Brenda C.

“This was our first time leaving Ipa, our 10 month old Brittany, at a sitter's house so we were really nervous. Safe to say Ipa came home happy and Brenda did a great job of reassuring us he would be fine! We met Brenda the evening before and were super appreciative of her flexibility and willingness to answer all of our questions. She was patient and kind and very responsive during the sit. She sent us pictures and videos which were very much appreciated. We will be using Brenda again!”

“John has always been there when I needed him last minute to watch my dog and I have a Doberman who is 115 pounds of pure energy and it seem like whenever I left him at John’s house by the time I picked him up after work he was all pooped Let alone I witnessed John train both of his dogs as we grew up not once did you ever have to raise his voice or raise a hand I definitely vouch and say your dog is in great hands”

About: I have access to military bases and can work with your on-post pet! I grew up with dogs, pet-sitting cats, going to horse camps, and volunteering at animal shelters! I have had my own dog for over 9 years and have spent countless hours helping in Humane Societies. My whole family believes that every dog should be pet, snuggled, and spoiled! I am currently at home with my two children during the day, so we have plenty of time to spend snuggling and playing with your puppy! Whether at the dog park, on walks, or in our home for boarding, your dog will be sure to get lots of love from my whole family. I am available for daily walks, daily daycare, or short stay boarding (a week or less). I have a fenced yard and a 9 year old Puggle (who acts a bit like a puppy still!) to keep your dog entertained. My dog goes into a crate whenever we are not home and we are happy to crate your dog if that is his/her normal routine. We have two young children who are very familiar with dogs and are very gentle. We do ask that any dogs that are in our home are comfortable around kids!

About: I’ve took care of my first pet for 13 years and I been taking care of my new pet for 3 years now. Our family pet is a member of our family. She’s our furry girl!! I’m a teaching assistant and I’m off in the summers. This will be a seasonal profession. We have plenty of room here for your furry friends. My favorite walks are at the Croton Dam. My yard is not fenced. However, we have a very large property and we live on a cul-de-sac. We have a 4 year old Lab.

Ashley W.

“Ashley provided all day care for my puppy, Winnie, in her home while I was working. It was a joy to work with Ashley. She provided a loving and safe environment for Winnie, kept me up to date with frequent pictures of Winnie playing and being comforted, and best of all, I was able to have peace of mind. I highly recommend Ashley!”

Kiera C.
About: Hello, I'm Kiera, and I've been training dogs and working with animals for years. Having no limit to my interest, I'm experienced with everything from fish to horses. I'm also fascinated with canine and feline nutrition, and I have a hard time imagining not living and working with animals. Meeting the needs of pets is of the utmost of importance in order to enable their happiness, and I strive to make it easier for others. I've grown up with dogs, cats, and fish, and I've spent plenty of time working in both an animal hospital and barn. I know how difficult it can be to entrust your animals care to others, and I hope to offer comfort to people by giving their pets the same care as I give my own. I take pride in my knowledge of dog body language and behavior, which I utilize to understand them as individuals alongside their motivations. Not only am I well-versed with intricacies like giving medications, but I have met a variety of dogs and learned how to best navigate different personalities and quirks. (And I hope to learn more! No one is ever done learning.) Through my collective work with dogs I gained confidence in my handling abilities, learned how to take a proactive approach to problem-solving, and haven't yet encountered a mess I can't clean up. Additionally, any opportunity to build relationships and learn from new personalities is incredibly valuable to me as a dog trainer, so I look forward to getting to know your critter and what lights them up! Please feel free to reach out about scheduling any of the listed services, or to discuss others. My availability is often open-ended as different aspects of pet care and training remain my priority. I make my own schedule, so you can expect flexibility. As someone sensitive to my own surroundings, whether in my home or yours there is always plenty of attention to the environment. Most obviously this means that spaces are continuously kept clean and safe. In addition to thorough routines, I'm definitely the "clean-as-I-go" sort and like to leave each place I spend time in a little cleaner when I move on. Things like access to fresh water, comfortable bed/crate, adequate mental stimulation, exercise, and enriching activities are all no brainers. I keep a close eye on the condition of animals in my care and regularly inspect for things like smalls cuts or signs of skin irritation.
