much play time!! Claire was communicative allowing me to enjoy my time away knowing my pup was cared for deeply!”

About: My family has owned dogs all my life, from Pugs to PitBulls. I started dog sitting when I was 16 years old for close family members and family friends. I am currently working part-time . Anytime after 12pm I am able to stay/ visit with your pet. I can also stay over night if that fits your needs. I have experience cleaning houses and an Air Bnb, I will keep your space neat and tidy for you to come home to after a vacation.
About: Dogs have always been a part of my world, home training, loving, caring and fostering fur babies has been my pleasure. It’s an honor to be given their trust and affection and to provide safe shelter for them to develop and explore. I currently have a 5 yo Pom. I often have cared for friends’ dogs in my home. I have not yet found a dog I didn’t love and who took to me as well from pit bull to poodle. I present them with a calm gentle presence and they generally respond the same. They bring so much love and joy to my life and help keep me moving and healthy as well. I can keep on schedule with their meds and routines and keep in touch with you so you can know how they are doing. I am retired and very flexible on times and days. I am open to caring for your pets in my (condo) home or yours. I prefer a small (under 25 lbs preferably) dog for in my home. I am restricted to two pets at a time (including my Pomeranian) so only accept one at a time. That ensures your dog will receive lots of attention. I have direct access to yard that is far off streets and great for running and playing. If unsure, I keep your fur baby leashed and walk or run him/her 3 times or more each day. I can apply meds but no injections. There is one other dog besides mine in the condo building who is friendly and playful, and one Chin in the next building who is shy and stays away from others except occasionally. Your pup will be safe and secure.
“Turns out we didn't need a sitter because the hotel misinformed us about their pet policy. They did allow pets (for a fee!). Tom and Jennie were very helpful in working with us to minimize the impact of this misinformation. We appreciate them!”

“Deanna was such a wonderful sitter for my dog Holstein! She gave me updates, including photos, and made sure he had a great time. She also asked me questions prior to booking that let me know she knows dogs and how to care for them. I will have peace of mind booking with her again next time I’m in Leavenworth hiking and camping.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 50 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Cashmere. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cashmere home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cashmere.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cashmere sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
