“Stephanie is an angel put on this earth to love and watch your furry loved ones. Here service is top notch. She even cut my dog's nails, something my dog will just not let me do on my own! Stephanie is one of those types of people that you recommend for just about anything.”

“Brittney was fantastic! Kept me updated the whole time. She's definitely an animal lover and I could tell Taco had a good time because he wasn't mad at me the next few days after picking him up. 12/10 we love Brittney and the rest of the pack.”
“She took such kind and attentive care of my baby, Peanut. I felt completely at ease because she kept me updated with photos, so I could see how Peanut was doing and how happy he was. I would absolutely love to book her again in the future.”

“Michelle was very responsive and took great care of our pup. She was responsible for giving meds and did a great job at doing so. Her home is very nice and I will definitely let my pup stay here again.”

“Paulina was great! She communicated quickly and was flexible with drop off and pick up times. We received lots of Havi updates with photos and videos. Additional information we shared was received positively. When it was time to pick Havi up Paulina had everything ready to go and helped load the car. Havi came home happy and in good spirits. Great service!”

“Brittany and her family welcomed my dog into their home as if he were a member of the family. He went on walks with them and to the park with the kids. They were the kindest caretakers and provided invaluable socialization opportunities. I would recommend them to anyone with a good dog, since they deserve the best.”

“Seeing my dog being free and happy with other dogs is AB-SO-LUTE-LY heart warming and a MAJOR load off my conscious while away. No regrets and absolutely thankfully appreciate Larissa's & Valerie's time and care.”

About: I grew up with dogs and had my own cats as an adult. I am also a mom and know how to take care of these fur babies as my own. I have used Rover a lot in the past and had a great experience with sitters and would love for the opportunity to become a pet sitter for someone in need! I am very flexible any day of the week! Usually anytime between 9-5 pm works great for us to stop by and check on a pet. I am happy to follow any directions you have for care for your pets and home! I am always kind and soft and let them get to know me first.
“Mayra was great with our dog. She sent us a couple pictures during her stay and kept us informed throughout her stay. I will definitely book again the next time I need some help. Thank you!!”

“Gina is a godsend! We have two very attached girls that are high energy and picky, and Gina's large fenced property and willingness to treat our girls as if they were her own are the precise reasons we would recommend her to anyone and will continue to only use her when we need someone trustworthy to take care of our girls while we are away. Gina's large fully fenced grassy yard was our dogs favorite, and she even offered toys, beds and personalized hands-on medication and hand feeding when either health or nerves were affecting our girls. They know here by name and aren't even nervous to go with her now, as they used to be when we used local kenneling facilities. We are so glad to have found her. Thanks for everything!”

About: I’ve cared and watched dogs and cats for several years, including drop-in services, house sitting and boarding. I have also owned cats and dogs almost my entire life and love spending time around them. I work full time, but have summers and holidays off and free every weekend. During summers and weekends I can do several drop ins as well as sit for several days in a row. I have a large fenced back yard where dogs can run, I don’t currently have any pets of my own so the dog or cat will get 100% of the attention. If watching at your home, being respectful of the home, cleaning up after the pet and myself if any messes, leaving the home just as when I first entered.
“Diane stayed at our home while we were away and cared for our dogs. She kept them fed and exercised. She also communicated with us daily during the trip. We appreciate the help while we were traveling.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Cooper! She and her kids loved on him, played with him, and took him on walks during his 4-night stay. It was so comforting knowing he was being treated like part of the family. We came home to a happy, well-loved pup. We highly recommend her! ❤️🐾”

About: I am a dog lover and have taken care of pets all my life. Family and friends have relied on me to help take care of their fur babies. I am an active retired person with plenty of time to work around most schedules and pet care needs. I am flexible and accommodating, and my schedule allows for dedicated time with your pet. I have a fully fenced yard and a friendly and mellow medium-sized dog. I like to take walks around the neighborhood and can walk your dog as desired. I treat your pet like my own and give them all the love and attention they want.
About: I've taken care of animals since around the age of 10. I have taken fear free courses through the Benton County Humane society and have experience training dogs as well. I'm currently working from home and have a small fenced yard. My furbaby is 8 years old, around 70 pounds and gets along well with everyone. I have dogsat for my parents and brother at the same time, totaling 6 dogs one weekend... which was a lot. Dogs are welcome on beds and furniture in my home, I would just appreciate them to be potty trained.

About: Hello, Not sure how to genuinely list my experience as it spans a lifetime of owning and caring for dogs and cats. If I were to assign a number without aging myself... it would be about a decade of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all kinds. :) Professionally, I worked for Kadlec Regional Medical Center for 12 years in nutrition services. In 2022, I left my role to be at home with our youngest child, and now that child is about to start school. Now I'm reentering into the workforce aligning with a passion and skill of mine. In addition to specifically supporting our household these past three years, I have also provided part time pet sitting, dog walking, bathing, and light grooming for friends and family. I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, and personalized care. Whether you're booking a stop by visit, a walk, or short stay, my goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you're away. Reliability and communication are especially important to me. I understand how much trust goes into leaving your pet in someone else's care, so I make it a priority to be dependable, follow routines closely, respond, and provide updates so you can have peace of mind. I genuinely care about the well-being of both pets and their owners, and I look forward to building trusted relationships with the families I serve. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I keep my schedule flexible for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, and I make it a priority to be dependable and on time. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they receive the attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect their routines and follow all instructions closely to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I pay attention to feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications if needed, and any specific preferences. I prioritize safety, clear communication, and providing a calm, caring environment where pets can feel relaxed while their owners are away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Richland
Sidney was so great to work with and sent lots of photos and updates about how our girly was doing! This was the longest we had left our pup with someone and she can sometimes be a handful as she’s young so we were a tiny bit nervous but Sidney gave us a lot of peace of mind and communicated great. Would definitely use again :) thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
