“My pup loved staying over at Brandin’s! Highly recommend! I look forward having them care for my fur babe the next time we need a sitter! Thank you Brandin and Diana for taking such great care of my gentle giant! ❤️”

“Nadia is a gem! She took the time to ask questions so she would be knowledgeable about Rocky and his habits. She sent pics and videos during his stay, which we enjoyed. We definitely appreciated Nadia and dog caring ways.”

“Maisy was wonderful! From setting up a meet and greet to being so helpful throughout the stay. She sent pictures to keep us updated. The rates were reasonable and worth it. Will definitely book again in the future!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs from the time I was 10 and everything from a St Bernard to cats. I can ensure you that your pet will be cared and lived for while they are with me. I currently work from home and can provide around the clock watch care. When I’m not working I like to spend my time with my cat and dog. For drop in care I can take your dog on walks or whatever you would like. If it is overnight care in my home they can have as much outside time or as little as they like. I have a fenced yard as well. I do not provide overnight care at the clients home.
“5 stars x2! Ruby had the best time and Marilyn made her feel right at home. This is the perfect place for your furbaby to get plenty of attention and adventure! Ruby will absolutely be going back.... I think her vacation was better than ours! Thank You Marilyn!!!”

“Lauren was absolutely amazing! I needed an overnight stay in a pinch and she was so communicative and easy to work with. I really appreciated her care for Clover and I will definitely be using her services again. She also has wonderful dogs of her own at her home and I know that my pup loved making new friends.”

About: A dog has always been in my house growing up, except when I moved to lawrence to go to school/work. I learned to take care of dogs since I could walk. My first dog was a German Shepard. I learned how to brush, clean, feed, and exercise around 6 years old and have loved dogs ever since. From middle school until now I had a side gig of watching extended family/ friends dogs for the weekends, so I have worked with all types of dogs such as pit bulls, labs, Rottweilers, shorthairs, boxers, huskies, and I also have experience with small dog breeds such as pugs, terrors, mini poodles, and chihuahuas. So don’t worry about what breed of dog you have I am open to all kinds!
About: I’ve been a cat owner for about four years and have had a corgi in my life for the past year. I genuinely love animals and enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and routines. I work from home, which gives me lots of flexibility and allows me to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and cuddles throughout the day. I work remotely from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. I’m only in the office on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. I’ll care for your pet like I would my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. I’m happy to follow their usual routine and any special instructions so they can feel right at home.
About: Taking care of your pets is my top priority and making sure you get back to a happy dog. I’ve dog sat and cat sat for neighbors, family friends and friends of my own. I always have a lot of energy and I enjoy being around dogs and playing with them and walking them. I’m always making sure I’m on top of things to make sure everything that needs to be done is done and all the requirements are fulfilled. Pets always do a good job at comforting and making us happy, so I want to make sure I do the same and give back to them. I’ll treat your furry friends as they were my own with love and care and a lot of playtime. I also do house keeping and anything else you need help with around the house or errands.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Pauline home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Pauline.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Pauline sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
