We are a foster family for a local dog rescue organization where we take in one or two dogs at a time until they can find their forever homes. My husband works full time, but I am a freelance writer with flexible hours working from home while caring for our three kids. In other words: your pup won’t be left alone often! 😆 **Please note: all pets must have proof of updated vaccines and be okay with kids (they will be loved on and spoiled by our kiddos while they’re here!) I am home daily with my kids, so lots of potty breaks and playtime is possible throughout the day. We are available most weekdays or weekends unless blocked while we have a foster or for travel. We have a 4-foot aluminum fence in the backyard and live on a public park with a walking trail for easy exercise options. About: I’ve been taking care of animals my entire life. I first started with chickens when I was growing up and now I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, etc. around 4 years ago I first started a job as a kennel assistant where I would do feedings, lets outs, and even one-on-ones for the dogs/cats that were boarding. I’ve worked in daycare during my time as a kennel assistant as well where I had to determine demeanors and personalities of the dogs attending. 2 years ago I went into the medical side of animal care and became a Veterinary Assistant. I’m now in school to become a Veterinary Technician and eventually to become a Vet. I know how to tell when something is wrong with an animal and am able to do the things necessary to help I work full-time currently Monday-Wednesday, and I’m off on Thursdays. Then I work Fridays and am off weekends. On weekdays I have an hour break so I am able to do the let outs I need to during this time. If I am doing at my house care, the first thing I would do is have a meet and greet with my dogs and go from there to make sure they are compatible to stay at my home. If we are doing at my clients house, I would still like to do meet and greets beforehand so I can get to know your animal better. Once that is all done, I would like to know the rules and regulations for feeding times, let out times, and any medical needs that are needed. Dog walking I can only do Thursdays, and weekends but there are a few things I would like to know beforehand. Just the basics on how they do when other dogs are around, what to watch out for, and if there are any rules the dog needs to keep up with.
