“We brought our dog back to Melissa’s for another weekend stay and our dog was SO excited when we got to her house! I can’t say enough great things about Melissa - she always responds quickly and sends multiple adorable updates/pictures a day, helping me know that my dog is happy and safe. She’s definitely our go-to sitter from now on!”
“Congenial sitter with admirable conduct & disposition, performing over and above the routine services. Our dog appeared to enjoy being in her care. Thanks again”

“From Sarah we got quick response, she sent pictures, she is very kind and did a great job taking care of Maggie. Maggie had a very good time with Sarah and her doggies. Definitely we would book with Sarah again.”

“Kayla and her family made our dogs feel at home. They were well cared for, we got daily updates and pictures. I really appreciate knowing how they are while I’m gone. Our dogs were happy to see us, but went back in the house to say good bye to the family before saying good by to Kayla and her family. Thank you all for the care and love you gave our fur babies.”

“De'Aysia was a wonderful sitter, and I will definitely try to use her again. She took excellent care of my fur baby American Terrier/Huskey Mix, Winter! He was happy to pack and socialize with her doggies and her knowledge of care is impressive. She was in contact with me every day and updated me constantly while I was away. Thanks again! The Rover App works great, and I Highly recommend booking with De'Aysia. Happy New Year!”

“As a first-time Rover user and a nervous dog mom, I was hesitant to leave Banjo with anyone, especially since we just adopted him from a shelter. However, Jenelle completely exceeded my expectations. She was incredibly thoughtful and even suggested a meet-and-greet before the stay to make sure Banjo would be comfortable. She showed such patience and care with him, especially since he’s a shy and nervous dog. Throughout our trip, Jenelle kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which really helped ease my worries. Banjo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly had the best time with Jenelle and her own dogs. I think he was a little upset that we were taking him home because he had so much fun!! We’re so grateful for her wonderful care and will absolutely be leaving Banjo with her for all our future trips. Highly recommend!!”

“Nathan, Jacqueline and their children, along with their "pup" Charlie, were the most welcoming hosts we could have hoped for! Our Levi and Junior are admittedly on the higher-maintainence side and their family took it all in stride. We met with them prior to committing to the hosting in order to make sure the dogs were compatible and to discuss Levi and Jr's needs. It was a very comfortable and easy meeting. We left the initial meeting feeling very comfortable. When the time came to leave our fur babies, Nathan reassured us our pups would be fine. While we were away, we received daily updates with pictures that showed our pups were doing fine and having fun ! The kids took them for walks, and Jr found a new friend in their pup Charlie. When we came to pick them up, they were healthy and happy. It was wonderful to be able to go on vacation knowing Levi and Jr were in good hands. We would definitely recommend Nathan and Jacqueline and their family to host the dogs of friends and family without reservation! If we need to leave our pups again, we would would not hesitate to leave them with Nathan and Jacqueline (if they would agree, if course)! THANK YOU, E. FAMILY, for your wonderful care of Levi and Junior!”

“Leslee was super nice and helped us out big time when we were in a pinch. Milford seemed to have a great stay and made himself right at home. We’ll definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Emily did a wonderful job and provided an enjoyable and safe environment for our 4 dogs inside and outside of her home. She was also always easy to communicate with and quick to respond. She put us at ease with sending us photos of our babies at her home relaxing and playing. Would use her again.”

“Lola and her family did a great job caring for Josie. She was honest, and so sweet and gentle with my furbaby. I appreciate she was flexible with a meet and greet prior to boarding. I highly recommend Lola. Convenient, reasonable and very honest.”

“Great customer service, prompt and friendly communications, and wonderful relationship with my Dog! I have now become a repeat customer because of these facts. Highly recommend.”

“Chelsey and her roommates did a great job taking care of Daisy! They played with her and took her on walks. I was nervous about Daisy being with another dog but by the next day they were best friends! I will deffiently be using Chelsey again when I need Daisy to go to a sitter. Chelsey sent me pictures and messages to let me know how it was going throughout the visit.”

“Melissa was incredible and so easy to communicate with My dog got to play with her lovely puppy! And they both were tiring each other out! The yard was a bonus! Melissa sent updates regularly and kept up with my puppy Keanu Reeves! Will use again! She was amazing!”

About: New to pet sitting, but not new to pet care! I treat every animal like family, and understand the love, patience, and responsibility it takes. :) I am currently working part-time! I am available on certain days throughout the week to do visits, walks, or daycare. I even can on some weekends! I have both a fenced and unfenced yard! I also have 3 siblings (6 and older) who love, enjoy, and have fun playing with all animals too! :)
“We had a great experience with Hailey taking care of our pup while we were on vacation for 2 weeks! She was great about sending pics and videos daily! Our pup got along great with her other dogs and was well taken care of!”

“I am so thankful we found Rachelle! Our dog has some anxiety & is not always comfortable in new situations or places. Rachelle worked hard to put him at ease & make him comfortable his entire stay. We received daily updates & photos, which I so appreciated! I would definitely recommend Rachelle & we will be booking with her again!”

“Just had Keri to visit our kitties twice when we were out of the country and she was awesome! Both of our cats are quite social and I can tell they loved and trusted her! Me and my husband are both travel nurses so we are away mostly during our contract and having drop in visits from Keri is such a great help!”

“Samantha did a great job! She showed up on time and did a great job with Ranger! Shes definitely a Animal lover and look forward knowing when I need her, ranger will be in good hands!”

“We were so lucky to find Emily on Rover.com! Emily was great with our two cats…Even our youngest who normally runs and hides anytime someone visits, stopped and greeted Emily at the door on the day of the 1st meeting. We were stunned, but it really put us at ease to know that our cats instantly trusted Emily. Emily was very professional, caring, provided us with regular updates and pictures while we were away, which was awesome because we really missed them so much! Emily visited, fed them, played with them, carried on our tradition of hiding treats for them to hunt for (which they love), hand fed them gravy treats that they shared together and gave belly rubs and pets when requested by our fur babies. It just really means so much to know that there are kind people out there like Emily who genuinely love to care for animals. We are so thankful and would highly recommend Emily to anyone who may be nervous about using a service like Rover.com. We’ve already rehired Emily for two additional getaways!! We’re confident and comforted knowing that our cats will be loved and cared for during those times.”

“Sara is an absolute angel - she was able to book last minute due to a personal emergency and did absolutely wonderfully with my 2 cats. Sara earned the trust of my shy girl who usually hides for anyone other than me. 1000% recommend if you are looking for someone who actually cares for your pets as if they were her own.”

“Erin is awesome!! She took great care of our Ryder, and kept us updated with the cutest pictures of him each day. We’re very glad to have found such trustworthy, reliable care for our kitty when we’re out of town. We highly recommend Erin! :)”

“Carly watched my cat Raspy for a long weekend trip. My cat can definitely be picky on who he likes and he loved Carly! She did a great job and will definitely be using her in the future to watch Raspy!”

About: Hi! Hablo inglés y español. I work part time and spend the rest of the time adventuring with my toddler. I'm looking to spend time with and care for dogs, and as a former dog owner I know how hard it can be to find a good sitter. After I spent 3 years caring for a dog with a chronic illness, I am accustomed to all sorts of needs and am happy to accommodate them. I have also lived with and cared for a senior dog and I can work with dogs of all ages. I will only take one dog at a time, unless they are from the same family. I have a small yard and good neighborhood for walks, so can be active with your dog or let them spend the day sitting on my lap! Let me know if you have any questions! I work part time in the community. Since I make my own schedule, I can be flexible to accommodate your dog’s needs! My toddler also loves dogs. I have a yard and a home with plenty of space for dogs to roam. Dogs will be monitored at all times and all medicines, cleaning supplies, etc. are safely stored. If your dog uses a crate, that is also welcome but not necessary. I will only take one dog at a time.

“Kristine was so great with my cat Sushi! She helped him with his electronic water bowl that fell over and was very sweet to him. Thank you so much and will ask again in the future! :)”

About: Hi, I’m Rina! I have hands-on experience caring for cats with all kinds of personalities—from playful and curious to shy and independent. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, playtime, brushing, and giving cats the space they need to feel safe and relaxed. I understand that cats thrive on routine and familiarity, so I follow care instructions closely and pay attention to their individual cues. Whether your cat loves interactive play or quiet companionship, I make sure they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while you’re away.

“I cannot thank THEODORE enough. I had several interviews and he stood out strongly. I am so grateful to have found him, he was the perfect solution to being able to leave my house & kitty for a 15 trip to Antarctica. This was my first ever housesit experience from Theodore, but from the very beginning he made me feel so comfortable & I knew Sabbat would be in safe in his hands. Theodore kept in contact throughout my trip with photos and updates of Sabbat which I appreciated and put my mind at ease. He respected my home and when I returned to a neat and tidy house, a well-cared for kitty, clean dishes, and a clean countertop, I was very happy indeed. Trustworthy, reliable, friendly, and genuine, Theodore went above & beyond and I hope to welcome him back again soon. I can now safely plan other trips knowing that my Sabbat will be well taken care of. I know my kitty loved him by the photos and the looks Theodore captured and relayed. Absolutely the best, I will be rebooking soon.”

“Heather is great with our 3 cats and when we come home we can tell they have been well taken care of! Heather is very communicative and even gave our girls a little Christmas gift! We will use Heather again!”

“Evee had an absolutely amazing time! Sami sent updates everyday and included pictures, I loved knowing my girl was well taken care of she got to go to the park, had lots of cuddles, and was visibly excited to see sami by day 3, would definitely book again and recommend to anyone!”

“Bubs had a great time with Khanh! She was able to accommodate his need to physically be away from other dogs because he’s not quite old enough to get all his vaccines. He was always excited to get to daycare in the morning! She was also willing to work with me and my crazy work schedule - we’ve already booked more time with her. I trust her with my puppy. 🤗”

About: Finding the right sitter matters — especially when your dog needs more than just a walk and a bowl refill. That’s where I come in. I have over 15 years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. From energetic puppies to senior dogs and behaviorally challenging cases, I’ve cared for and handled dogs with a wide range of needs. My background includes extensive volunteer work at animal shelters, where I gained valuable experience reading canine body language, managing stress, and working safely with dogs that require extra patience and structure. In 2021, I earned my Certified Dog Trainer credential through Animal Behavior College, and I continue my education through Leerburg University, focusing on canine behavior, handling, and communication. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — every dog is different, and I tailor my care to what helps your dog feel safe, calm, and confident. If you’ve been told your dog is “too difficult” or “too much” for most sitters, I encourage you to reach out. I have experience with reactive, anxious, high-drive, and medically complex dogs, including administering medications and injections when needed. My goal is not just to watch your dog, but to advocate for them while you’re away. For safety and individualized care, I only accept one family of dogs at a time. This allows me to focus fully on your dog’s routine, comfort, and well-being — no overcrowding, no chaos. I’d love to schedule a meet & greet so we can make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. You’ll leave knowing your dog is in capable, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring hands. Thanks for stopping by my profile — I look forward to meeting you and your best friend soon. I'm hoping to make canine boarding/training my new job. I still work full time in a hybrid remote role. I will only accept boarding reservations where I know I will be home. I prefer to exercise dogs by walking them, but will do anything to keep your friends on their own routine. Anything you can share with me about your dogs preferred routine will help me keep their schedule as normal as possible.

“Kayla was so friendly and super accommodating when we had to pick up a bit late due to car issues. She sent texts and photos and we felt very comfortable knowing Sophie was not caged up in a kennel while we enjoyed our time on the Verde Canyon Railroad!”

About: Hi! My name is Stephanie, and my husband, three kids (3, 7, and 10) and I are so excited to love your dog while you’re away! A Roof for Ruffs is the brainchild of our 10yo daughter. We are a foster family for a local dog rescue organization where we take in one or two dogs at a time until they can find their forever homes. We’re having so much fun with fostering that our sweet girl suggested we take on paying clients between our fosters, and donate some of the proceeds to the same local dog rescue organization. ♥️ I’ve owned dogs my whole life. Between fostering, petsitting for family, neighbors and friends, and caring for my own pups, I have experience with all ages—from very young puppies to seniors and everything in between; small and large breeds; well-behaved and questionable; medical cases, and even the occasional cat. 😱 Your dog’s vacay siblings for their stay will include a 2yo female Great pyr/St. Bernard rescue pup, and two 4yo guinea pigs. We are so very excited to meet your dog, and to treat them like family for their stay. My husband works full time, but I am a freelance writer with flexible hours working from home while caring for our three kids. In other words: your pup won’t be left alone often! 😆 **Please note: all pets must have proof of updated vaccines and be okay with kids (they will be loved on and spoiled by our kiddos while they’re here!) I am home daily with my kids, so lots of potty breaks and playtime is possible throughout the day. We are available most weekdays or weekends unless blocked while we have a foster or for travel. We have a 4-foot aluminum fence in the backyard and live on a public park with a walking trail for easy exercise options. We have extra dog crates here if your pup is crate-trained or feel free to bring your own.

“Leti was great! She was quick to respond to my booking request, was friendly, flexible, and had good communication overall. My dog had so much fun playing with Leti’s dogs and running around in her spacious backyard. I really appreciated her hospitality towards my dog and her keeping me updated while she was taking care of him. I felt confident that he was in good hands. Thanks again Leti! ?”

“LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE taking Rambo to Melissa! Her and her boys keep Rambo so entertained. He gets in the car and immediately goes to sleep lol I can tell he loves being with Melissa and her family!”

About: What sets me apart is that I genuinely treat pets as members of the family, not just animals I’m watching. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, including shy or nervous dogs who need extra patience to build trust. I’m attentive to details, follow routines closely, and understand how important consistency is for a pet’s comfort and well-being. Because I care for my own dogs daily, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels and communicating concerns promptly. My goal is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while their owners are away, and for owners to have peace of mind knowing their pets are receiving personalized care. I also stay on top of things like cleaning up after them, maintaining their routine, and watching for any signs that something might be off. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so fitting pet care into my day feels very natural. In my home, pets are treated like family. I maintain a consistent routine for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, and playtime. I provide a safe, clean, and supervised environment where pets receive plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. “Keri is amazing! Always on time, takes good care of our boy Kirkby, sends great pictures and very responsive. This was a last minute request and she was able to accommodate. Very thankful for Keri!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little, house sitting for neighbors when I was in high school. I worked at a vet clinic that offers doggy daycare and boarding. I know how to administer medication to dogs of all ages and temperaments. I can navigate nervousness in your pup, and help them feel comfortable when you aren’t home. I also have two dogs of my own, both high energy breeds, so I understand the need to exercise your beloved pets and make sure they have proper mental and physical stimulation. Your dog or cat deserves the love you give them everyday, even when you’re away from home; and I intend to give them that same love when I take care of them. I work fully remotely so I am available to assist almost any day of the week and really anytime, with a preference for middays and evenings. Even if I don’t have my availability listed for that day, please reach out and I will always try my best to accommodate! For my own dog, I have him crate trained so he don’t get into anything dangerous while I am gone. As for others animals I make sure they have constant access to fresh water, that their schedule is met, meaning consistent potty breaks, feedings ie. (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and playtimes. Finley is leash reactive, so having experience in that would be beneficial if your pup isn’t as easy of a walker if you’d like them to be.
About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of hands on experience caring for pups of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I currently have two amazing dogs of my own. Khloe is a resilient 11 year old that has overcome major medical challenges, including a leg amputation and daily medication routines, and Oakley is an energetic 2 year old who keeps life exciting! Because of my own dogs, I’m no stranger to giving medication (including injections), working with limited mobility or vision, and supporting senior pets with the extra care they need. Whether your dog is a bouncing puppy or a gentle senior, I’ll treat them like family with playtime and plenty of belly rubs. I’d love to help care for your furry friend while you’re away! I work second shift, so I’m available in the mornings and early afternoons to care for your pet! I also live very close to work and am able to run home on breaks to see my dogs. In my home, dogs are treated like part of the family. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I make sure every dog gets the exercise and fresh air they need with daily walks, just like I do with my own pups. For dogs with limited mobility or who tire easily, I even have a wagon that I use to wheel them around so they can still enjoy the outdoors safely and comfortably, something I do often for my senior, three-legged dog. Inside my home, I provide a calm, structured environment. I have two crates available and can accommodate both crate trained dogs and those who prefer to free roam. I always take the time to understand each dog’s routine and personality so I can tailor their care, whether that’s sticking to a medication schedule, providing quiet time, or making sure they have plenty of play and affection. In a client’s home, I aim to follow your routines as closely as possible to keep your pup comfortable and stress free while you’re away. My top priority is always the safety, happiness, and well-being of your dog.
“Katie is WONDERFUL!! Wags, my overweight beagle (who lets me live there with my cat Top!) is already showing signs of having more energy. When I come home, he is bouncing up and down to meet me. It has been a while since he had this energy; I know it’s ALL because of Katie walking Wags! Besides this, Wag’s loves Katie and didn’t give me a second look when she came for him!!!♥️♥️”

“Camryn always takes such good care of my dog! She spends so much quality time with her and is prompt in communicating with pictures and any updates as they come. Every time I come back, I can tell my dog is much happier and had a fun time with her!”
About: I have had a dog since birth. I have both big and little dogs, and I'm not intimidated by much. Each dog shows love differently. I am a full time sitter now. We have a fenced in back yard, toys, love, and attention. Each animal deserves respect, dedication, and love to help make them feel safe always.

I respect each pet’s personality—whether they’re playful, shy, or independent—and adjust my care to meet their needs. Cleanliness, safety, and communication are always priorities, and I make sure owners feel confident and updated while they’re away.
“Keyonnah is so nice and is very responsive to my last minute requests. I’ll be having foot surgery soon and will be using her as my dog walker during recovery. Rina loves her!!!”

“She is thoroughly awesome. She was on time, helped with some training, even though I had just expected her to walk and sit with my puppy. I would highly recommend her. She is kind, caring and knowledgeable about dogs. :)”

About: I've been watching and loving on dogs since I was in grade school. I'm a HUGE animal lover, with a passion for dogs- I can never learn enough about them. I managed a dog boarding/daycare facility, but discovered the stress of over 80+ dogs in my care at once was a little too much for me to handle. After a couple years away, I decided to come back to the dog boarding/daycare industry part time. Doing this, I was reminded that not all dogs thrive in this type of environment and do better in a home atmosphere. I have very active dogs myself and wake up extra early in the morning to make sure my dogs are properly exercised and played with before I go to work because I believe in order to have a healthy dog, they have to be worn out both physically and mentally and that is very important to me. I now have the ability to work from home and tend to work from home when I have doggy guests staying with me. What to expect when your dog stays with me: Lower stress and home environment for your pups! I have two big dogs and a little dog and am also set up so I can keep them separated if your dog doesn't particularly enjoy k9 company! I send pictures and videos and will keep in contact with you as little or as much as you'd like. I work full time, but I'm able to work my own hours. I adjust my work schedule based on the needs of the paws in my care. I have a large fenced yard. If your pup is staying at my home, I do require that they are crate trained for the safety of your pet.
“Hannah went above and beyond, not only giving Rocco a great walk but also letting me know I’d left my garage door open and staying later than planned to communicate with me about it and fix it. She is awesome! Thanks Hannah!”

About: My husband and I have grown up with dogs and cats our entire lives. We love animals and helping out fellow animal lovers. I have experience administering insulin to diabetic animals, feeding/watering and walking. I currently work only 3 days a week and my husband works from home full-time giving us plenty of time to spend with your furry friends! Currently I work 3 days a week at a hospital in Ann Arbor but do not have a set schedule. My husband works from home full-time Pets are allowed on furniture and the bed in our home. Our yard is fenced, allowing for ample playtime outside. We currently have a 2 year old dog of our own and a 4 year old cat that is very dog friendly.
About: I am a 4th grade teacher with summers off. I have a passion for walking and dogs. So this is perfect for me! I walk my 90 lb chocolate lab (quite energetic and happy) miles everyday around the neighborhood and hiking trails. He is a pretty reactive dog (all love) so I am skilled in knowing what a dog needs and how they are reacting to the external variables on a walk, and how to react to that. I would love to meet you and your animal best friend! I have the summer off, so I am available this summer. Once school gets back in session, weekend care would also be something I am interested in. I am mainly available for dog walking and/or taking care of your animal in your home. I have helped raise 3 puppies (now big dogs) throughout the past 8 years. I am very well aware of what the animal may need and how to react to that.

“Second time that Jennifer watched Maggie, and no regrets at all, she is an amazing and understanding petsitter, I really can tell that Maggie is in good hands. The care and love to our puppy was absolutely wonderful.”

About: I have been around dogs of my own and others for my entire 38 years of life. I grew up with having at least 3 dogs at once, then when out on my own for the last 10+ years, have lived with and spoiled at least 2 dogs at a time. I currently have 2 fur kids of my own, who are very loved and spoiled. That same kind of care would translate to any dogs I care for. I'm currently working part time while studying, so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I work 3 varying days a week currently, from about 9am-5pm. A lot of time is spent at home with my own pups, and that would translate to yours. I have a good sized fenced in yard, and can provide a separate space, crating or whatever is needed between your and my dogs! I also keep the back part of my house separate.
