“Keri was wonderful with our boys. It was our first time leaving them with someone other than family. Keri was willing to meet and greet our Shepard and pug before our day away! Things went well and we will definitely be asking Keri to watch our crew again! 😃👏❤️”

“I can’t say enough good things about Jocelyn! We were out of state for a wedding and the communication and pictures were top notch! My dog loves her and I’ll be sure to use Jocelyn again in the future!”

“Sarah saved us in a last minute pinch when we wouldn't have someone to let our dogs out! She was quick to respond, easy to coordinate with, and provided us with pictures.”

“I had a wonderful experience with Ariel while she watched Gracie and Lucy for the weekend. She took excellent care of both my girls, kept me updated with messages and photos, and made sure they were happy, comfortable and well cared for. It gave me real peace of mind knowing my pups were in such good hands. I came home to two happy, relaxed dogs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Ariel to anyone looking for a reliable, caring and trustworthy dog sitter.”

“Absolutely the best! Sara took such good care of my two cats throughout the holidays, enough to where my shy kitty even came out on her own within the week period. Sara was so responsive and kept me in the loop about my cats, along with catering to their special diets. I can't stress enough how wonderful she is - if you want someone who will take care of your pets like her own, look no further.”

“Aubry was wonderful to work with. She really cared for our pets. She helped take stress away while I was having surgery knowing our pets were being cared for. Thank you so much Aubry!”

About: I have been caring for pets PROFESSIONALLY for 14 years. Experienced with small dogs and seniors who utilize pee pads or fenced yards for their needs. I provide attentive care for multiple pets while maintaining their existing home routines. Dedicated to safety and consistent communication. Gentle Leisure Walks / Potty Walks I currently offer calm, slow-paced neighborhood walks that are ideal for potty breaks, fresh air, and gentle movement. My walks are best suited for senior dogs, small dogs, low-energy dogs, or pets who enjoy a relaxed stroll rather than vigorous exercise. Walks typically include a short outing close to home at an easy pace, with plenty of time for sniffing, potty breaks, and comfort. I do not offer running, fast-paced exercise walks, or long-distance walks. I provide calm, gentle care and leisurely walks, some breed and temperament restrictions do apply to ensure the best experience for every pet. Exotics I have experience with exotics; rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, hamsters, tarantulas, birds, fish, hedgehogs, iguanas, bearded dragons, axolotls, lizards, and turtles. During the meet and greet we will go over the very specific needs of all your special babies. The only medication I administer is the kind that can be mixed into their food. Please make sure to always check not just my calendar. Also please make yourself acquainted with my cancellation policy. I value every pet and every visit I’m trusted with, and I always strive to be punctual and reliable. In the event of unexpected delays such as traffic, weather, or emergency situations (including other pet care visits or personal emergencies), I allow a reasonable grace period of up to 45 minutes per visit. During inclement weather, for everyone’s safety, visit times may need to be adjusted earlier or later depending on conditions. Communication is always a priority. In any situation that affects timing, I will provide updates as promptly as possible so you’re never left wondering. I appreciate your understanding that real-life situations can occasionally affect timing, and I remain fully committed to providing consistent, attentive care for every pet I serve. Available 7 days a week including holidays. All my visits begin at 9:00 a.m. And the last visits are done at 6:30 p.m.. About: Hi! My name is Rina, and I’ve always had a genuine love for animals. I have hands-on experience caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities, including feeding, walking, playtime, and providing lots of attention and affection. I’m comfortable following specific care instructions, sticking to routines, and making sure pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their needs, energy levels, and comfort cues. Whether it’s an energetic walk, a calm cuddle session, or simply keeping them company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to plan my schedule around feedings, walks, drop-in visits, and quality time, making sure each pet gets the attention they need. I’m reliable with timing, flexible when plans change, and happy to accommodate specific routines. Whether it’s quick check-ins or longer visits, I make pet care a priority and make sure every visit is calm, consistent, and stress-free. When caring for pets in my home or theirs, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions closely, provide plenty of attention and enrichment, and make sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their environment. Cleanliness, safety, and communication are always priorities, and I make sure owners feel confident and updated while they’re away.
“I couldn't be happier with Serenity's care for my dog! She was attentive, reliable, and treated my pup like her own. It was clear she has a natural love for animals, and I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in her care. Serenity sent regular updates, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

“Amanda was wonderful! I reached out short notice while I was out of town and my wife had a longer day at work than usual. She did a drop-in visit for our two dogs and everything went smoothly. We’d happily book again!”

About: Hi! Hablo inglés y español. I work part time and spend the rest of the time adventuring with my toddler. I'm looking to spend time with and care for dogs, and as a former dog owner I know how hard it can be to find a good sitter. After I spent 3 years caring for a dog with a chronic illness, I am accustomed to all sorts of needs and am happy to accommodate them. I have also lived with and cared for a senior dog and I can work with dogs of all ages. I will only take one dog at a time, unless they are from the same family. I have a small yard and good neighborhood for walks, so can be active with your dog or let them spend the day sitting on my lap! Let me know if you have any questions! I work part time in the community. Since I make my own schedule, I can be flexible to accommodate your dog’s needs! My toddler also loves dogs. I have a yard and a home with plenty of space for dogs to roam. Dogs will be monitored at all times and all medicines, cleaning supplies, etc. are safely stored. If your dog uses a crate, that is also welcome but not necessary. I will only take one dog at a time.
“Theodore was amazing with my 16-year-old kitty Paulie. He quickly gained Paulie’s trust and affection. He did everything I asked and more. I felt really comfortable being away because of Theodore’s responsible and thoughtful care of Paulie.”

About: Thanks for the interest! Let me share about myself; I've raised litters of puppies until adoption. Weening, training, bathing, and vetting. I have provided simple training up to service dog training. I've learned over many years how to interpret dog language and behaviours as well as a lot of cat language and behaviour. Before moving to Peoria, I had a well maintained large fish aquarium with a dozen different fish. Animals are a big part of my life and helping others care for their furry family members. Its my passion to teach and help and it would be my pleasure to lend a hand in your busy schedule. I come handy with my own treats, bags, and extra leashes if needed! Have any questions? Please let me know!! My schedule is flexible around my CareGiving work. I walk my own dog at the park as much as I can with her age. I also leash walk my cat! Any rules I am given are followed. I'm big on following directions when given, otherwise it's all about the pet! Do they want to play, just be pet, be left alone? I'm here to indulge them and lock up before I go.
About: I have had a dog since birth. I have both big and little dogs, and I'm not intimidated by much. Each dog shows love differently. I am a full time sitter now. My long term care slots are filled up now! I have my daily daycare routine worked out pretty well, so I can do walks and/or pop-ins if necessary! We have a fenced in back yard, toys, love, and attention. Each animal deserves respect, dedication, and love to help make them feel safe always.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Peoria Heights
My wife and I had an excellent experience with Mayra! She took care of Pipinha (our lovely cat) for two days and did an amazing job. Communication was great — she sent daily updates, photos, and made sure everything was clean and organized when I got back. It gave me total peace of mind while I was away. We highly recommend Mayra to anyone looking for someone responsible, caring, and attentive. I’ll definitely book her again next time!

Alyssa went above and beyond for my pets. She came a few days before to meet them, and get training on what to do. Even though my cats were scared at first, she was very patient with them. On the day of the pet sitting, she sent pictures and explained what she did while she was here. I was very happy with her services!! It was great to know my cats were happy and cared for while I was gone.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
