About: I grew up on a farm, where caring for animals was simply part of everyday life. From livestock and horses to dogs, cats, birds, and small animals, I learned early that every animal has its own personality and needs. Today, I also share my home with exotic pets (ferrets) which has given me experience with specialized care, enrichment, and close attention to health and behavior. Whether your pet is young, energetic, shy, or enjoys a slower pace, I provide patient, attentive care tailored to their routine. I'll follow your instructions carefully, treat your pet like family, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. As a self-employed business owner, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care rather than trying to fit them in between other commitments. That flexibility means I can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits, maintain your pet's normal routine, and provide reliable, consistent care. Whether it's a walk, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I'll make sure they receive the attention they deserve while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, potty breaks, and any special preferences or restrictions. I understand that staying in a familiar environment helps many pets feel more relaxed while you're away, so I strive to keep their routine as normal as possible. I'll treat your home with the same respect I would my own, ensure doors and gates remain secure, use leashes and harnesses as directed, and always keep a close eye on your pet's well-being. You'll receive regular photo and text updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving attentive, dependable care.

“Lexi replied quickly to my request, and was super friendly and prompt! She sent great pictures of our dog during her 30-minute check in. Thank you for taking care of our Willie!”

About: I’ve cared and watched dogs and cats for several years, including drop-in services, house sitting and boarding. I have also owned cats and dogs almost my entire life and love spending time around them. I work full time, but have summers and holidays off and free every weekend. During summers and weekends I can do several drop ins as well as sit for several days in a row. I have a large fenced back yard where dogs can run, I don’t currently have any pets of my own so the dog or cat will get 100% of the attention. If watching at your home, being respectful of the home, cleaning up after the pet and myself if any messes, leaving the home just as when I first entered.
“Barbara is amazing, she has great communication and always sends plenty of pictures and updates with every visit. My cat is usually very timid and takes a few days to warm up to people, but this is our second booking with Barbara and he came out to say hi like she was an old friend! Will definitely book with her again!”

“Hayden was amazing! It was clear she cared about our kitties. She followed our instructions and we enjoyed meeting her before she accepted to take care of our kitties. We appreciated the pictures she shared with us to let us know they were okay. We had been hesitant to try Rover and decided to take a chance. Hayden's services put us at ease. We will be requesting her again in the future. Thank you so much Hayden!”

“Mikayla is great! She is genuinely pet lover and responsible. She sent us a lot of pictures and updates so we felt very pleased and didn't worry about our animals. I'd recommend Mikayla to anyone.”

“So thankful we found Mariah. She has been so responsive and helpful. Always on time, provides great daily updates, and the best pictures. Her sweet disposition automatically put me at ease along with our pups.”

“Juanita was great with our kitties and sent us photos each day. She also brought in a package that was delivered and took care of the house. She spent time with the cats so they weren’t lonely.”

About: Please don’t allow my reduced star rating to deter you from booking with me! I unfortunately took on a couple jobs that I shouldn’t have with dogs with behavior issues and the owners ended up blaming me although I provided the best care possible. :( I am now more diligent in asking the necessary questions before accepting a job. I do this because I love animals and also to earn very much needed extra income for my family of 8. I have had pets all my life including dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, hamsters, frogs, and turtles. I also grew up in a small farm town for a good part of my childhood and was around a lot of farm animals. I currently have 1 dog of my own who is friendly and playful, as well as kids who can help keep your fur babies active and having fun. We live in a quiet neighborhood perfect for walks. I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and can work with your needs. I have mostly open availability on the weekends and also for boarding or overnight care. I have a yard with room to run, although it isn’t fenced, we do have an outdoor kennel area and a dog run line. I’m also able to crate pets inside if needed. I can also take dogs for walks around our quiet, private neighborhood, or to the dog park for more room to run.
“Jessica will be checking in on my pets while I’m on vacation. We’ve setup a few visits prior to let them get to know one another. My little Aussie-Poo can be a bit timid with new people, but Jessica has been very good with gaining his trust. Jessica has been very accommodating with scheduling. I’m very happy with her watching my fur babies.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pasco. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
