About: I am recently retired and have owned dogs for over 40 years. Your dog will get run of the house and the fenced back yard and can swim in the pool if they want. They can sleep on the bed and jump on the furniture, and I will always be here to keep an eye on them, short trips to the grocery store and the gym notwithstanding. I will only take on one dog at a time so your dog will get maximum attention. Please have all vaccinations and flea and heart worm meds current if you have outside dogs. I have a fenced yard for supervised play, and they can also pee and poop there in between the two daily walks they have in a sidewalked neighborhood. I have been a rover host for 4 years but had to take a new months off due to illness in my family. But I am back now and ready to spoil your dog and do everything I can to make them happy while you are away. I have been a Rover sitter for 4 years under the name of William and Bill Karp & Wiley, but William died, and I reported it to Rover, and they closed his account. So I am starting over. I am retired and am always home, I will watch your baby day and night in a safe environment with a big fenced yard. I make your dog my priority, so there will be walks every day and frequent trips to play in the back yard. I only take one dog in my home. The house is in a safe neighborhood, and the doors are always locked. Your dog will get maximum cuddles and rubs during the day if they like that.
“Very prompt, did well with my older, set-in-her-ways older dog; and made sure the young one got what she needed. Went the extra mile, when asked to put the young one in her crate when she left.”

About: I have my own dog named Jake, he is now entering his senior years and just turned 13 this past December. I’ve had him since he was about a year old and we’ve been able to make lots of great memories together. I’ve worked at multiple grooming salons and have had limited veterinary experience. The vet experience has taught me to provide pets with liquid medication as well as pill medication. I have also raised kittens, not only when I was in school, but I now have my own kitten named Oakey, and she’s a fast growing girl! My own dog has problems with arthritis, so I know how important it is to take care when tending to your pets specific needs. Overall, I have strong love for animals and feel that the care I can provide to them will leave both pet and parent happy. I work full time in a remote setting which allows lot of flexibility location wise. My weekends and evenings are where I’m most available to provide care I currently do not do day care stays at my own home, but for care provided in my clients home I would ask for a list of requests so I can give your pet the care you desire. With my own dog, I’ve found he’s most comfortable in his own home, so I am confident that following your pets normal daily routine is the best way to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe while you are away.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. My whole family is dog people, so I grew up knowing what it means when a dog is part of the family, not just a pet. I currently have my own dog at home, so I know the little things: the routines, the excitement when someone walks in the door, the way they perk up the second they hear the leash. I’m the person who stops on the street to say hi to every dog I pass. For drop-in visits and walks, that means your dog gets real attention, not just someone checking a box. I’ll follow their routine, give them the exercise and love they need, and treat your home and your dog with the same care I’d want for mine. Whether you’re a dog mom or dog dad who needs a reliable set of hands while you’re at work or out of town, I’ve got you and your pup covered. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to be consistent and reliable for drop-in visits and walks throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. I like being able to keep a steady routine for the dogs I care for, since dogs do best when they know what to expect. Since I focus on drop-in visits and walks, I come to your home so your dog stays in their own comfortable, familiar space rather than being taken somewhere new. I always make sure doors and gates are secure before letting a dog off leash in the yard, and I take time to read each dog’s body language since not every dog wants the same kind of interaction. I’m careful and attentive, especially with dogs who are more selective about their space, since I have my own dog who’s the same way.”
“Ashley was absolutely amazing!!! Kept me updated throughout the entire hour & even went out of her way to help with potty pads for the doggies. From the pictures I could tell they loved her and had lots of fun!”
About: I've been taking care of dogs for friends, family, and myself since I was 13. I've had rescues, older dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, and puppies. I've done basic obedience training and potty training with small and medium sized dogs and I've also taken care of older foster dogs I'm currently in between jobs so I have plenty of free time to watch and play with your furry family. I'm home full time 7 days a week and I live with my two retired parents I have a fenced backyard so they can run and play to their hearts content without any outside worries. I don't currently have animals of my own. I have no problem with crating a dog if requested, but I prefer to let them roam and be in the same room as them to watch over and play with.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
