I'm looking to spend time with and care for dogs, and as a former dog owner I know how hard it can be to find a good sitter. After I spent 3 years caring for a dog with a chronic illness, I am accustomed to all sorts of needs and am happy to accommodate them. I have also lived with and cared for a senior dog and I can work with dogs of all ages. I will only take one dog at a time, unless they are from the same family. I have a small yard and good neighborhood for walks, so can be active with your dog or let them spend the day sitting on my lap! Let me know if you have any questions! I work part time in the community. Since I make my own schedule, I can be flexible to accommodate your dog’s needs! My toddler also loves dogs. Khloe is a resilient 11 year old that has overcome major medical challenges, including a leg amputation and daily medication routines, and Oakley is an energetic 2 year old who keeps life exciting! Because of my own dogs, I’m no stranger to giving medication (including injections), working with limited mobility or vision, and supporting senior pets with the extra care they need. My walks are best suited for senior dogs, small dogs, low-energy dogs, or pets who enjoy a relaxed stroll rather than vigorous exercise. Walks typically include a short outing close to home at an easy pace, with plenty of time for sniffing, potty breaks, and comfort. I do not offer running, fast-paced exercise walks, or long-distance walks. I provide calm, gentle care and leisurely walks, some breed and temperament restrictions do apply to ensure the best experience for every pet. Exotics I have experience with exotics; rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, hamsters, tarantulas, birds, fish, hedgehogs, iguanas, bearded dragons, axolotls, lizards,and turtles. During the meet and greet we will go over the very specific needs of all your special babies. The only medication I administer is the kind that can be mixed into their food. Please make sure to always check what days I am available and times bookings may fill up so it's best to check with me not just my calendar. Also please make yourself acquainted with my cancellation policy. I value every pet and every visit I’m trusted with, and I always strive to be punctual and reliable. In the event of unexpected delays such as traffic, weather, or emergency situations (including other pet care visits or personal emergencies), I allow a reasonable grace period of up to 45 minutes per visit. During inclement weather, for everyone’s safety, visit times may need to be adjusted earlier or later depending on conditions. Communication is always a priority. In any situation that affects timing, I will provide updates as promptly as possible so you’re never left wondering. I appreciate your understanding that real-life situations can occasionally affect timing, and I remain fully committed to providing consistent, attentive care for every pet I serve. Winter is coming, and daylight hours are shrinking! To ensure safe driving conditions, my available visiting hours are strictly between 8 AM and 4 PM. Since kitties don't need late-night outdoor walks like dogs do, this daytime window leaves plenty of room to keep your pets routine perfectly on track while the sun is up! Additionally, I'm available 7 days a week and holidays. I maintain strict safety protocols, requiring secure fencing or a leash/harness for any outdoor activity. I double-check that all doors and gates are locked and secured. For my safety and yours, I require clear communication regarding who has home access.
About: I have had experience in many different animal environments throughout the years spanning from animal shelters, clinics, doggy daycares, and dog training facilities. I have experience with reactive dogs and have one of my own so understand the struggle of owning a reactive dog. Working in shelters I was constantly walking and caring for the dogs and cats while maintaining a clean living environment for them. Working in clinic environments taught me to give medication and understand how important medication routines can be for both dog and cats. Finally I’ve had experience in dog training facilities with extremely reactive dogs and learned some skills in dog training as well! I have a fenced in yard for my large dog, who is reactive with unknown men, so he has plenty of space to exercise and play! He has a routine of when he is fed, same as my cats.
