About: I’ve been a lifelong animal lover and have been caring for pets since childhood. I grew up with both cats and dogs, including a Maltese, and currently share my home with an Australian Shepherd–Brittany Spaniel mix and my cat Josie. I have rescued two former outdoor/stray cats who I named Mabel and Astrid. One lives with my Grandpa while the other was given to my cousin! My favorite side-quests are animal rescuing! 😄 Alongside this, I’ve raised puppies and kittens of all ages, cared for senior pets, given medication, and even rescued a squirrel once (my ultimate side quest!). As said, I’ve occasionally helped strays by feeding and socializing them over the years, which has taught me patience, gentleness, and how to read animal body language. Professionally, I work in the behavioral health field, with over five years in Applied Behavioral Analysis as a behavior tech and a year as a mental health therapist student. I naturally apply those skills when working with animals by reading into the “unsaid.” Whether that is helping an anxious dog feel safe, reinforcing positive behaviors, or calmly navigating new environments, I am ready! I understand that pets are family. I prioritize safety, consistency, and clear communication so you can feel fully at ease while your pet is in my care. Whether your pet needs playtime, structure, cuddles, or space, I’m attentive to their individual personality and needs, and I genuinely love making sure every furry friend feels happy and understood. I am available to provide pet care services anytime between May 12 and July 12, 2026. During this period, I can accommodate flexible schedules and multiple visits per week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I prioritize consistency and routine for pets, ensuring they receive regular feeding, exercise, and attention. After July 13, 2026, I will be working full-time and will only be able to accept a limited number of clients for very minimal days, so I plan to carefully manage my schedule to maintain high-quality care and attention for each pet. I prioritize safety, trust, and a positive environment for every pet in my care. I ensure secure spaces, supervise playtime, and maintain a calm and structured routine. I tailor care to each pet’s individual personality and needs, whether that means cuddles, exercise, or quiet time. About: A former animal shelter kennel with previous experience in a structured doggy daycare setting. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do occasionally — it’s part of my everyday life. I’ve worked with kennel packs of all different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I’m very comfortable reading dog body language and stepping in when needed. Whether a dog needs redirection, reassurance, or just a little space, I pay attention. I naturally keep an eye on health and behavior. If a dog’s appetite changes, their energy feels off, or something just doesn’t seem right, I notice. Animals can’t tell us when they’re not feeling their best, so being observant matters to me. Enrichment is important to me as well. Beyond playtime, I’ve provided structured group play, one-on-one attention, scent activities, toy rotation, and quiet rest time. Every dog is different, and I adjust based on what helps them feel comfortable and balanced. Cleaning and sanitation are part of my daily routine, so maintaining a safe, clean space is second nature. I’m familiar with proper kennel protocols and safe disinfectant use to keep everyone healthy. I’m also very comfortable with feeding routines. Measuring portions, following specific instructions, and understanding appropriate daily intake for both dogs and cats is something I’ve done consistently through my work. Outside of my professional roles, I’m the founder and minister of a church for animals, Heimey’s Home Animal Sanctuary, here in Topeka. Building and leading this work has given me experience with animals in many different stages of life, including those who need extra patience, structure, and steady care. When you leave your pet with me, they’re not just being watched. They’re with someone who does this work every day and truly respects the responsibility of caring for someone else’s animal. Being that having an animal sanctuary and working at an animal shelter is my daily life, pet care fits into every moment of every day. I don't get burned out on it as this is my passion. It's something that I enjoy doing. I'm available most days for at home visits and sitting at your house! I currently run an at home church for animals, a residential animal sanctuary that is growing in presents online steadily by the name of Heimey's Home Animal Sanctuary. I apply all of my work knowledge at home but I do soften it due to it being a home setting. My animals get consistent hands on care, enrichment and play. Food bowls and water bowls are always filled, litter boxes are always tended to. Our dog gets walked every single day. She gets daily enrichment as well. I make sure to line up their medical care the best that I can. My life is animal caregiving so this is projected in everything that I do.

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for years. Experienced with puppies, seniors, feeding routines, walks, playtime, and providing safe, reliable, loving care for all pets. As a college student-athlete , I have a flexible schedule. I’m available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, allowing consistent care, walks, feeding, and quality attention. I follow all care instructions carefully, keep pets supervised, secure doors and leashes, maintain clean spaces, and provide updates so owners feel confident and trusted.

About: I have had my own personal dogs for a little over a year. But I have been pet sitting for longer than that. I am able to work on training that has been set in place and I am able to help care for senior dogs. I have had cats my entire life so I am capable of cleaning out litter boxes and playing with the cats with toys. I am currently working part time as a kitchen assistant so I am only available at certain times during the week. Also there are some days where I will have to work full time and sometimes my schedule changes the day of. I would try to keep any previous schedule that had been set for the client’s pets. I would walk and play with them as necessary. It would be my goal to make this easy on both the owners and the pets.

About: I love all pets, but I have a particular affinity for special needs pets. When my own pup was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy, I dedicated myself to giving him the best care, and ultimately, the best life possible. Pets are beloved members of the family and I promise to love and care for your pets as if they are my own. I welcome all shapes, sizes, and abilities. I provide boarding and house sitting services. Whichever you choose, please know that your pet will be given the best care and so much love! I find that pets are generally more comfortable in their own space. I am happy to visit yours! My schedule is quite flexible and I am open to long-term set schedules or the occasional drop-in. I try my best to keep my calendar updated. I currently do not offer boarding services, however, you can be sure that both your home and your beloved pet will be safe with me.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs back home my personal favorite were my wiener dogs. I’ll treat them just like my niece or nephew. I’ve been a house sitter looking after dogs for some of my colleagues and family.I also got a two puppers of my own Just leave the dogs schedule and requirements and I’ll do exactly that. I also have a background in medical training as a hospital corpsman in case of any emergencies. I’m a Veteran going to college so My schedule is pretty flexible these days. I have a pretty good routine with my dogs so extra dogs are no problem. My dogs already have a set schedule, they love to play in the backyard, and love walks and pup cones! My house has plenty of rooms and easy access through the doggy door to the back yard. And a lot of room around the house. It’s a pet loving home, some could say the run the house ❣️

About: Hello!! My name is Maisy. I have worked in various different animal related jobs for the last 5 years, I worked at a doggie daycare/boarding facility and I currently am a dog trainer. I have experience with both puppies and elderly dog as well as cats, reptiles, birds, and farm animals. I also am open to limited contact boarding for people reacting dogs and can do crate rotation for dog reactive dogs away from mine. I work in the evenings 4 days a week so I spend the mornings/afternoons out playing with the pups then they take naps in kennels while I’m at work and we play some more when I get home. I also can move my dogs kennels out of the “dog room” and your dog can just stay in there instead of a kennel if they are more comfortable that way. I have 5 dogs that are very active and friendly. I have a fenced in yard the dogs love to run around in and inside we have lots of toys and comfy places to take naps (which will be put up if there are problems). If I’m not at home or at night all dogs will be kenneled for safety.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for a very long time. I own a cockapoo named BaeLee and she is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. I now own 2 dogs: Benito and Bernie. Benito is a Rottweiler mix and Bernie is a lab/pitbull. I adopted both from the shelter and have loved my new additions to my family. I take care of my family’s and friend’s dogs all the time from watching them, playing with them, feeding them, and walking them. I am very good with dogs and can be very patient if I need to be. I love sitting down and working on tricks. Having two puppies has taught me the importance of routine and training but also fun! I take care of my pup daily. From the time I wake up until I go to sleep I am always attentive to her needs. Every now and then I’ll take care of my uncles dog throughout the day and take him out every two hours. I am very nice and patient with animals. I love to pet them and play fetch or tug of war. I do not like to touch other’s things when I go to their houses and I respect their rules. I don’t do what I wouldn’t like done in my home to other’s homes.
