“Dakota - and I - LOVE Brittany and her family. She loves dogs and is wonderful with ours. I couldn't ask for a more caring and communicative sitter. We have had several short stays with her but this time she had our boy for 2 ½ weeks, and everything was great. Dakota will be back!”

About: Hi there, we're Alex and Dasher — your dog's second family! 🐾🎾 Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have Dasher, and raised him from a clumsy, curious little puppy into the happy, well-mannered goofball he is today. Along the way we've done it all together: crate training, obedience work, and of course tons of playtime, belly rubs, and zoomies in the backyard! Because I work from home, I get to spend my days with a dog by my side, which means I understand the importance on companionship, routine, and a calm, loving environment. Your pup won't just be "watched" while you're away — they'll be genuinely cared for, cuddled, played with, and given all the attention they deserve. Dasher especially loves making new friends, and he's always excited to welcome another dog into our home. Together, we'd be thrilled to open our door (and our hearts!) to your furry family member. So if you're looking for a place where your dog will be treated like part of the family, we'd love to meet you both. Come say hi, we can't wait! I am typically out at the gym from 5:30–7:30 in the morning M-F. Your pup would have some independent time, and even then it's a short window before I'm back and fully available for walks, feeding, and playtime for the rest of the day. Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'll able to check in, play, and take breaks with your dog throughout the day instead of leaving them alone for long stretches. Your dog's safety and comfort always come first. We have a large, fully fenced backyard, so there's plenty of room for your pup to run, sniff, and play freely without any worry. And our very friendly golden retriever, Dasher, would love nothing more than to become your dog's new BFF. We also take safety seriously behind the scenes. Dasher is crated at night and any time I need to step away, so he always has a safe, cozy space of his own. This would be the same for any pup in my care. While dogs are out and about with us, I'll keep a close eye on them to make sure they're staying out of trouble and not getting into anything they shouldn't. I'm also comfortable handling medications, following specific feeding schedules, and accommodating any special routines your dog is used to at home — just let me know what they need. I know leaving your dog with someone new can feel like a big step, so building trust matters to me just as much as it does to you. I'm always happy to set up a meet-and-greet beforehand, answer any questions, and send updates while you're away to give you peace of mind.
About: I am a dog lover and have taken care of pets all my life. Family and friends have relied on me to help take care of their fur babies. I am an active retired person with plenty of time to work around most schedules and pet care needs. I am flexible and accommodating, and my schedule allows for dedicated time with your pet. I have a fully fenced yard and a friendly and mellow medium-sized dog. I like to take walks around the neighborhood and can walk your dog as desired. I treat your pet like my own and give them all the love and attention they want.
“Dakota was great! She took really good care of my dog, and sent wonderful pictures and videos of my dog while we were away. My dog really enjoyed his stay with her. I would totally recommend her!”
“Kaila was responsive to a last minute booking request for the following day and communicated quickly and frequently. Havi stayed for a night and had a great time socializing with Kaila's dogs and playing with their toys. We received lots of pictures and updates! Kaila clearly loves her pets and makes sure visiting pets are welcome and cared for. When Havi was being picky about breakfast Kaila hand-fed her to get her started. Kaila was honest about Havi slipping out the front door, but they immediately got her back inside. She also took the time to introduce us and Havi to her dogs one by one and show us her home, ask questions about Havi, etc. Havi was conked out when she came home and in good spirits!”

“I dropped the ball on finding a sitter for our extra energetic fur baby, and Liz was gracious to take her with just a few days notice. She was very nice and communication was great! Aya seemed like her normal self when we picked her up, not to stressed, or overly anxious to leave.”

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. Since I was a little kid I have always lived in a home with a lot of animals. To me a home isn’t complete without a dog in it. To be honest it’s hard for me to say the word, “dog” because my dogs are my family. I have raised my kids to not only love animals but to respect them. I do not have any small children in my home so you will not have to worry about any littles being too rough with your pet. I don’t leave my dogs in boarding kennels or get them professionally groomed. I do it at home, myself. Why? Because I’m the owner that is so nervous for my dog to be mistreated or not shown enough love. This is why I chose to be a dog sitter. I know there are other people that feel the same as I do and I wanted to be a loving safe home you can trust! That and well to be honest, it’s our way of always getting to have dogs in our home with us so it’s just as much of a treat for us as well! I recently said goodbye to my dear boy, Zeus. He was my big boy with a heart of pure gold. He gave my family and I 11 wonderful years that I am forever grateful for. I now have my OG, Duke. He was my 17 year old Yorkie and he owns a piece of my heart. I also have my newest addition, kiwi. She is my 4lb Yorkie and is just as sweet as her name. That being said, I have had Many many years of experience with all size dogs, Big to small, giant mastiffs all the way to tea cup breeds. Puppies to seniors. Our family spoils our dogs to the fullest and I would love to spoil your fur babies too! I only take on 1 dog at a time so that I can ensure your dog has all of my attention, will be safe from potential aggression from other animals they may not know and I have the ability to spoil your pup with all the love dedicated to just them and only them for anything they may need. They will have free ranged to the whole house, snuggle on furniture, sleep on beds, I have a fully fenced yard, toys, dog beds, walks, etc. I want to treat your pup like royalty. I am experienced in administering medication, accommodating any special dietary needs, particular treats. If your doggo likes to sleep with a heated blanket or be wrapped like a burrito in very specific way just to go to sleep every night (like my Zeus used to) well, I’m your person! Ha I know it all and nothing is silly or too much when it come to our fur babies! Trust me, I get it! Pictures, videos, etc, as much as you need daily! Take a breath knowing your pup is going to be Safe, loved, played with, spoiled and taken care of when they are here! I currently work part-time, can work mostly from home and make my own hours. This gives me the flexibility to be available with your fur baby for whatever he or she needs. I am available for sitting week days and weekends. My fully fenced back yard allows your fur baby to run free and be played with to get some energy out. If you prefer them to always be inside beside potty breaks, that works too. Whatever makes your pup more comfortable and happy!
“Sidney was great with our puppy. She was responsive, friendly and warm. She communicated well and kept sending us pictures through the stay. She even took him on walks and followed all the guidelines/schedule perfectly. Would definitely 10/10 recommend her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pasco
We had a wonderful experience! Peanut was very well taken care of, and I could tell he was comfortable and happy throughout his stay. I really appreciated the updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She was kind, attentive, and easy to communicate with. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of Peanut!

We cannot recommend Mayra highly enough. From the moment we left Olive in her care, we felt completely at ease — which is something we honestly haven’t experienced before after a previous bad experience with dog sitting. We were naturally a bit anxious going into this booking, but Mayra made the entire occasion completely stress-free and nerve free from start to finish. She went above and beyond keeping us updated with constant photos and videos, which meant the absolute world to us. Seeing Olive so happy, comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely cared for gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It never once felt like Olive was “just another dog” — Mayra treated her with so much love, attention, and care. The communication was incredible throughout, and the level of thoughtfulness and kindness she showed honestly exceeded all expectations. You can immediately tell she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibility seriously. We are beyond grateful and thankful to Mayra for looking after our pup Olive so wonderfully. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book with her again, and anyone considering her should feel incredibly lucky to have found her. Absolutely outstanding in every possible way.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I can’t recommend Haley enough! She was reliable, caring, and very attentive with my dog. She followed all instructions perfectly, gave regular updates and pictures, and made me feel at ease while I was away. My pup absolutely loved her – I will definitely be booking again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
