“My pup loved staying over at Brandin’s! Highly recommend! I look forward having them care for my fur babe the next time we need a sitter! Thank you Brandin and Diana for taking such great care of my gentle giant! ❤️”

“Petra did an amazing job watching my two boys and it made our trip better knowing they were in good hands. Seeing the daily photos from the walks and cuddles made us very happy. The boys were both super happy at pickup and I could tell they both had a lot of fun. We will definitely be returning for future trips.”

“Jennifer took great care of Darby, which really put my mind at ease. She didn't do well at dog boarding, and Jennifer was the solution to our worries! We'll definitely book again!”

“Nadia takes such great care of our dog! She sends fun little updates so we always know how she’s doing. You can tell she really loves caring for pets and treats them like her own!”

About: For over 11 years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, providing dependable, attentive, and personalized care that gives owners complete peace of mind. I work part time and I am free after 12 am to give your pet all the attention that they deserve to make them feel right at home! Whether your pet stays with me or I visit your home, my goal is the same: keep their routine as close to normal as possible. For boarding, your dog becomes part of my household — same feeding times, walks, and bedtime habits, with free run of a secure, fenced yard and constant supervision. For house sitting, I stay overnight at your place, keeping their routine steady while also looking after your home (mail, lights, the usual). For drop-in visits and walks, every stop includes fresh food and water, a walk or potty break matched to their energy level, and playtime or cuddles. And for day care, I offer supervised one-on-one attention rather than a crowded group setting, balancing active play with rest. Across every service, you’ll get photo and video updates so you always know how your pet’s doing.
“Cheryl did a wonderful job with Lady. She kept us informed with daily pictures and comments. A plus rating. We will definitely use her as our primary dog sitter and highly recommend her to anyone.”

“This was my 2nd time using the rover service and 2nd time leaving my fur baby with Magen. It was no surprise that she was amazing! My pup barely even noticed me and was walking towards the door to go inside without me even getting to say goodbye first, lol. She sent me updates & photos throughout the visit and it was only for one night this time. Communication has always been good and drop off/pick up both were good! She sent Ruben home with some little treats and he was a happy boy! I will leave my pup with her and her family any time I need! Thank you for taking such good care of my little dude! :)”

“Amelia and Matthew are very nice and patient with Mica during daycare and boarding and even gave him a bath! I received frequent update pics and videos of Mica. He obviously had such a fun vacation at Amelia’s home and made furriends too! Thank you for taking care of Mica, will bring him back again for sure!! Highly recommend ♥️♥️”

“Mike and Jennifer did a wonderful job keeping us informed and sending pictures of our little guy. I was worried leaving him but after our meet and greet I knew Alden would be in good hands. Alden had a good time playing with their dog. I will definitely use them again. Thanks for taking such good care of our little guy.”

“Cassandra was amazing!! Not only was she accommodating for our last minute boarding request but she sent pictures and checked in throughout the week. The dogs were clearly well taken care of and happy. We will absolutely book again in the future!”

About: In my day job I am a home health/ Hospice assistant so I not only have experience taking care of people I also take care of people's fur babies when they are unable to. I also grew up with dogs so there is not a day that goes by in 25 years I have not taken care of a furry friend I currently work monday through friday 730am to 330 pm so afternoons and weekends are when I am most avaliable, and over nights as needed. I have vast knowledge of walking safety, leash control/safety, environmental triggers, and the importance of hydration and rest. When pet setting, I like to have a secure outdoor/ yard area, i stick to the owner and dogs set routine, and I like to respect that I am a guest in the animals home
About: A dog has always been in my house growing up, except when I moved to lawrence to go to school/work. I learned to take care of dogs since I could walk. My first dog was a German Shepard. I learned how to brush, clean, feed, and exercise around 6 years old and have loved dogs ever since. From middle school until now I had a side gig of watching extended family/ friends dogs for the weekends, so I have worked with all types of dogs such as pit bulls, labs, Rottweilers, shorthairs, boxers, huskies, and I also have experience with small dog breeds such as pugs, terrors, mini poodles, and chihuahuas. So don’t worry about what breed of dog you have I am open to all kinds!
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Big Springs
I was so nervous about leaving my dog with someone I didn’t know while I was out of town, but Paige completely put my mind at ease! She was amazing! She kept me updated with lots of photos and videos, which made being away so much easier, and I could tell my pup was having the best time. She was also incredibly flexible with my last minute booking, and I truly appreciated that. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’ll definitely be booking with Paige again. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Big Springs home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Big Springs.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Big Springs sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
